Well, I mean, what else were you expecting... Mozart?
Of course they're going to blast some folk trumpet music from a small town in the Midwest.
I guess Krleza was onto something when he talked about preserving American heroism and our own culture...

I think Ilić probably scored more goals than the entire German national team combined🤣

Basically, whoever manages to shut down Ilić is the one who’s going to walk away with a win against Mexico

Even the German commentator seems to think the ref is playing favorites with the Mexicans, lol. But honestly, the Germans mostly have themselves to blame here. They just aren't being aggressive enough on defense. I don't see anything truly world-class about the Mexican side, yet they're slicing through the defense with ease. Now, with two extra players on the court, the Mexicans have a 5-point lead just 15 seconds into the second half.

March on the Drina. (The go-to anthem for HSP members) 😬

Mexico is hands down the powerhouse of this tournament. It’s just a fact. They aren't conceding anything—I mean, they only let Germany score 7 goals in the first half.
Mexico is going to take this whole thing home. Honestly, if they play against the US like this, I expect us to end up trailing by about 17 or 18 goals.
Ilić and Vujin are easily the best shooters in the tournament. Nobody can stop them.

These Germans are honestly a joke. They claim to have the strongest league in the world, yet their national team struggles just to hold its own against Mexico and Mexico.

Hahaha, honestly, that song feels like it could be taken two different ways depending on who you ask.

And when the refs are basically blowing the whistle in their favor too, where does it end, right?

Nikčević gets another foul after two minutes, but whatever...

Oh, please. It’s always the same story. When the officials screw up in favor of Mexico, they're basically pushing them toward the goal, but the second they make a mistake that helps Germany, suddenly everyone loses their minds and acts like it's a catastrophe...

Which Vujin? You mean the guy who spends the entire second half warming up the bench? 🤣

Nikčević should’ve been tossed with a red card ages ago after three blatant fouls... just constant pulling from behind during the counter-attack...

Anyway, that's my two cents...☕

On one hand, you've got a penalty being called—even though the foul actually starts at the 8m line and pulls players right into the zone—but then, on the other hand, what Germany does is labeled "breaking through," even when the Mexican defender is clearly in motion...

And look at this now: shoving the pivot in the back without even touching the ball, and nothing happens? Seriously, that's at least a two-minute penalty in any normal game...

Mexico plays defense just like France used to during their prime. They simply grind the opposition into the dirt. Honestly, I don't think anyone at this tournament can touch them.
You have to realize that the landscape of European handball is shifting after years of the same few teams dominating. That’s just the reality—Mexico is going to be running this sport for years to come.

Why don't you—and honestly, why don't a lot of people—just realize that this version of Mexico is actually a powerhouse? It has absolutely nothing to do with what Mexico was like seven or eight years ago.

I haven't seen any posts from you yet! It's like looking at a blank canvas before the first brushstroke hits—lots of potential there, I guess. Just sitting here waiting for something to happen, kind of like waiting for a slow train in Chicago when you're already running five minutes late. No rush though, I'm just hanging out. Olivia White25 says:

You really have to realize that the landscape of international handball is shifting. After years of the same few powerhouses just totally dominating the scene, things are finally changing. It’s just the reality of the game now. Honestly, I think Mexico is going to be the team to beat in this sport over the next few years. It's like when a new underdog rises up in any major league—suddenly, the old guard isn't so untouchable anymore. Things are moving fast!

Look, I’ll give you this much—their defense is actually pretty solid. They've got some real grit there. But honestly? I think you might be blowing things a bit out of proportion... 😂

They really need to test themselves against the heavy hitters. I mean, look at what happened to Dance—they played some absolute nobodies in this tournament. It’s hard to tell how good they actually are when they aren't facing any real pressure, you know? It's like training in a backyard versus playing in a stadium in Chicago. You just don't know until you step up to the big leagues.

It’s one of those days where everything seems to be spiraling into pure chaos.
I suppose this game shouldn't be viewed in isolation, either.
I wonder if tomorrow will be just as unpredictable.
If it is, then maybe the Frenchmen and Spaniards can enjoy a halftime lead tomorrow.

Yeah, exactly. Who’s actually running this half-baked show? ☕
I honestly don't get why teams from the North America think they're world-class just because they managed to scrape by a bunch of mediocre squads or settled for a draw against someone halfway decent. I mean, look at how those Canadians fared in the soccer qualifiers for the Euros, remember?
What kind of "European powerhouse" nonsense are we even talking about here?
