Just a quick question—are the entries (in that PDF on religion) claiming that faith and religious belief are merely God delusions (and things along those lines) actually acceptable or not?

If they are, then I have one piece of sincere advice: just close that PDF immediately.

A pretty heated debate

It really all depends on the context. Religions discussed here aren't sacred cows—they don't get some special kind of immunity—but I do think the discussion needs to stay grounded in actual arguments rather than just throwing around tired cliches.

It is, though perhaps Steven Clark isn't referring to that, but rather this:

- if this is considered the "general message" or the "standard tone" of the subforum, is such behavior actually okay?

- if the moderator's stance is distinctly negative toward all established religions in America (meaning we can assume there is no neutral or open perspective from the start)—is that still acceptable?

- and thirdly; how can someone who is overtly anti-theist or active in anti-religion organizations in the US be in charge of a subforum dedicated to theistic questions?

These have always been the same eternal, unanswered questions that Steven Clark might be circling back to. Last year, there was a complaint that this mod indirectly insulted or provoked believers regarding the "Merry Christmas" topic on the Religion subforum, 🙂when no one else was even doing or saying anything similar except for the person for whom the thread actually had a purpose.

I suppose you still find this kind of thing OK—since you were a moderator yourself, you probably know how it works and where the lines are drawn. But imagine if, about ten years ago at the very beginning of this site, they had appointed a moderator to this subforum who held an openly negative or dismissive attitude toward the very subject matter the forum exists to discuss 😁. Wouldn't that seem completely illogical to everyone? Especially since things were different over a decade ago; it's not the same now, nor are the active users the same (mostly, anyway). Even the administration isn't what it used to be. We should be moving forward, not backward into reverse...

And perhaps even more pathetic is that people like that lie to the owner (who was present back then and handled it) and lie to the local government agency admins by claiming, "We asked the believers if they wanted to moderate this religious subforum, but nobody 'accepted the offer' or wanted to 'take on the job'"—never ever lol. Not a single soul [it's been exactly ten years lol]. It seems like nothing more than a blatant lie and a false excuse.

Gregory Turner71 said:Religion isn't some sacred cow here, nor does it get any special protection,

When you say "special protection," do you mean being treated like a "sacred cow" in some niche sub-forum? Or do you mean providing basic respect through tolerance and mutual consideration—the kind of openness needed for people to coexist peacefully on a religious sub-forum?🤣 In an ideal world, which of those two would anyone actually want?

... yet you keep chanting these same old, meaningless slogans for another ten or fifty years. Who cares.

Do you actually possess these qualities—openness, respect, or basic tolerance—toward those different from yourself, specifically religious individuals? Please, just answer that. Even if it's only to yourself rather than publicly. If you don't, then are you even fit to moderate anything in a mainstream public medium, especially a platform as sensitive as this one? That seems to be the crux of everything. It feels like everything always circles back to these same recurring themes...

Susan Price30 said:If that’s the moderator's call, then I guess we just have to live with it! I’ve always felt pretty strongly that most of the major, established religions here in America are fundamentally broken. Honestly, I can't help but feel a deep sense of skepticism toward them. So, if we're assuming that there’s no such thing as a neutral or open-minded stance from the get-go—meaning everything is already biased—then does that actually make it acceptable? Is it okay to just roll with it?

I wouldn't say that all the moderators are being overtly negative; it’s really not quite like that.

Susan Price30 said:And thirdly—how on earth does someone who’s openly anti-theist, or even actively involved in anti-religion organizations here in the States, end up moderating a subforum that's clearly dedicated to theistic questions? It just doesn't add up!

Look, you don't need to be religious just to edit a PDF about religion, right? And honestly, whatever anyone does in their private lives outside of this forum is none of my business—we aren't here to put people on trial for how they live their lives when they log off.

Susan Price30 said:And honestly, it’s probably even more pathetic when you realize that people like that end up... Lies. Just straight up lies. ....

Gregory Turner71 said:It really all depends on the context.

But who actually decides what the context is? Who gets to dictate which perspectives are acceptable and which ones aren't?

Gregory Turner71 said:Religion on this forum isn't some sacred cow, and honestly, we shouldn't treat it like one either. They aren't exactly enjoying any special protections. However, we really need to ensure this discussion stays at an argumentative level; let's not allow it to devolve into nothing more than a series of mindless slogans.

Let me be very clear on this point. My friend, I am certainly not suggesting that religions should be treated as sacred cows here, nor do I believe they deserve any special protection from scrutiny. I honestly don't know how many times I need to reiterate that. However, I must ask: does labeling a faith or a religion as "The God Delusion" actually constitute an "argued debate," or is it simply throwing around empty catchphrases?

Furthermore, I have to ask: does the worldview you defend enjoy some sort of "special protection"? If it doesn't, then why on earth did Arthur Flores2 have to wait two and a half months just to get a response to his request to return to the Religion PDF? The man is openly and publicly criticizing the very ideology you represent. Perhaps he is "throwing around phrases," but I fail to see how using certain rhetoric against religion or faith is a punishable offense—unless, of course, that same behavior is permitted when directed at any other worldview. We are talking about sacred cows here, but apparently, everything is perfectly fine right up until someone dares to touch the icons, the messiahs, or the holy cows of atheism. 😁 Why was Parsifal issued a permanent ban on this Religion platform, only to have it later downgraded to a partial one? Furthermore, why was Tony given a partial ban on that very same site? It feels fundamentally unjust. You simply cannot drive people away from the forum just because their writings challenge your specific worldview; you don't have the right to do that.

rustydrifter10 said:One doesn't necessarily have to be religious to edit a PDF about religion, after all. Furthermore, whatever anyone chooses to do in their private lives outside of this forum is entirely none of our business and certainly shouldn't be a topic of debate here.

Just because someone isn't an expert in tennis doesn't mean they aren't capable of editing a PDF about tennis, right? 🙂

It isn't actually about the content itself; it’s about the methodology behind how this entire PDF is being constructed. Honestly, please explain to me how someone ends up with a partial ban just because their posts "get under the skin" of the moderators, yet when someone posts something that aligns perfectly with the moderators' own worldview, suddenly everything is fine? It seems like "context" only matters when it’s inconvenient for them.

I would like to offer my perspective on this matter. I truly believe it is time for some sweeping, radical changes within the Religion sub. We need something substantial. One such change, for instance, would be to close the Religion section entirely. It seems to me that the "religious crowd" should simply migrate over to Alternative; after all, they are constantly being mocked there anyway, with their beliefs frequently compared to old wives' tales, Santa Claus, or pink unicorns. The Alternative community would be an ideal home for them. Alternatively, they could move over to Psychology, given that faith and religion are essentially just a grand delusion.

If this strikes you as something massive or overly radical, let me just add one thing—everything else regarding religion is far more radical than this. In my view, that PDF wouldn't even survive any serious scrutiny, not necessarily from the average users who rarely ask anything anyway, but from the system itself, which tends to stifle progress. I have written on dozens of forums, moderated several, and even built some of them myself; I have quite a bit of experience under my belt. Consequently, I truly believe that simply closing that PDF would be the most painless solution for everyone involved. 🙂

That’s a bad comparison. Just because someone isn't religious doesn't mean they don't know their stuff about religion. It's like saying you can't moderate a tennis match just because you aren't an athlete. Doesn't work that way!
Steven Clark2 said:Totally agree. Honestly, the religious crowd should just move over to the Alternative scene. They’re constantly getting roasted anyway—people are always comparing their beliefs to old wives' tales, Santa Claus, or some pink little pony nonsense. Just let them go!

Look, it’s really not that big of a deal. Opinions and beliefs aren't protected speech, period. If you're out here believing in stuff without any actual proof, then yeah, you're fair game for some jokes. Honestly, it's fine! Otherwise, we’d have to treat every little idea like it's some sacred cow, and nobody wants that, right? I mean, if you can't poke fun at something or compare it to something ridiculous, you shouldn't be posting on a site like Reddit. You should probably just find a private room where everyone can sit around, clap for you, and pat each other on the back instead.
Steven Clark2 said:They’d fit right in at an alternative lifestyle retreat. Or honestly? They should just move over to the Psychology department. At the end of the day, faith and religion are just one big delusion anyway!

People usually think of "delusion" as just some medical symptom for mental illness, right? But honestly, it’s also that thing where you’re absolutely, 100% convinced of something even when all the facts say otherwise—or when there isn't even any evidence to begin with!
Take someone who’s absolutely convinced they’ve cracked the code on roulette, or someone who swears they dreamed up the winning Powerball numbers for next week—that’s just a certain kind of delusion. It’s not quite "see a psychiatrist" territory, though. Just a little bit off!
Then there's that book, "The God Delusion." What then? Should we force a title change on that one too, or just ban any discussion about it entirely?

If someone hits you with that "you're delusional" line and tells you to go see a shrink because you're clearly unhinged? Man, talk about being out of line! Total lack of class.
If someone starts talking about how religion is just some collective mass delusion, I don't see why anyone should get offended. Seriously. It’s not an insult; it’s just a claim that needs actual arguments and counter-arguments to back it up. Simple as that!
Look, let's be real—strong religious beliefs share basically all the same traits that define a delusion. It’s right there in the textbook definition! You've got the unprovability, that absolute, unshakable certainty, and just straight-up ignoring any counterarguments. It's wild, honestly.
Disclaimer—does being religious mean people are mentally ill? No way.

There isn't much point in beating a dead horse here. We've circled the drain discussing the religion subreddits way too many times without ever seeing any actual progress, even when people bring some really solid ideas to the table. It’s high time we just accept that this specific subreddit was essentially designed to be an antireligion space, even if they haven't officially rebranded it that way. ☕

And why did Tony end up with a partial ban on that same Religion section?

Look, we aren't going to sit here and debate someone else's disciplinary actions; those decisions were handled when they needed to be, right where they belonged.

Steven Clark2 said:You can't just kick people off the forum simply because they write things that clash with your own worldview—you don't have the right to do that.

The Religion subforum is home to users from all walks of life with various worldviews and beliefs, so this claim that people are only being pushed out if they disagree with the moderators just isn't true.

Steven Clark2 said:It's not like you have to be an expert in tennis to moderate the tennis subforum, right? 🙂

Actually, you don't even need to be a tennis player or an athlete in general.

Steven Clark2 said:That’s not really my point, though; it's about how that subforum is actually managed and developed. I mean, go ahead and explain to me how someone ends up with a partial ban just because their posts "get under the skin" of the moderators, while posts that align perfectly with the moderators' own views somehow never "depend on context"?

Nobody gets banned just because they're annoying someone; users get banned because they repeatedly break the rules and completely ignore moderator warnings and guidelines.

Steven Clark2 said:I'll tell you what I really think about this. Personally, I feel like it’s high time we saw some massive changes within the realm of religion. We need something big, something truly radical. One way to go about that, if you ask me, would be to just shut down religion entirely.

But let's be real—that's never going to happen. Religion is basically split into two distinct sides, where the theological discussions tend to foster a slightly different tone than the stuff you find at its core.

I'm not sure how this applies to me, but I feel like I should point out that in my case, nothing was ever properly addressed. Basically, you guys just kicked me out of the religion without giving me any kind of explanation , mostly because Nicole James couldn't be bothered to explain why she was handing out Parsifal. She didn't even try, really. 😂It feels more like Nicole James was just getting personal revenge because my earlier complaints actually forced some changes within the religion...

Isn't that how it works?...🤷

Tony So, they handed out a partial ban over that same religious topic? Honestly, it feels incredibly unjust. You simply shouldn't be allowed to drive people away from an online community just because their perspectives clash with your own worldview. It’s fundamentally wrong to censor users for expressing views that differ from yours; you don't have that kind of authority.

We aren't talking about some kind of persecution against believers here. This is simply about removing individuals who use their platforms to spread nothing but hate and intolerance through their writing and viewpoints. You mentioned the trio of Arthur Flores2, Parsifal, and Tony, but honestly, you could pick almost anyone else from the banned list; if you took just a few minutes to search through their post history, you would quickly realize exactly what is going on.
Here are a few examples of posts written by Arthur Flores2 (the more unpleasant ones have been deleted).
Arthur Flores2 said:The various nations that God commanded to be destroyed within the pages of the Bible are truly grotesque, and in my view, they deserve nothing less than death.

If I had been born back in those days, I would have followed God’s commandments without a single moment of hesitation. I would have personally dealt with every last one of those idolaters worshipping the golden calf—taking them out one by one—and then I wouldn't have stopped until everyone else was gone too. They would have scattered before my path like ants running for cover.

We are currently living through an era defined by God's mercy, yet we must remember that we previously lived through an era of God's justice—and that period was just as profoundly sacred as the one we inhabit today.

Long live PBS and those upcoming footage clips depicting the absolute catastrophe involving the Egyptian firstborns!

I honestly have zero patience for those self-proclaimed wizards and charlatans...

Arthur Flores2 said:Based on my own personal walk through life, I’ve come to realize that atheists tend to be nothing more than the most mediocre, unremarkable crowd you could ever encounter.

It seems to me that almost every spineless, slimy, and self-important freak I have encountered throughout my life shares one singular, unmistakable characteristic...

They claim to have no belief in God...

There are certainly exceptions to the rule, I suppose. However, most of those outliers aren't actually atheists, even if they insist on calling themselves that. We see the exact same pattern playing out here on this subreddit as well.

I wouldn't bother engaging with Parsifal. He has demonstrated time and time again through his countless posts that he is fundamentally incapable of meaningful dialogue; he simply refuses to listen to anyone else, choosing instead to relentlessly hammer away at his own broken arguments without showing even the slightest hint of a desire to evolve or change his mind.
There was this one instance where he actually lost a bet, the kind where he was obligated to wire money over to some atheist organization—I suspect it might have even been part of Nicole James’s group. 😍He flatly refused, and once he did, we were more than justified in calling him a liar. Honestly, it didn't seem to bother him one bit.

I remember a discussion we had once where Tony was attempting to justify that specific passage from the Old Testament, the one where Yahweh sends bears to maul forty-two children simply because they were mocking a local prophet for being bald.
It’s the people who try to justify such behavior that truly frighten me.
Unfortunately, you were even among those ranks.

Ultimately, you actually told him himself that he was beneath the level of the Unknown—which, ironically, would be considered a compliment coming from Tony. You see, the Unknown only ever responds to religious contradictions or the moral depravity stemming from religious teachings by quoting their own holy books back to them.

This is what you wrote to Tony:
Steven Clark2 said:You haven't even offered any better discussions yourself. While I am always open to meaningful dialogue, given the way you express yourself, you aren't capable of facilitating better discussions either; your posts consistently lower the quality and standard of our discourse.

I didn't even see this thread or your replies a year ago. And frankly, the point isn't to trade insults, but to have an actual discussion.

Tony, you should probably sort out your own issues and viewpoints before labeling someone else a cultist, because you aren't any better. Of course, if you could present your arguments and stances clearly, I would find it a pleasure to read them and share my thoughts. How can you not grasp that your posts are beneath the level of the Unknown and those like him? My friend, anything can be said in a more pleasant manner without resorting to primitivism and verbal insults.

And he hasn't changed one bit. 🤷

Since Nicole James can't explain why they handed me this second installment, she just calls in shadoworca3 to dig up posts from my first run years ago. It’s a blatant attempt to muddy the waters. Those old posts were written back when the religious crowd was so extreme they actually thought it was okay to call for the deaths of believers' children (my own kids...), and I guess I was being too soft in my responses back then. And honestly, it was because of my complaints that the religious faction finally had to clean up their act and act somewhat normal, but I paid for that win with this second part, which Nicole James still hasn't bothered to explain...

Such a slimy way for shadoworca3 to twist the narrative...😂

And while we're on the subject of spreading hate, shadoworca3 is a moderator who basically tried to push the idea that you could call the Virgin Mary a SLUT...

http://www.reddit.com/showpost.php?p=4...3&postcount=72

I'll just reiterate what I said before about his moderation style and his pathetic attempt to argue for the Virgin Mary being a slut:

Even if someone wanted to argue that Mary wasn't a virgin, you have to ask how shadoworca3 even thinks it's acceptable to immediately label her a SLUT. Calling a woman that is the ultimate insult. It’s pure hatred—it would be vile to call a prostitute a slut, let alone someone's sacred figure. By shadoworca3's logic, I suppose it wouldn't be an insult to call any other woman on this site a slut if you could somehow prove they weren't virgins. So, yeah, it's pretty clear that shadoworca3 is just a troll looking for ways to make us believers look like fools...

Arthur Flores2 said:Since Nicole James can't seem to explain why I was hit with a second suspension, he's calling in shadoworca3 to dig up posts from my first one—which happened years ago—just to muddy the waters regarding how things actually unfolded. Those old posts were written back when the religion sub was at such a low point that people were actually permitted to call for the deaths of believers' children (my own children, specifically...), to which I naturally responded, albeit somewhat reluctantly and with restraint.

It was never allowed on Reddit to call for anyone's death, let alone the death of a child, especially yours. Perhaps some believer might try to justify the slaughter Yahweh carried out against the firstborn in Egypt.
Oops, looks like you were right there among them. 😲

As for your pathetic claim that people were calling for the death of your (religious) children, I can only suggest that you are either imagining things or suffering from pure paranoia. The reality is that you were actually praising the act of God's mercy when He was striking down the Egyptian firstborn, to which F. Chief replied:
F. Chief said:Well, what can I say? May God reward your children in that very same way...

http://www.reddit.com/showpost.php?p=3...&postcount=101

Arthur Flores2 said:.And because of my complaints, the religion sub was finally restructured into something decent, though I paid for that victory with a second suspension that Nicole James was unable to explain...

This is starting to look like pure egomania—not the kind where you're impressed by moderator Nicole James, but the clinical kind you read about in medical textbooks.

You didn't change or restructure a single thing; you were suspended for much more mundane reasons.

Arthur Flores2 said:By the way, speaking of spreading hate, shadoworca3 is a moderator who tried to push the idea that it was acceptable to call the Virgin Mary a WHORE...

I would like to reiterate my previous points regarding his moderation style and his attempt to argue against the Virgin Mary:

Even if someone were to argue that Mary was not a virgin, one has to wonder why shadoworca3 feels the need to immediately label her a slut , which is arguably the most degrading insult a woman can face. It is pure malice when someone calls a prostitute a slut, let alone when they target a figure held sacred by millions. Based on shadoworca3's logic, I suppose it wouldn't be an insult to call any other woman on this platform a slut if it could be proven she wasn't a virgin. Therefore, what we see here is that the moderator, shadoworca3, is actually prone to trolling, essentially watching to see how he can make fools out of us believers....

Once again, you have missed the point entirely. This discussion was centered on a believer's request that users shouldn't post criticisms against church officials on the forum. My response was simply that one can, and indeed should, be allowed to criticize anyone—especially public figures—provided that arguments are presented. For instance, I noted that you can even critique Mary if you back it up with reasoning; otherwise, it's just considered harassment punishable by a fine of 35 or 45 points.
Of course, it won't click for you because, due to your emotional colorblindness, you fail to realize that if you are permitted to criticize Ivo Sanader, Ivo Josipović, or Zoran Milanović,... then you are equally permitted to criticize Vladimir Bojanić, Pozaić, the Pope, or that whole host of mythological figures, including Mary.

That fundamental concept is known as freedom of speech, and it is even enshrined in the Constitution.

shadoworca3 said:It was never allowed on Reddit anyway.

It’s been obvious on Reddit for ages that the mods give religious posts a special kind of treatment just to cater to believers. The result? A million religious users getting banned while not a single atheist gets touched. So, I guess you might as well stop the act. What's the point of all this theater?

You're lying... but to whom? 🤷

But I’m done talking about that. We all know the deal anyway, so there's really no point in dragging it out.

It was never allowed on Reddit to call for anyone's death, especially not children—and certainly not yours.

Look, I’m going to make this quick and blunt. I can actually prove that you're the one to blame here. And honestly? It’s because of your own moderator logic. You’re personally responsible for this mess because you won't stop mocking believers, and that bias is totally clouding your ability to actually moderate a decent discussion.

There you go, coming straight from your own mouth...

I guess some believers probably try to justify what Yahweh did to the firstborn in Egypt.
Oops, looks like you were one of them too.

Regarding that pathetic claim of yours about people invoking the deaths of your (devout) kids—honestly, I can only assume you're just being paranoid or letting your imagination run wild. The reality is you were actually glorifying the whole act of God's mercy when He was wiping out those firstborns in Egypt, which is exactly why F. Chief responded like this:

Quote:
F. Chief says: Check out this post
What can I even say to you? I guess I'll just say, may God reward your children the same way...

So, basically, shadoworca3 is acting like they don't notice how malicious that post directed at me actually was. Look, I get it. The whole massacre of the firstborns in Egypt was an absolute nightmare of a tragedy. But honestly? The real horror wasn't even about those kids who passed away so quickly in their sleep. It was for the parents. I mean, imagine being left behind to carry that grief, just sobbing for years on end after everything went down. That’s the part that actually sticks with you.

Because F. Chief is exactly that kind of guy. Personally, if you ask me... He basically wished me ill—like, he actually wanted me to lose my kids just like what happened in Egypt. Since God punished those parents so harshly by taking their little ones away, anyone wishing that kind of fate on me is essentially wishing the absolute worst upon me. I mean, it doesn't even matter if those kids went straight to paradise and weren't actually punished themselves. The whole point is the punishment hits the parents, not the children. That's where the sting is.

So, shadoworca3 is up there claiming that since I believe God justly punished those parents in Egypt—which, yeah, I absolutely do—that I somehow don't have the right to post here. I guess that's how they work.I really hope I never end up with the kind of fate those Egyptian parents dealt with... honestly, just thinking about it gives me the creeps.

shadoworca3, do you even realize you're not seeing things clearly? I guess you're just bitter because of how our last few arguments went down. You were throwing unfair accusations at me before, too, so I had to stand my ground and deal with you.

So, you're actually trying to argue that people have the right to curse us out just because of what we believe? I mean, I guess that's your take, but seriously?

(shadoworca3 is imagining some kind of righteous crusade, where he can smugly lecture us saying, "Here you go—now that you put all your faith in the God of the Bible, you finally got what you asked for""...😕... personally, I just firmly believe that good triumphs in the end, and there’s a solid answer for everything. But shadoworca3 is convinced that’s not how it works. He’s an average guy, I guess—nothing smarter than me, really—but he lacks that spiritual insight I possess, the kind you only find by following Jesus' mystical paths if your heart is actually open and humble...)

You still don't get it because the discussion was about a believer requesting that people shouldn't post against church officials on this forum. I responded that you can—and should—be able to speak out against anyone, especially public figures, provided you back it up with arguments. For instance, I mentioned you could even argue against Mary if you have the evidence, otherwise, it's just an insult punishable by 35 or 45 points.
Of course, you won't understand, because thanks to your emotional colorblindness, you can't see that if you're allowed to criticize someone like Ivo Sanader, Ivo Josipović, or Zoran Milanović... then you can certainly criticize Vladimir Bojanić, Pozaić, the Pope, and that whole bunch of mythical figures, including Mary.

That nasty little concept is called freedom of speech, and it's even mentioned in the Constitution.

What rotten apologetics, just trying to push through insults against my mother in heaven. I mean, sure, anyone has the right to try and prove the Virgin Mary wasn't a virgin, but once they supposedly prove it, they'll probably write "Mary wasn't a virgin" , or maybe "Mary lost her innocence" , or "Mary wasn't even chaste" , or "Mary liked to sleep around" , and so on...

But if someone takes a loss of innocence as an excuse to immediately call a woman a slut, then that’s just straight-up an insult, especially when you know you're messing with someone's sacred beliefs...

Such pathetic apologetics...

Besides, it isn't even possible to prove that the Virgin Mary was a slut , because a slut can't actually be a human being...

shadoworca3 claims it's possible to argue that the Virgin Mary was a SLUT !!!

😂

And this is coming from shadoworca3, who is a moderator in the natural sciences section...

I don't want to be overly dramatic, but it is truly harrowing to read how you trade children's lives for God's mercy—or rather, for a ticket to paradise.
It seems you couldn't care less that those innocent Egyptian children were slaughtered, simply because, apparently, old Yahweh couldn't find any other way to punish parents. How dangerous your delusion regarding this God (this vengeful, son-killing matricide) actually is becomes glaringly obvious from your posts, where you openly admit that you would even commit slaughter if your God commanded it.

What is even more dangerous, though perhaps not immediately apparent, is that you don't actually mourn your own children who would have perished under what you consider F. Chief's curse; instead, you only mourn yourself. It is the quintessential (Nicole James)ian reaction of a psychopath.
On second thought, your sickness isn't caused by faith or Yahweh. If he didn't exist, you would simply find some other figure from a different mythology and seek justification for your pathology within them.

@Nick
Kudos to you for choosing which forum members need to be stripped of their partiality or slapped with a permanent ban.

Look, buddy; grab a sign, some cake, a spray can, and head straight over to the PBS headquarters to protest those movies about Moses—you know, the guy whose God slaughtered the firstborns. Don't you realize you're probably the only person in the entire US who gives a damn about this? Go ahead, play the martyr. Wave that stick of yours until they ban those films altogether. "Die Hard 7." ...give me a break.🤣

Actually, come to think of it, your sickness isn't caused by faith or Yahweh. If he didn't exist, you'd just find some other figure from another mythology to justify why you feel this way.

For insults this heavy—the absolute worst kind—I’m asking for an appropriate penalty. And besides the fact that I've proven I'm right—since you, acting as the science moderator, tried to argue that the Virgin Mary was a fraud (lol....)—I honestly think these disgusting insults have cost you any shred of credibility needed to moderate. I guess I'll insist that your status shouldn't be revoked though, since maybe being a moderator actually means something to you in life, and I don't want to take that away. Basically, if someone were to fire you for this, I'd forgive the insults...

(Quite the defeat, even if you try to act classy...😂)

By the way, it isn't actually possible for anyone to prove that the Virgin Mary was a bitch, because a bitch can't be a human being at all...
shadoworca3 claims it's possible to argue that the Virgin Mary was a SLUT!!!
😂
And this comes from shadoworca3, who is a moderator on the natural sciences forum...

🤣 and lol.

👍 That legendary sense of humor of yours certainly doesn't fail you, even in a situation this heavy...

The Bible (Mt 1:18-19):
"This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. His mother Mary, betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. And Joseph, her husband, being a righteous man, and not wanting to shame her, intended to break off their engagement quietly."

Merriam-Webster defines:
"bitch;
1. female dog;
2. derogatory term for a woman prone to intrigue and underhanded behavior;
idiom: itch off the leash, derogatory. one who has broken away from the strictness of her center and given in to immorality...
"

Joseph was a believer, so when he finally realized several months later!!! what Mary should have told him on the very first day of her "agreement with an angel for fertilization (Jesus Christ!!!)"... his first thought was "atheistic," which is, the only rational stance: his wife had strayed, essentially, 🤣 broken from the strictness of her center and given in to immorality 🤣

Now, prove the "Holy Spirit" exists (and don't just say "because the Bible says so"), and Mary is innocent. But if you can't prove the "Holy Spirit," then Mary broke from the strictness of her center and gave in to immorality.

If you can't prove the existence of the Holy Spirit, then the Biblical "Holy Spirit" is on the same level as the "three little pigs" from the story Three Little Pigs; it doesn't exist in reality (except as a belief written in the Bible), and in that case, Mary (assuming she actually existed), again, broke from the strictness of her center and gave in to immorality.
And if Mary didn't even exist (and clearly, there is zero evidence for her existence), then—for heaven's sake, what grown man is going to cry and whine if someone calls the mother of three little pigs a slut?!!

I've been hanging around this site for a few years now, and honestly, reading through all these posts just breaks my heart... It really does.

I can't believe things have actually gotten this bad... I just can't make sense of any of it.

We can hide behind a thousand different usernames, but we still leave traces of who we really are and how we feel right here.

Do you guys actually mean the stuff you write, or am I just stuck in some weird delusion about what people should be like? Or maybe I'm just chasing some utopian ideal that doesn't exist.

But hey, my dream for humanity is just getting started...

Brothers, is this really how you testify to God? Using language like this?
If someone tells you that you're obsessed with a God delusion, can you actually respond with something real—something that isn't just an illusion or a trick?

Loving your brother, loving every single person, despite everything... Only love (and if there's any God's mercy left in us, there's love) can break this endless cycle of misunderstanding...

Listen, I just want you guys to find some love.
And then... well, life. Real life.

p.s. Sure, talking about a God delusion is fine—it's part of how humans try to figure out the meaning of everything. But calling the Virgin Mary a "bitch"? No way... That’s just low. To say that about any woman, or any man for that matter.
Don't even get me started on people talking about the death of a child...
