Filth (2013)

So, I finally sat down and watched the movie, and I have to say, my feelings are a bit mixed, though if I’m being honest, I actually quite enjoyed it! There was definitely a moment where things just spiraled into this absolute extreme—I mean, who could have seen that coming? I certainly didn't, and I must admit, that unexpected turn was one of my favorite parts! The lead actor was absolutely phenomenal; he really leaned into the role, wasn't he? That dark, moody atmosphere really hits you right in the gut, yet the humor felt perfectly placed within all that tension. All in all, it was a really solid film 🙂

Such a fun ride! McAvoy basically carries the whole thing on his back, keeping things moving with this super fast, high-energy plot... lots of shadows, some steamy moments, and plenty of dark humor too. It might feel a little over-the-top at times, but honestly? A really solid flick overall.

Let's shake things up around here for a moment.

Man, I watched this flick back in high school—mostly just absorbed all the clichés and spent the rest of the semester acting like the main guy. Honestly, Miami (2016) where McAvoy had like twenty-three different personalities... well, here he’s only got one, but it’s easily a hundred times more interesting than anything you'd find in Miami.

A truly surreal piece of cinema; I've already sat through it twice. 👍
