Ricciardo currently holds the record for being involved in the most chaotic incidents, basically leading his own little squad of penalized drivers.
As far as I'm concerned, he isn't personally at fault for any of it.
Since I view him as a genuine competitor, I don't really feel bad about the drama surrounding him.
Another reason there’s no point in feeling sorry for him is that he was essentially taken out by his own people—the fifth-place guys—whether they meant to or not.

Right, because after he gets caught up in a first-lap incident through no fault of his own—potentially damaging the car or the suspension, though neither of us actually knows for sure—everyone just jumps on him. No one cares about the fact that he had to lift off to avoid putting his teammate in danger, even after pulling an incredible start. Seriously, can we get a little objectivity around here?

The bolid was completely uncontrollable after hitting Kvjat; the front left wheel was basically detached from the steering system.

They patched the bolid together fast, though according to Alonso and Domenicalli, the handling was still shot because of the impact.

The crew didn't have the window to replace the entire steering rack—they just swapped the linkage connecting the rack to the front left hub.

And with a car in that state, the Granda maestro pulls off a Finnish heist in just over a second. Specifically—1.2 seconds. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
