I wasn't really feeling it. Itβs trying way too hard.
Itβs like going to a stand-up set where the comedian just grabs you by the throatβshoving jokes right into your face while laughing hysterically at their own bits.

Honestly, that whole thing with Thor was just pathetic.
I mean, they all show up right in front of Hitler, just standing there staring at him instead of actually taking him out immediately.

nimblemarlin6 hit the nail on the head. Heβs trying way too hard. Look, he's a good actor, credit where it's due, but even if that terrible acting was intentional? They pushed it just a little too far.

I respect the take, but I think that was the point.
Itβs a tired clichΓ© in cinemaβthe villain gets a long monologue, then the hero responds. Itβs ridiculous; in half these movies, the villain and the lead could sit down for a Starbucks together and chat.
Modern films do this constantly, and don't even get me started on the eighties. Those movies were packed with this nonsense, yet we still love them.
It would be refreshing to see a main villain just take a bullet to the head without saying a single word.
In my view, they nailed that eighties vibe perfectly.

This flick captured the essence of the 80s better than any bloated Hollywood blockbuster ever could. π
If you haven't seen it yet, consider this your sign to watch it.

The Comedian is actually pretty great in this flick π€£
Plus, honestly? For such a tiny budget, the special effects aren't half bad.
I can't help but feel like this guy is giving off major Topper (Charlie Sheen) vibes from Hot Shots! Part Deux π

If you haven't seen it yet, you really should
Not quiteβit just leans hard into that hyper-ironic 80s nostalgia that everyone seems obsessed with lately.

It was okay, I guess... not bad all things considered, but I definitely expected something a bit more substantial after seeing that trailer...

My one major oversightβif you can even call it thatβwas when he handed her that phone without thinking twice. I really should have stopped him and asked, "Wait, where am I supposed to stash my savings now?" π

The best part has gotta be that 2D showdown against the Nazis and the whole Hackermann sequenceπ

Oh sure, absolute peak genius right there. Itβs just perfect because it isn't quite too cheesyβyou know, like those low-budget Sharknado flicksβbut it's actually smart enough to genuinely lift your spirits whenever you need it.
