New PC build: Thoughts?

Looking for some input on this new build. My old rig is basically on life support, so if this thing dies, I'm in trouble. I'll be sticking with my old monitor for now since money is tight, but I'd appreciate any suggestions or tweaks—just keep it under $1,800.

I’m a little confused about this drive setup: an HDD (maybe just for archives), a Crucial SSD, and then a WD SSD?
Is that WD supposed to be the boot drive?
If it is, I wouldn't touch it—especially not that slow Green version. I'd go with a Samsung, a Kingston KC, or whatever else they've got out there...

1. Do you really need a Ryzen 7 7th gen? You could find much cheaper options using different combinations from the 5th gen, depending on what you're actually going to use the PC for.
2. Any money saved in step #1 should be moved over to the GPU, assuming gaming is your main priority.
3. This whole mess with the SSDs that @Michael Jackson10 mentioned—if you need a ton of space for archiving or storage, it's better to go with at least a 7200RPM HDD plus one larger NVMe SSD. Or even better, take the savings from step #1 and just get a single 2TB SSD-only setup.
4. A cooler with only two heatpipes for $30 is a big no-no. But again, that depends on which CPU you pick; you can adjust the cooler accordingly.

Overall, this could be done a lot better, but we need to know what the primary use case for this computer is.

Alright, look, help me put together a build for around $1,700 to $1,800. This is what I'm thinking
mainly for gaming. I’d probably just pick everything up at Micro Center with cash
1. AMD Ryzen 7 plus cooler
2. A GPU from the AMD 6700 series or better
3. 32 GB of RAM
4. A compatible AM5 motherboard
5. A 5400 RPM HDD for bulk storage
plus a 1TB SSD specifically for games
and a 250GB SSD just for Windows
6. A case with decent airflow and a solid power supply

That bundle I mentioned in my first post isn't even available at Micro Center anyway, so this is just what I'm aiming for. Thanks in advance

You don't need a Ryzen 7 for gaming; even if you went with a Ryzen 5 5xxx series, it would work fine since you have the budget... though honestly, the 5xxx series still offers way better value than the 7xxx line.

Just check if the case looks good to you aesthetically.

You don't need a Ryzen 7 for gaming, honestly you could even go with a Ryzen 5 5xxx series, but since there's room in the budget... though I guess the 5xxx series still offers way better value than the 7xxx.

Check the case, see if you actually like how it looks.

Thanks for the help, this is good. The case? No, I hate it, it's an eyesore. I'll probably grab something up to $80; I think I have about $45 left over in the budget. And I can't stand white cases, only black. The Best Buy site is acting up so I'll look at everything in detail later. Just one question: will a Ryzen 7 fit on this motherboard? Asking because of future upgrades.
