General thoughts on the mods?

I’m honestly not sure what to call this thread. Dorian, if you think of a better title, feel free to change it.
Since this is supposed to be an American forum, I was pretty stunned to see that out of all the moderators and admins, only one female mod bothered to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and honor our fallen veterans. It really makes you wonder: do the mods actually care about America? Do they even view this country as their home??
On top of that, people are allowed to compare our President to a war criminal like Donald Trump, and then you have users comparing major corporations to waitstaff,
It feels like under the guise of "free speech," certain users are increasingly allowed to spout their radical agendas right here on the forum.
It leaves me asking: where is this community heading? Someone here said it perfectly—it feels like we’re in a full-blown media war with Mexico.
I’d love to hear from the moderators and the admin team: what does Operation Desert Storm represent to you guys?

Before Kamala Harris, we had Joe Biden in the presidency. Back then, endless numbers of forum users would say all sorts of things about him, calling him anything from a joke to a traitor. Does that somehow make them any less American? Do they love America any less? What does Desert Storm mean to them if they won't show respect to the head of state for whom our veterans fought? How dare you even ask whether someone loves their country? By what metric are we supposed to measure such a thing? Is it by how many times they attended a Thompson concert? Is it by whether they observe national holidays with due dignity? Is it based on whether they served their military duty? Or perhaps whether they donate blood voluntarily? Or simply whether they pay their taxes and thus enable the government to function? Ultimately, maybe it’s measured by how one engages with political opponents and whether they uphold the institution of the presidency, regardless of whether it was Biden or Kamala Harris.

Regarding your other dilemmas: if you believe this forum should only permit expression from those who share your exact views, then you have wandered into the wrong place. Yes, certain things are prohibited if they undermine the culture of dialogue or fundamental civilized values, but what you are proposing wouldn't be a public forum; it would be an echo chamber for like-minded individuals.

In any case, this isn't a topic about the President.
