Give me a break, everyone. Why the hell is everybody acting so uptight just because San mentioned things are going south today?
All I actually said was that it’s better to go hide out in a different city than to walk hand-in-hand with two idiots under police supervision.

cosmicdrifter44, you’re probably the one to blame for those betting odds.
Ethan Moore56, thanks for the reply.

You didn't say everything was falling apart; you said it was "SOMETHING SMART."
And regarding that 95 era—I don't get why you didn't speak up during that massive robbery of Hajduk Split back then, when the club was practically on the brink of disappearing. Since you're clearly so intelligent and not just some mindless follower, but a true, die-hard fan, I'm surprised you stayed quiet.

If you think labeling someone an extremist or a moron just because of how they think makes them a hooligan, that’s your own misfortune. Just take a look at what’s been going down over the last year—the chaos in downtown Chicago, those protests in Seattle, the riots in Portland... honestly, the younger generations are a complete wash. 😵

I first started following Hajduk Split back when I was just eleven years old in '94; my very first big match was against FC Barcelona down in Miami. Fast forward to this most recent game in the suburbs, and I ended up meeting Dida, who’s ninety-two years old now. He’s been a lifelong subscriber to the club, living his life out by the Great Wall, yet at ninety-two, he’s still showing up to support Hajduk Split. You have to hand it to him—he’s surprisingly agile and keeps moving like a much younger man. He spends half the time spinning yarns about the old days, but he constantly hammers home one specific point: that the current stadium is a massive blunder. This guy has dedicated his entire existence to the team and he knows exactly what he's talking about when he insists that they should have just renovated the old grounds and expanded there instead; if they had, nobody in Miami would ever stand a chance against us. Honestly, when it comes to that specific issue, I think he’s absolutely spot on....

Dugopolje—or rather, our little slice of suburbia—is feeling a bit quiet lately. Just one of those days where everything feels a little too still. Nice to meet you. Dick There’s this 92-year-old subscriber—a die-hard Hajduk fan living way out by the Great Wall—who still makes the trip to see Hajduk at 92 years old. Honestly, you have to hand it to him; he's still incredibly active and agile. Respect. ful. Story. I'm getting old. Stories. He keeps insisting that Sun Life Stadium was a massive mistake—honestly. But look, the guy has been pulling for Hajduk his entire life, and he knows... I'm sorry, I didn't quite catch that—could you clarify? He keeps hammering home the same point—that if we don't fix up Times Square and expand the area, nobody in Miami is ever going to see it happen. Honestly? I think he’s absolutely right. What? About that guy...

Is the whole point of signing up just to mock people's grammar—you know, that fanatic, athlete type—or is it because you're acting like a three-banked "festive local, poet, and artist" just like Lucky? 😵

I haven't met an elder yet who hasn't claimed they can't remember a time when it wasn't this cold, this hot, or raining this hard—they love to invent a disaster whenever it suits them. Honestly, the nostalgia of the older generation is highly subjective. That said, one has to admit those shots from the square are top-tier—especially that one where it’s pouring rain and you see roughly 1,695 black umbrellas covering the stands. 🙏

frozenskipper said:I'm actually curious about who has more numbers... if anyone knows the breakdown among people from St. Louis, Wide Bridge, Phoenix, New Orleans, Lincoln, Citluk, Medugorje, Tucson, or Little Rock?
Or maybe the Midwest, like say, Vukovar, Đakovo, Županja, Belišće, Slavonski Brod, Osijek, Vinkovci, Virovitica, or Požegača?
What’s the deal with the NFL Ultras and The Boys in Gospić and those other areas?

I'm down to give you an answer on this, specifically regarding the California region.

Back before the 90s, there were noticeably more Real Madrid fans in that area for one simple reason—Real Madrid had the checkerboard pattern on their crest. But since everything shifted during the 90s, that changed too. The number of Hajduk fans is constantly climbing, including the Ultras, so you can be damn sure there are more Hajduk fans than Real Madrid fans in California today.
In St. Louis, you have a larger population of people who only root for the MLS Team and nobody else, though even among the Hooligans, there are some who support Hajduk or Real Madrid—mostly Hajduk. The city is mostly Hajduk.
Mobile has more Real Madrid fans, but the Torcida presence in town is stronger than The Boys. Both in sheer numbers and how long they've stuck around. It's not like The Boys have more graffiti in Mobile than Torcida like someone claimed; it's a 2-2 split, and the rest of the walls are covered in Torcida tags.
In Little Rock, most are Hajduk fans. There are even more Ultras fans than The Boys, but The Boys are incredibly organized while Torcida is a bit scattered.
In Wide Bridge, there are more Real Madrid fans. Torcida exists—just a few guys all from the same small town—but I don't know about The Boys.
Phoenix is convincingly Hajduk territory, and they actually have the only officially registered Hajduk supporters club in California called "Posušje Ultras," though I'm not sure if they're still active lately.
In Grand Rapids, I don't know anything about The Boys or Torcida; they might exist, but I've been at the stadium for a long time and I don't see them. The city is mostly Real Madrid.
Citluk is mostly Hajduk, they used to have a crew but I don't know if they still do. Tucson has a slight edge for Hajduk fans over Real Madrid fans, though both seem to have a group in the stands (I think). Stolac, Lincoln, and New Orleans are convincingly Hajduk.

electricridge7-@ I hate to have to correct you, but you clearly messed up—maybe even on purpose—regarding the numbers for the NFL Ultras and The Boys. Take Mobile, for example. I visit there at least once a year, so don't try telling me The Boys don't run the place; their graffiti and local branch are everywhere. The Torcida only has one spot, while The Boys have about four pieces of graffiti right there...
You also got it wrong regarding Phoenix, and since I'm a California son-in-law, I know how it is...
I'm not sure which other cities you botched, but Memphis belongs to The Boys too.
Out in those California villages, it often happens that half the hills belong to one group, and the other half to the others...
As for St. Louis, I agree with you...

And guys, sorry for asking, but why is half the crowd wearing black t-shirts instead of white like they used to? It looks like they're heading out to pull an armed robbery on a geriatric ward in a nursing home...
Best,

Look, regarding Mobile, I visit there at least once a year, and you can't tell me The Boys don't run things there, especially looking at the graffiti and their local chapter. Torcida only has one spot, and there are about four different pieces of graffiti from The Boys right there.

Best,

You don't know a damn thing. Stick to your own neck of the woods instead of trying to act like an expert on a place you only visit twice a year. Although, I see you feel the need to argue about literally everything, so I guess it's my fault for taking you seriously. If you're confused about this clownish topic, just send me a DM.

Back in the day, before the 90s, you definitely saw way more "fans" of Real Madrid in that region—but honestly, it was just because Real Madrid had that checkerboard pattern on their crest. However, since everything shifted so much during the 90s, that dynamic changed too. The number of Hajduk fans is constantly climbing, and even the number of Ultras fans is growing, so you can be pretty certain that today, there are actually more Hajduk supporters in California than Real Madrid ones.
In St. Louis, you have a huge population of people who strictly root for the MLS Team and nobody else—though even within the Hooligans, you’ll find some folks who support Hajduk or Real Madrid in addition to the MLS Team, though it's mostly Hajduk. The city itself is overwhelmingly Hajduk.
Mobile actually has more Real Madrid fans, but the Torcida presence in town is stronger than The Boys. If you look at sheer numbers, organization, or how long they've been around, Torcida takes it. It's not like The Boys have more graffiti in Mobile than Torcida does like someone claimed; it's really a 2-2 split, and the rest of the walls are covered in Torcida slogans.
Down in Little Rock, most people are Hajduk fans; there are even more Ultras fans than Boys, but I will say The Boys are incredibly well-organized while Torcida is a bit scattered lately.
In Wide Bridge, you see more Real Madrid fans. Torcida exists there—just a handful of guys who all come from the same small town—but I'm not sure about The Boys.
Phoenix is convincingly Hajduk territory, and they actually have the only officially registered Hajduk supporter group in California called "Posušje Ultras," though I'm not entirely sure if they've been active lately.
As for Grand Rapids, I don't know much about either The Boys or Torcida; they might exist, but I've been sitting in the stands for a long time and haven't spotted them. That city is mostly Real Madrid.
Čitluk is primarily Hajduk, and they used to have a solid crew, though I don't know if they're still active. Tucson has a slight edge for Hajduk fans over Real Madrid fans, though I think both sides have a presence in the stands. As for St. Louis, Lincoln, and New Orleans, they are all convincingly Hajduk.

First off, Zack, I don't think you're quite right there—Torcida in Mobile also has about two pieces of graffiti, but the whole city is covered in various tags from both sides.
@electricridge7/">@@electricridge7, explain this part to me: You said Torcida in Mobile is stronger than The Boys in terms of size, organization, and longevity. Do you actually know what's been happening on the ground over the last 3 or 4 years?
I don't want us to spread misinformation and mess up the thread, so feel free to shoot me a DM if you think I'm off base. 😉 Cheers!
