Terry Morris41 said:I mean, what kind of loser actually goes out of their way to report posts that are perfectly fine? Seriously...

Look, if you think this kind of communication is totally fine, then there’s really nothing left to discuss. I personally told you a day or two ago to dial it back a notch, and honestly, other users had already voiced similar concerns before I did.

and again, NOBODY gave me a heads-up that I was getting a partial ban, so I'm telling you—show me that message if it even exists, because from my end, I just got hit with a restriction today without any prior warning.

The reality is, I had to publicly warn you several times to chill out because you were crossing the line of decent conversation. The fact that you didn't get a formal warning before the partial ban is just the inevitable result of all those warnings being ignored... which, clearly, weren't working.

you're just dodging the facts and making stuff up now,

Here are the facts: every single one of your strikes is tied to poor communication in the Movie section—which, frankly, is unnecessary since you're actually a decent contributor—and the facts are that there are at least three public warnings on Reddit regarding how you address other users (can't speak for other mods, though)... plus, other users have also openly expressed they aren't happy with how you act. It's all right there in the open, just like the deleted posts. No need to invent a different story.

Rebecca Harris said:I don't care who got banned or why, but I do care about what you just said. So, does that mean I can tell someone: Your mom's a slut. and not get flagged, simply because I highly doubt some random user's mother has an account on Reddit? 😳

Is that how it works?

Not quite.

You'll get flagged because you're directing it at a specific person.

Rebecca Harris said:I’m not playing dumb here, I just think it would be pretty helpful if you actually took the time to read everything being discussed and looked at the explanation your buddy provided. Like, saying someone's ex is a slut is something only that specific person should be doing—it's not the job of a moderator, or you, or me. Blood Dim already weighed in and pointed out that it’s allowed since this is just a casual chat thread and the girl in question isn't even a member of Reddit (which, honestly, he couldn't possibly know anyway).

And as for what you said about me acting stupid, maybe save those little comments for your family and leave me out of it.

Adios!

I think you totally misread me. It was just one of those chat threads where the person themselves jumped in and agreed, like saying "yeah, she is," so people were just messing around in chat mode.
If I'm hanging out in a chat thread talking about my ex and someone pipes up saying she's a slut, and I'd already referred to her that way, I definitely wouldn't expect some random person to get banned for it.

I mean, telling someone "your mom is a slut" is a completely different ballgame. Why? Well, you can figure that out yourself.

Just take a good look at the context of the post before you go hunting for an explanation.
Everything else you're pushing is just stuff Michelle Evans told you.

Did I cool off? Yeah, I did. Check the chat thread after that ☕
And sorry, I didn't realize Redditors were so vital to warnings, or that you guys had these "powerful moderator decrees," especially when it comes to those users who gang up on me just because I don't like the movies they love (like Signal or Into the Wild)... You didn't protect me or warn them then, because apparently, I'm the only one at fault for defending myself. I’m not just gonna sit there and take it while people provoke and trash me. Just another classic case of double standards

Sorry, but since I take things literally, and since I didn't know partial bans were even a thing, you should've actually explained that and named it. Your "warnings" were way too chill to be taken seriously; I thought we were talking infractions or full bans... And honestly, I didn't even deserve those warnings, since most of this went down in a "casual" chat thread where you guys clearly just interpret things however the wind blows (remember that whole mess with drolja?). You're showing your true colors here
I'm not even gonna go there regarding the warnings from a few years back, because that's ancient history. Besides, back then northerncrane4 basically just hammered me with unfair infractions and kept messing with me
We're talking about right now, not some crap from years ago, so feel free to give me one single example where you gave me a serious warning or threatened to kick me out. I'm looking, I really am, but you don't have any proof... You guys should probably just admit you messed up, and admit you don't like me, because everyone on this site can see how you're acting and how much you're embarrassing yourselves

If I were a mod and if I actually had this much trouble with Rachel Ortiz33—especially since you said she's "not a bad user"—I would've just DM'd her and threatened a ban. It's hard to take your non-existent "warnings" seriously when they happen in a chat room where I'm constantly being misinterpreted, probably on purpose. Every time I try to defend myself, my posts get deleted and nobody listens—just a cold shoulder

Also, if I'm such a troll and an offender, and such a threat to this community, why only ban me from the Movie subforum? If I'm that bad, you should just ban me from the whole site, because the number one enemy on this board, Rachel Ortiz33, goes through threads and attacks people for no reason
Every time I "clapped back" at someone (which you guys call an insult), it was only because I was being attacked first, usually just because I didn't agree with the majority on a certain movie.

I don't get how anyone can be a moderator if they can't actually read people, or if they're just going to pull everything out of context and hand out infractions like a robot

Wait, so she gets a strike just for addressing someone directly? What? Or does she get a strike because she proved a point against the mods and the admin team? Heaven forbid anyone on this site actually questions your decisions or how you run things

Long story short, what happened is in the past. My old (unfair) bans basically vanished from my user profile, so since then I haven't had any... or maybe I have one? Not really sure, but it was pretty questionable anyway.

I’m asking again because I’ve been digging through everything for like a month now. Just show me actual proof of a warning message, like: "Dear user Rachel Ortiz33, if you don't chill out, we're kicking you off Reddit."

Everything else is just noise to me—like random little jabs or being told to "calm down."

The post is from February of this year, yet the user claims "in the last month"—we're heading toward October now. Someone's math isn't adding up. 🤣

So what? He said "in the last month" and now that's some universal rule? Rachel Ortiz33 has been warned multiple times about being abusive toward other users, and absolutely nothing happens. Back on September 16th, I posted in the chat thread that personal bickering should be handled via PMs. Then briskhound2 told him to chill out. Still nothing. Once again, everyone else is treated like they're beneath notice.

Maybe it was a mistake not to issue a partial ban right after that last warning, but no—everyone stays quiet, hoping things will just settle down. Fine, let him have this one, then this one, then another... how long does this go on?

As stated, in six months he can request to have his partial ban lifted, which will be considered. Adios from me.

I don't even remember getting a warning from you. Honestly, I just don't see you as a real player here and have zero respect left after all the stuff you pulled on me.

That’s exactly why they stripped you of your mod powers in the first place. It just proves my point—the whole thing was rigged from the start. Honestly, you know how it is, so I don't even see you as an actual moderator. Your warnings? Yeah, I just breeze right past them.

Honestly, it’s such a bummer I don't have that DM where you were pulling that whole "mod power trip" routine, threatening to kick me off. Since that message, I don't even take you seriously anymore—whatever you write just doesn't carry any weight with me now.

If briskhound2 had actually done something reasonable and cool, then maybe it would've been worth it.

I still think—and honestly, everyone on Reddit agrees—that for a mess like this, you deserve a warning or to lose your mod status. Nobody wants a moderator acting like that, and nobody respects it either.

northerncrane4, if you're really keeping all those DMs, be a man and show everyone those frustrated threats you sent me. It felt totally unmoderated and just straight-up petty... honestly, if people saw them, they'd realize every single threat felt like a personal vendetta. Man, my inbox is capped at 200 messages so I can't even pull them up, but I'm telling you...
Don't go blowing up my inbox when I sent that over at 3 PM.

Oh man, I am totally feeling that! Just one little word and you can practically hear the nervous energy through the screen. Don't worry, we've all been there—that sudden, heart-skipping moment where everything just feels a bit much. What's got you feeling this way? I'm all ears if you want to vent! kaže:
I honestly don't even know where to start with this one, but I feel like we need to have a real conversation about it. It’s one of those topics that just keeps coming up, isn't it? Every time I think we've moved past the initial shock of how things are shifting, something else pops up to remind us that the landscape is changing faster than any of us expected. It’s a bit overwhelming if you let it sink in too deeply, but I find there's a certain beauty in the chaos if you look at it from the right angle. We're all just trying to navigate this together, figuring out which parts of the old way are worth keeping and which parts we should probably leave in the rearview mirror. I'm curious to see where everyone else stands on this, because it feels like we're all standing on the edge of something pretty massive.
I don't recall getting any kind of warning from you, mostly because I don't really see you as an authority here and, honestly, I don't have any respect for you.

Just because you don't see eye to eye with him doesn't mean he isn't a moderator. His warnings carry just as much weight as Deckard's, regardless of what your personal opinion of him might be.

Oh man, that sounds like a bit of a situation! What happened? Don't leave me hanging—give me the full scoop! kaže:
That’s exactly why they stripped you of your banning privileges in the first place—it all comes back to those same issues.

He hasn't actually lost any of his banning privileges. He’s still got full authority to ban whoever he feels needs to be kicked off, though he can always choose to hand that responsibility over to one of his colleagues if he wants to.

The moderator actually went ahead and posted proof that you did receive a warning regarding that specific sub-forum, even if it wasn't strictly necessary to bring up. Looking at the timeline, it’s pretty clear this isn't just some one-off bad day; this kind of inappropriate behavior has been an ongoing pattern for a while now. All the moderators over at the Movie subreddit were completely in agreement about this particular section, and the supermod stepped in to back them up, too. Honestly, nothing has been presented here that would change my mind or convince me otherwise.
