It is telling that Ricciardo's lap from the practice session remains the benchmark. Everyone else has shaved some time off, yet Ricciardo is sitting there just two tenths behind his own best mark from earlier.

I would be quite surprised if he doesn't secure pole position. Given the current state of play, Lewis Hamilton is really the only one positioned to challenge him. I doubt Sebastian Vettel has the pace, though one should never say never.

Man, Hamilton is looking like he’s taking pole position. It was such a nightmare trying to get everyone’s car dialed in, except for Red Bull Racing and their sister team, but once they finally got those adjustments right, Hamilton should have had it in the bag. Ricciardo is going to be right up there, and Vettel will be close too, though Rosberg looks a little shaky. Kimi is having a disaster, and don't even get me started on McLaren. It's absolute chaos out there.

So, they’ve picked the halo protection for next season. Ugh, it’s definitely going to take some getting used to.

Can you feel it? I wouldn't go so far as to call it a massive turning point for the season just yet, but if Red Bull Racing starts becoming a serious factor again, the entire championship dynamic is going to shift entirely.

And honestly, tomorrow's start feels like it’s going to be explosive... Lewis Hamilton really needs a win right now, and where better to grab one than in Monaco?

I’d be genuinely surprised if Lewis Hamilton manages to snag pole here.

Historically, Monaco has been Rosberg's playground—one of those rare tracks where he always seemed to have the upper hand.

P.S. — Catalonia was also pretty much Rosberg's territory since it doesn't really suit Hamilton's driving style, yet Hamilton absolutely crushed him in qualifying there.

mellowtiger83 said:Exactly. Let's just fast-forward to the end of the season and look at the standings; we might find that Eddie Irvine completely outclassed Michael Schumacher one year while driving the exact same car. That should give you plenty to think about regarding your logic on points and championship rankings.

I believe a single example is more than enough to make the point. Therefore, I—along with all the other "idiot" forum members—will conclude that Schumacher was simply the weaker driver and got thoroughly beaten.

Why do you feel the need to resort to insults just because I disagree with you?
Do you honestly think that will "strengthen" your "argument"?

He’s basically running through the divisions just like Max Verstappen.

He was chasing down pure speed, but all he ended up finding was a brick wall.

Who else is going to end up being the victim of these red flags, besides Max, obviously!?

Pushing an inexperienced rookie into an F1 seat... just wait until the bill comes due.
