I bet even he’d get a good laugh out of this... 🤣

I guess since you showed up to this forum, Raf hasn't played much, so you missed all his posts about Gaćopotezač. 🥳
But the Shemale thing came up a few times, no clue how you missed that... 🤔

The Gaćopotezač stuff is whatever, people talk crap about players all the time...
Besides, if any of us were put on the spot, someone would always have something to say against us. And they wouldn't be wrong... We've all made comments that deserved a ban, some more than others... But Agassi is totally fine, zero drama, I haven't seen him insult anyone, plus he stays active on the forum.
That's my call. Though we should probably check with Louie, since he's basically looking at a future colleague. Since he's pretty much running this place alone, he ought to know who he'll be working with 🤣

Look, this rustydrifter10 click

I'm with Agassi on this one. There’s just too much of it lately. All the insults, all the constant poking... I actually found an old post from back when Gregory Adams3 called me stupid. Maybe it was just childish or whatever, and I didn't take it to heart personally, but if it isn't worth keeping for the record, it should be deleted. From what I understand, that kind of stuff isn't allowed here. If I were someone else, it could have escalated into something way more serious 😉
Since we're nitpicking though... This is just one example of...

Maybe since you've been stuck on the PDF, you haven't seen much of Raf play, so you missed his posts about Gaćopotezač. 🥳
But Shemale was mentioned a few times, I don't know how you missed that. 🤔

Maybe he could actually hold back his hatred for the huge number of players if he were the moderator and could objectively penalize people for insulting Raf or Federer, or even Agassi, but I guess I'm just not so sure about that. 🙂

😬
I don't want to sound defensive... I mean, I don't want it to come off that way... but I guess I just blurt out stupid stuff sometimes when I'm worked up, so please don't take it personally.
It doesn't happen as often lately... maybe because of my late blooming 😬 or maybe just pure indifference 😁
Anyway, sorry for my colorful and inappropriate epithets, adjectives, and jokes sometimes.
Not that we aren't all doing similar things in the break-point game..

No hard feelings 🙂

I’m not trying to make excuses—though I know it sounds like one—but I occasionally spout nonsense when I'm worked up. Don't take it personally.
Lately, I've been doing it less often... perhaps due to late-blooming maturity😬 or maybe just sheer indifference.😁
In any case, my apologies for the colorful, inappropriate epithets, adjectives, and jokes I sometimes throw around.
Then again, we all engage in similar antics in this game of break-points...

No hard feelings 🙂

There are no hard feelings—there never were. 🙂

It just cracked me up seeing Larry Sanchez7 cite "objectivity" as his primary argument for potential moderation, so I felt obligated to weigh in. 😬

It would be fine if there were less of that moving forward. 🥳

It just cracked me up seeing Larry Sanchez7 being used as the main pitch for your potential moderation job based on "objectivity," so I felt like I had to jump in... 😬

It'd be nice if there was less of that stuff moving forward. 🥳

That wasn't really the main point though. This is what I wrote:

Andre Agassi is totally fine, zero drama, I haven't seen him disrespect anyone, plus he's active on the forums.

Regarding objectivity, by that I mean he doesn't get into scraps, doesn't take sides, and treats everyone pretty much the same. Most people just suggest their favorite person, which is stupid and misses the whole point... I was just going by my own gut on who would actually do a good job.

If I were picking based on who I liked best, my choice would've been way different ☕

Who even decides who the favorite is?

Let’s be realistic: slytinker11 is practically already a moderator; we're just waiting for the official paperwork. Once they appoint her, you might as well just take a ten-day break in the off-topic section. She’s been here five years, survived Sodom and Gomorrah, fought for equality between the WTA and ATP, and battled the moderators. Even now, she's the reason those Tennis PDF rules were written, striking fear into the hearts of new forum members...

On top of all that, she’s actually humane; she even stood up to the administrator for a truly underprivileged Manchild.

And I won't even mention how innovative she is, having introduced the WTA Pick.

Gregory Adams3, I see you’ve drawn your inspiration for slytinker11's pre-election campaign from Kolinda’s playbook.

Please, stop. 🤣

If we're being real, slytinker11 is basically already a moderator, she's just waiting for the official paperwork to clear. Once she gets you ... all you can do is disappear to the off-topic section for ten days ... she's been here five years, survived Sodom and Gomorrah ... fought for equality between the WTA and ATP, battled the moderators, and even caused those Tennis PDF rules to be written, spreading terror to new users even now ...

Maybe once you start taking things seriously, people might actually respect your comments.
Besides, just because someone's been around for five years doesn't make them a top-tier candidate. I mean, slytinker11 is fine, if that doesn't sound too harsh. But I think there are better options out there, simple as that. If we're using that logic, both Agassi and Greco have been here five years too.
Anyway, everyone's got an opinion ☕...
And all this talk about Agassi and Gaćopotezač... slytinker11 does the exact same thing regarding players she doesn't like. I guess we all do it, so I don't see why anyone is even bothering to call out Agassi here...

Say what you want, but we all know who actually stood up to the former moderator, Alicia K, regarding those nicknames, and who just hid in a hole like Greco. We know who fought for the rules and who actually possesses character, courage, and backbone. It isn't about whether I prefer slytinker11 over anyone else right now. Everyone here knows that slytinker11 is the best choice if we're looking for actual improvement.

And you know what the most interesting part is? If you pick Greco, even the birds on the branch know that slytinker11 will be the one running things behind the scenes.

Alright, Gregory Adams3. Props to everyone, but quit trying to tell people what they think.
We all know how it goes... ??
I know who my pick is, so... neither you nor I are gonna be the ones deciding this anyway...

I stand corrected, Gregory Adams3—you’re actually campaigning for Karamarko, not Kolinda. 😲
Fair enough, though—you'd probably thrive working in some political campaign headquarters. I suggest you reach out to William; I suspect he'd be happy to hand a high-level role at Live Wall to someone younger, just so they can feel like an adult for once. 🥳

And Larry Sanchez7, the issue isn't Gaćopotezač or any specific nickname—it's the entirety of Agassi's old posts. There was quite a bit of hate speech involved, mostly regarding Rafe.
You weren't around when Agassi was writing that stuff, so you're commenting on things you don't actually know. It seems to me you're defending him, yet the man himself is fully aware of his actions and admits to them. 😬

What a mess. 🤣

Seriously, everyone just back off. I am neither the topic of conversation nor some candidate for moderation.
Nobody even asked for your opinion. 🙂

Larry Sanchez7 said:All this talk about Agassi and Gaćopotezač... slytinker11 is doing the exact same thing with those players she can't stand. Honestly, I think we're all guilty of it, so I have no idea why anyone is even dragging Agassi into this.

It’s not about Gaćopotezač. It’s pretty obvious you don't really know what you're talking about.

Nicole Anderson55 said:And we all know who fought for those rules over there.

Okay, I absolutely have to respond to this nonsense. 😲

I didn't fight for those rules. I was against them, that's for sure. 🙂

I'm just saying you can't really pin it all on him when so many other people are doing the exact same thing (to varying degrees). Plenty of us show up here, posting or getting tossed into the mix constantly. So...
From that perspective, there’s zero point in dragging him through the mud. That's it!

Not that he's my only pick, though...

I actually reached out to the moderation team about giving us our own dedicated corner... I even went ahead and made a little break game! I did it, I really did!!

😁

But seriously, the fact is we really need some moderators on the PDF side, so I’m appealing to the higher-ups to please get this sorted out as soon as possible.

Maria, slytinker11, Gerald Thompson13—we need someone.

Thanks

Alright, folks, let’s keep things civil here—no bickering allowed. Just so everyone is on the same page, the administration is currently deciding who will step up as our next moderator. You are more than welcome to toss out some suggestions or explain why you think someone might be a great fit for the role, but please, let's leave it at that. No endless arguments or back-and-forth debates.

Man, this is a tough call. I don't really have a perfect candidate in mind because most people here seem pretty biased whenever their favorites come up—especially when they start talking about players they aren't exactly fond of. Greco is the biggest tennis nut here, and even though he can be one-sided sometimes, he feels more objective than the other candidates for moderation, mostly since his whole world revolves around tennis anyway. Then there's Maria, who seems like the most unbiased person to me; she’s one of those rare ones who doesn't immediately jump down anyone's throat just because they mentioned a rival. I guess since she's from the West Coast like me, she probably won't want the headache of moderating 🤣

I might be totally crazy for suggesting Agassi is actually objective 🤣 Don't hate me, Agassi, but if you really are being fair, then things are seriously 🙏

Oh, wait, now that I think about it, the absolute best choice would actually be Sahta, but he hasn't been around the forum much lately, and honestly, I doubt he'd even want the job.

Look, man, did I even say that? 🙂 😁
I didn't exactly put my own name in the hat for the role... Being a moderator can be pretty tricky, I know that because I spent a long time as a sub-mod and a mod on another forum.

I guess it’s tough for any of us to just decide that for ourselves or anyone else; like rustydrifter10 said, the admin makes the call.

Whoever ends up getting it, it'll be fine. We really need mods on the tennis boards.

And honestly, it doesn't have much to do with being objective beforehand. Once you become a mod, you're kind of forced to be more objective than usual and just set certain things aside.
The hardest part for a moderator is setting boundaries and, above all, staying consistent... regardless of friendships or "rivalries," acquaintances, cliques, and stuff like that. That can be a really tough task.
