😕
Why isn't ESPN showing the Race of Champions in their lineup when the official ROC site says they're broadcasting it?🤷

Who knows? Maybe they pulled the plug at the very last second. I mean, without any decent advertising behind it, who’s actually going to tune in? It feels like that's becoming the norm for most of the programming on the sports networks lately...

It’s finally kicking off... honestly, it would be about time if the old man managed to clinch 😍

He managed to grab a few wins, I suppose, 😉
but he didn't actually beat Kimi. It was more like Maldonado snatched the title away through a series of penalties... 😬

Sebastian Vettel totally botched that wheel🤣
If you're driving in Brazil, you manage to limp that car across the finish line even after a hit like that, but in Bangkok, you smash the wall and send the Harley-Davidson straight to the scrapyard😬
BTW, this is a massive win for Daisy. At least nobody was breathing down her neck at the start...😁
I guess if there's no competition, everything's fine, right?🤣

Just a little something to lighten the mood as we wrap up the year! I figured this was the perfect way to sign off on this thread before I go ahead and spin up a brand-new one for 2013...

Man, that European V8 Superstars series is actually killer—not sure if you caught the season finale at Indy
Those last two races were insane

V8 Superstars could really blow up in the next few years—could become the American version of NASCAR, you know? Tons of racing, plenty of drivers (still needs work there), and loads of wrecks

Since there's zero racing to watch during this winter slump, your favorite Aristocrat is here to give you a little history lesson.
If you click the link, you'll see what the Can-Am series was all about—it wasn't just endurance stuff, but sprint races lasting maybe two or two and a half hours, pretty much like the Grand Prix races back in the day. You’re gonna spot a ton of legends from the GP world here. We're talking Bruce McLaren, John Surtees, Phil Hill, Jackie Stewart—guys who basically drove anything with wheels, from Formula 1 cars to sports cars, endurance races, Indianapolis, the Tasman Cup, and this Can-Am series. Once, they actually asked Jochen Rindt— "What do you do, Mr. Rindt, once the Grand Prix season wraps up?" —and Rindt just shot back: "I race!" Times have changed, though. Nowadays, guys like Alonso and Vettel—total bottom-of-the-deck players (moderators, chill—calling them "bottom-of-the-deck" isn't an insult, it's just a way of saying they don't measure up to names like Rindt, Clark, or Hill in ruggedhawk20's eyes, obviously)—are probably busy hitting some spas or chilling at a ski resort. Forty or fifty years ago, their predecessors were out there actually racing. Anyway, enjoy the clips.

By that logic, Vettel, Schumacher, Grosjean, and Karthikeyan would be the heavy hitters, not the bottom of the deck... 🤷 because those four definitely drove something even after their Formula 1 seasons ended.
😉
The rest of them? Nothing. So they’d be the ones landing in that "bottom of the deck" group. 🤔

As has already been made perfectly clear to you: insults aren't judged by your personal set of rules. So, rather than wasting time drafting disclaimers, perhaps you should focus more on actually watching what you write.

Yeah, I get it, but that’s just how I roll—it’s my whole vibe. If you take that away, you might as well take everything. Fine, I promise I won't go after the users here, but poking fun at drivers, mechanics, designers, or team bosses—in a classy, stylistic way—is a compromise I’m totally willing to make.
Anyway, stop nitpicking and just watch some Can-Am 🙂
Give me a break.
