4-pin Molex to 8-pin adapter?

Greetings! A few weeks back, I decided to embark on the journey of building my own computer from individual components, but unfortunately, I hit a bit of a snag when it came time to actually power it up. It turns out—according to some advice I received—that I am missing a specific Molex 4-pin to 8-pin adapter for the CPU power connection. Now, I must admit, my technical expertise in this area is somewhat limited, as a close friend of mine was kind enough to assist me with the initial assembly process, and I find myself a bit lost regarding the specifics of these cables. I have spent quite a bit of time searching through the local inventory at places like Best Buy, Micro Center, and even some smaller specialized shops nearby, but to no avail 😢

Would any of you perhaps know where I might be able to track one of these down?

Just give me a solid build list—especially the PSU, motherboard, and CPU—then we can figure out if you actually need that beast

Yeah, that CPU pulls quite a bit of power, so grabbing that adapter is probably a smart move.
