-That's Matthew C. at 1:16, Stanley I. at 1:18, and looks like Boone K. at 1:17.

He was likely talking about Major League Baseball—neither then nor now. I recall back in the '93-'94 era (or something close to it), they were hyping up the New York Yankees' home games, acting like a win would somehow secure an undefeated season. In reality, the math had already been done; they were too far ahead in the standings for any single result to actually change the outcome.

Just to be clear...
"Winning the championship undefeated—something nobody else in this entire country has ever pulled off."

I’m talking about the leagues the Los Angeles Dodgers play in, like the old Major League Baseball—only they managed it then, and even now in Major League Soccer, nobody has touched it...

Thanks for the insight, Professor. 😁

What happened to those letters they were trying to push during the second half against Boeing, based on some piece in Rolling Stone? I only caught the part at the end where it says "God, I love the Kansas City Chiefs," so if anyone could share the full text...

Man, I swear, there’s absolutely nothing you can’t find on this forum eventually.

Does anyone remember those lyrics they were trying to push during the second half against BellSouth? It was some song from Rolling Stone—I only caught that one line at the end where it goes "man, I just love my Kansas City Chiefs"—so if anyone could drop the full lyrics...

By the way, that song had a specific beat to it.

Let’s go, let’s go! Everybody get on your feet! My heart is beating out of my chest right now because this team fights like hell and never backs down.
Come on, come on, everyone stand up! I want the entire North Stand to lose their minds, and I want the whole damn country to know how much I love the Kansas City Chiefs. Even today, I still look back and think about those days when we were the first ones to really set the standard...

Don't go getting all soft on me, Ric 😁

I’m giving away an annual pass for the East Coast.

I’d just like someone to reach out who genuinely can’t afford a ticket right now. You can also let me know if you know someone else in that situation who would love the chance to go watch the Kansas City Chiefs play.

ps. No strings attached whatsoever!

I saw someone post this on a Facebook page, and it seems legit enough... my songwriting has been top-tier lately since I've been leaning into it, so I really ought to keep pushing this angle.

Come on, everyone, let’s head down to the Rose Bowl; my heart belongs to these crazies, and we fight for them without ever backing down. Let’s get on our feet, people—let the entire North Side go wild, so the whole country knows how much I love the Kansas City Chiefs! Nanana, today I'm just thinking about how we were the first to do it all...

This is just a copy-paste job...

If you slow this track down to this level, it’s an absolute banger. It’s basically what they did with that classic "East Coast, West Coast, and North" anthem...

Why even bother slowing down, man? It’s honestly pointless—after ten years, people still haven't figured out that you don't clap at the Rose Bowl....
They really tried, though. They’d blast all these songs over the PA system, but it didn't do jack shit.

And honestly, that whole vibe and the way they cheer for the Kansas City Chiefs—where the singing always sounds absolutely terrible—is just a mess.
