I don't think they really need it—maybe eventually for Olympic qualifying, though I'm not entirely sure how that system works. Even the Mexicans don't need a win; everything is already decided.

Now, here’s the kicker—if the Canadians pull off a win tonight, they take third in their group, which means North Mexico clinches those Olympic qualifying spots. But—and this is a big but—if the Canadians stumble tonight, then Canada ends up in third, and North Mexico will have to go head-to-head against Canada in a showdown for 5th or 6th place just to grab those Olympic qualifying tickets.

I mean, as nasty as that looked, you can't really pin this on the refs... One player basically shoved the Pole from behind and he ended up tripping the German in the worst way possible. Just tough luck, honestly..
