I completely forgot to weigh in on this... but well, here we go—the title ends up going to RHR after all, even though I really thought Power was going to clinch it. Honestly, hats off to them; despite being totally screwed over by the team at Sony through no fault of their own, RHR drove a masterclass out in Baltimore. They handled that oval like it was nothing, while Power just handed it away with one fatal mistake. And now, just like that, WP is the runner-up for the third year running.

But man, seeing how close Power actually got to RHR right before he slammed into the wall 😲 He could have snatched it easily if he hadn't lost it 🙏

The funniest part for me was watching Power already halfway changed into his street clothes—just standing there casually—while the crew is frantically calling him back to the cockpit because they're trying to fix the car at a hundred miles an hour 🤣

These new cars are absolutely killing it on the ovals; honestly, the whole season has been such a blast so far, though I suppose Detroit might be the one little outlier.

It’s just such a beautiful, massive expanse of rugged rock. Honestly, isn't there something deeply humbling about staring up at a landscape that's just... unapologetically heavy and ancient like that? It’s magnificent.😲

Just watched the footage, and I've got a feeling that driver number 14 really messed up, which basically triggered that whole chain reaction.

The DTM finale kicks off this weekend.
Audi’s basically out of the running. BMW still has a shot, though Mercedes—with Paffet—is sitting on a slim lead.

Does anyone know which channel is broadcasting this? I’d really love to catch one of these races if I can find it.

Yesterday’s NASCAR race was quite the spectacle—absolutely wild, really—with half the field running completely dry during the final lap. It was pure chaos! In the end, Stenhouse Jr. managed to pull off the win, which was nothing short of remarkable considering he was sitting two laps down midway through the race... definitely one of those unpredictable races that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Spengler took the win, but did anyone else see Paffet practically lunging at the pit wall there?

Big news dropped today! The brass over at the STCC and TTA finally shook hands on a deal. Starting next season, these two series are merging back together under one big banner: the STCC - Elite Racing League. Here’s the kicker, though—they’re adopting the TTA rulebook. That means we won't be seeing any Chevy or VW cars on the track next year (Volvo is the lone survivor for now), but word on the street is both manufacturers are already itching to get back in the game. Most likely, they'll make their comeback around 2014 once the 1.6 turbo engines hit the scene. Rumor has it that shift might even lure in some heavy hitters like BMW or Ford. Oh, and another cool update: they're planning to host some Rallycross Supercar events at certain races too. We don't have the full schedule yet, but I've got a strong feeling the season finale will go down at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.

Either way, since there's basically nothing else worth watching on TV right now, I'll definitely be tuning in to see how this plays out!☕

Jimmie Johnson pulled off the win and snatched the lead—he’s up by just 2 points over Keselowski now. Only 3 races left on the calendar...

Big news in the racing world! Munnich Motorsport, the heavy hitters who just snagged the FIA GT1 World Championship title this year, have decided to skip out on joining that brand-new GT Sprint Series (you know, the one formed by merging the FIA GT1 WC and the Belgian Blancpain Endurance Series). Instead, they’re pivoting hard and gearing up to jump into next season's WTCC (2013)!
The lineup looking pretty stacked—we're talking owner Rene Munnich, plus Marc Basseng and Markus Winkelhock, the duo who absolutely crushed the FIA GT1 WC this season, tying for first place with a massive 145 points each.
As it turns out, Rene, the man behind the wheel of the team, has already gotten some seat time in a WTCC race earlier this year over in Japan driving a Seat Leon. So, word on the street is his squad will be rocking those exact same cars next season.

edit: Check out this extra photo of Rene hanging out with two young Japanese ladies. The man ☕
really knows how to live life!
