Hi there. Can anyone recommend some good energy supplements? With this summer heat, I’ve been feeling pretty wiped out lately—especially right when I wake up, but also during the day. Thanks!

Dennis Davis5—stay hydrated, avoid being out in the heat, and please—for your own sake—steer clear of those random pills. 😉

Well, thanks for the insight... I wake up feeling like I have zero strength in my hands. It’s a struggle just to hold a glass of water. And I already drink plenty of fluids and stay out of the sun. Either give some actual helpful advice or just keep it to yourself.

Guarana. You don't need a recipe—just grab it at a CVS or Walgreens, it's cheap. It worked wonders for me, just don't overdo it... if you drink it longer than recommended, the crash makes the fatigue even worse. Stick to the suggested dose and it's a game changer.🎉🎉🎉

I'm dealing with something similar, though in my case, there are underlying health issues causing it.

Thanks for the Guaraná tea. 👍

I feel exhausted quite often, especially after a long night out on the town. I just run completely out of steam. Some people suggested my blood sugar might be low, so I've been sticking to energy drinks like Red Bull, Monster Energy, or Coca-Cola...

I'm also going to start taking royal jelly capsules again. I haven't touched them in two months, but ever since I started back in the fall of 2013, I haven't caught a single cold. Royal jelly is amazing. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Low testosterone, which leads to fatigue, brain fog, excessive sweating, and just a general lack of energy levels.

Also, constant exhaustion shouldn't be ignored; it could be linked to thyroid hormones or iron deficiency—my ferritin levels are also quite low.

Take a look at the points above and make sure you don't have a bacterial infection, which could also be the culprit. Try to avoid Coca-Cola and Red Bull; besides the sudden blood sugar spikes, which aren't great, the caffeine and taurine only create an illusion of energy. You aren't actually gaining anything; your body is just being forced into a state of hyper-alertness while the underlying issues remain. Generally, it's best to avoid carbonated drinks and stick to water... it's the best way to stay hydrated.

Is it even a mental health issue, or is it just the heat getting to everyone?

I don't have any infections or mental health issues. It might just be some stress... ☕

I’m a total novice when it comes to this stuff, but I caught an episode of Dr. Oz today where they were diving into this exact topic.😁

Apparently, body fat basically absorbs your testosterone—so if you're struggling with being overweight, that should be your first priority.

Also, you should cut back on bread, pastries, anything doughy (puff pastry, pizza, pies...) and sweets.
Not entirely sure why, though. I wasn't paying close enough attention to catch the reasoning.😁

If you're looking for a quick way to kickstart your energy levels, those Centrum multivitamins are actually pretty solid 😉

I don't have any issues. I'm 6'1" and about 167 lbs (though I carry a little extra fat due to low testosterone, even if it doesn't look like it at first glance). As for my diet, I don't touch bread, pastries, or white flour. My carb intake is very low, coming mostly from potatoes and rice...

When it comes to testing, fats are crucial. Cholesterol is actually the precursor for testosterone production and synthesis, so it plays a major role in hormone levels. It turns out cholesterol isn't quite the villain we once thought it was. Basically, less dough and more healthy fats can help manage blood sugar too. For instance, you could swap out vegetable oils for lard, keeping olive oil as an exception.

Everything else is under control on my end, but my levels are low for other reasons, so I'll likely look into TRT...

Thanks for the tip. They look a bit pricey at $33, but they might be worth a shot.😛

If you want a real energy boost, you gotta eat right. Pills don't do squat; they just give you that fake sense of being awake.

Food alone isn't the solution.

Not really. I mean, you only truly get that energy and strength after a solid meal. Everything else is just extra support for what you eat.

Let’s be real—you aren't going to get an instant energy surge from just eating some food... 😉

@ Dennis Davis5 — they actually come in a few different formats... you've got the standard tablets in both small and bulk sizes, plus those powder packets (which are supposed to kick in faster, though I haven't personally tested that yet)... maybe give the Centrum tablets a shot first, just grab a small pack to see if they even work for you 😉

@ Dennis Davis5 - you can find them in a few different ways... usually pills in small or large bottles, or those powder packets (supposedly they hit faster, but I haven't tried 'em yet). Maybe grab some Sumac supplements in a small bottle first, just to see if they even work for you.😉

Fuck all these pills. Just eat better, eat more, get more sleep, and cut back on the booze—that's how you actually get your energy up. It won't be instant, but it beats popping pills any day. No supplement is gonna save you if you're skinny or running on zero sleep.
