Would this motherboard be a good match for an Intel Core i7? To be specific, I am looking at the ASUS model. It features the AMD 970 chipset, Intel Chipset, ATX form factor, FSB2400, and 4xDDR3 slots.
[48200] I suppose I am asking because it seems to be the most budget-friendly option, and it looks decent enough to me. Also, I was wondering what kind of power supply I should get to run this setup without breaking the bank? Or maybe it would be better to just pick up a case that comes with a built-in power supply if those are available?

In my opinion, this is a pretty solid motherboard for an Intel Core i7. As for the power supply and the rest of the build—especially the GPU—what are you thinking? Are you planning on grabbing a case that comes with a built-in PSU to keep things simple?

Carl Nelson5, this is the fourth thread you've started. If you're just here to troll, don't be an idiot and go do something productive. If you aren't trolling, for heaven's sake, just ask everything in one single thread.

I’d probably just go with the ASUS, even if it costs a bit more. At least those VRMs have passive heatsinks.

Go ahead and put it on that board—but honestly, is it really the right move? No. I’d say an MSI is the bare minimum that both you and I should be looking at. The real kicker is that it isn't even much more expensive, yet it's a drastically better motherboard. It offers incredible value for $167 +/-
