Let's wrap this mess up. Since we haven't had quite the turnout we were hoping for, we're going to split things into two groups. The top three from each group will move on to the knockout stage. The winner of each group gets a bye straight into the semifinals... while the second and third-place finishers from both groups will have to battle it out in an opening elimination round just to earn their spot in the semis.
The winner of Group A will face whoever wins the 3A-2B duel in the semifinals.
The winner of Group B will take on the winner of the 3B-2A duel in the semifinals.

I'll get those fancy charts and everything else sorted once I'm back in New York City and can actually get some decent internet access...

OFF TO A GREAT START, from what I can see. All that effort actually paid off.

As for the groups—it looks like things are going to be intense right up until the final round (if I'm not mistaken, there are still 6 left)—but I’m going to give it everything I've got to make it through this first stage.

It’s going to be especially brutal in Group A (mine), where I’ll be battling swifttiger75, Jessica Ramos12, William Bennett53, briskhound76, and Mladen (but honestly—Mladen doesn't stand a chance here).

This year's 2014 tournament might actually prove more difficult for making it out of the pro group than the last one did. We have fewer participants overall, yet most of the heavy hitters managed to stick around. Of course, you can't exactly overlook the newcomers either—some of them look capable of clinching player of the week on their very first prediction. Regardless, I'm looking forward to it. 🙏
