Dear Admin,
Since we can't get a straight answer from the moderators regarding our inquiries: the first time, the second time, the third time, and the fourth time. We are coming to you directly.
We aren't the only ones asking.
In my view, any written rules concerning thread creation—whether collective or individual—apply to everyone, including the moderators themselves.
Per the Blue Paw Association PDF rules: 1 and 2.

Given there is a dedicated thread for Announcements, suggestions, ideas, and actions..., I have to ask: are the moderators actually here to provide meaningful responses? Or is their behavior designed to drive away the few donors left? To them, we might be an insignificant link in the chain, but to the animals at the Blue Paw Association, we are vital. Without those donors, far fewer animals would be saved or treated.

With the current moderation team, getting a response to any inquiry is impossible. One is somewhat active, others haven't shown up in months, and even basic reactions take days.

It seems to me that over the last year, the Blue Paw Association has been dying because the moderators serve as leadership for other organizations, leading to blatant conflicts of interest.

Thanks for your time and for responding.

Regards,
Kenneth Ross8

So now our inquiry has been spun into its own separate thread, even though we didn't ask for that; we already posted it here, because technically this topic continues—meaning we just want a quick, straightforward answer to these uncertainties!

Since I’m actually heading out the door in just a few minutes, and I’d love for your question to get an answer before I return—which would naturally mean wrapping this thread up—I think I’ll just leave you with these two short words. I did take the liberty of shortening the quote for brevity.

Kenneth Ross8 said:With this current lineup of moderators, it feels like you’re shouting into a void because getting a simple answer to any question has become an impossible task; one of them is somewhat active, I suppose, but others haven't shown their faces in months, leaving us all just waiting days on end for even the smallest reaction.

To be more precise—ever since I stepped down as a moderator for both KLJ and the Blue Paw Association on PPDF back in late June—it isn’t really my place to provide an answer anymore, nor is it my responsibility to do so. However, I am quoting him here because it's clear you've linked his point directly to the upcoming developments that involve me quite heavily.

I honestly feel like over the last year, the PPDF has been slowly dying on the vine, mostly because our moderators also happen to hold leadership positions in various Associations, which inevitably leads to some pretty messy conflicts of interest.

Over the past year, I’ve had the pleasure of serving as a moderator for KLJ, while also holding a seat on the Association's board. Blue Paw Association Just to clear things up for anyone who might be a bit lost on this: we are talking about a non-profit citizens' association that... I was just looking over the PPDF files from the PS. She shares the same name and a genuine passion for animal welfare, but beyond that, she doesn't have any actual connection to the PPDF. As far as I know, her only involvement is being listed on... Here is a quick rundown of the various Associations currently active....along with everyone else.

Never, but then again... Blue Paw Association NeverThe Blue Paw Association hasn't spent its time hunting for handouts on various online forums; if anything, we’ve been more focused on stepping up to help others whenever the opportunity arose, though I suppose we haven't exactly been shouting our good deeds from the rooftops, which might be why some of you haven't noticed. It wasn't always a massive undertaking, but we truly did what we could to lend a hand.

It’s honestly a bit disheartening to see how the Blue Paw Association has been unfairly targeted on the KLJ forums lately, with some people making rather rude accusations that we're just using the PS subforum to push our own agenda—though I haven't had a spare moment to dig up the specific links, they certainly aren't hard to track down if you're looking for them. To make matters even more confusing, I’ve recently realized that even among the KLJ moderators, there seems to be some genuine uncertainty regarding the fact that our Association is a completely separate entity from PPDF, which has led to us being mistakenly lumped in with the P group.rI wanted to make sure this got some visibility over on the Blue Paw Facebook page, so I thought I'd highlight it here.

Perhaps you didn't mean us specifically, and I'm sure there was absolutely no ill intent behind it, but since I have zero interest in office gossip or any sort of behind-the-scenes drama, I honestly can't tell who exactly this supposed conflict of interest is aimed at—so I felt compelled to speak up on behalf of the Blue Paw Association just to ensure our reputation remains untarnished.

As I mentioned when I first started out, you'll want to coordinate with the Admins and moderators regarding any other matters that might pop up. KLJ.

bluerider2 said:Regarding this specific part—more precisely, since I stepped down as a moderator for KLJ back in late June, and subsequently from the Blue Paw Association on PPDF—it’s no longer my place to provide an answer. It isn't on me anymore. However, I am quoting him because you all have clearly linked his comments to the upcoming developments that directly involve me.

bluerider2, look, everyone here knows you. Every single person in this PPDF group—both KLJ and PS—knows exactly who you were when you moderated. You were the only one actually putting in the work. You didn't just sit there; you tackled everything. You never ignored a single question from a forum member when things got confusing, and you always handled those private messages, whether people were asking for help or complaining about threads getting locked. You actually showed up.

Kenneth Ross8 said:In my opinion, the PPDF "PS" has been dying over the last year. It’s because the moderators are also leaders of certain associations, and that creates a massive conflict of interest.

bluerider2 said:For the past year, I’ve served as a moderator for KLJ and held a seat on the board of the Blue Paw Association.

Never. But... Never.Look, the Blue Paw Association hasn't been out there begging for handouts on any PPDF forum. If anything, we’ve been the ones stepping up to help others whenever possible. You probably wouldn't even know that, though—we don't exactly go around blowing our own horn. It wasn't massive, sure, but we helped. Period.

We all know exactly how much help the Blue Paw Association has provided—it’s been all over Facebook.

Lori's being slow. She gave a clear answer.

In my opinion, no moderator should ever have a direct tie to an Association. Nor should any Association be elevating one group while tearing others down.
He’s here with specific tasks to complete. Personal opinions? He needs to keep those to himself or take them elsewhere.
A moderator needs to be impartial. They should approach every single topic with the exact same level of scrutiny. Period.
In my opinion, moderators actually need to know what they're talking about! They should be experts on the subject matter.

bluerider2 said:The Blue Paw Association on the KLJ has been rudely attacked several times, with people claiming we’re just using the PS subforum for our own selfish interests. I don't have the time right now to dig up the specific links, but finding them wouldn't be hard. And I recently realized that even among the moderators over at KLJ, there isn't total clarity on the fact that the Association is not the same thing as PPDF.Seriously, they're even trying to mix us up with that P group.rBlue Paw on Facebook—I wanted to make sure this got some attention.

Maybe you weren't thinking about us. Maybe there was no bad intent.

Who cares about the Blue Paw Association, the Rina group, or the Nine Lives organization? None of that matters in this thread. It also doesn't matter if people are confusing the Blue Paw Association with the PPDF or mixing up the Blue Paw Association with the Right Paw volunteer group. Irrelevant.
It doesn't matter how much help you've provided as an Association. It also doesn't matter how many dogs we rescued yesterday, or how many we sterilized...

Alright, let's get back to the point!!
...The subject of this thread is:
Just get me some straight answers to clear questions about opening threads to help animals!
Have the rules changed?
Are the rules for opening a group thread the same? Meaning, do you still have to fill out the questionnaire for every single animal individually?
What are the rules when an asylum center runs out of food? We have absolutely nothing to feed the residents today.
Why can't we open informational threads anymore? Seriously. A member finds some kittens—they aren't asking for food, they aren't asking for cash—they just need some advice on how to actually raise them. That's it. The last thread was closed. The forum user is completely lost.

simply getting clear answers to direct questions regarding threads opened to help animals.
1. Have the rules changed?

I'm not going to weigh in on whether you received an answer, where you got it, or how it was delivered.
However, I do have some thoughts on other aspects of this situation.
Maybe this isn't quite the right thread for it, but if anyone feels otherwise, we can certainly move this discussion elsewhere.

**
The essence of Blue Paw used to be humane, but it doesn't feel that way anymore. Thanks to inconsistent, poor quality, and confusing moderation, it now feels like a training ground for deleting things, stripping context, killing discussions, making it impossible to actually help, blurring definitions, delaying responses, giving vague answers, and creating a chaos that forces people to leave because you never know what arbitrary decision will be made next.

In the past, the moderation team was deeply knowledgeable about the issues at hand, active in multiple ways, and available almost instantly, ready to provide real help while understanding the unique nuances of both the people and the problems involved.

Moderating doesn't mean just hitting delete, playing games, and acting superior.

The word itself implies that a quality moderator MUST understand the subject matter deeply, MUST be able to guide the conversation in a direction that preserves the purpose of the PPDF, and—to use a bit of a joke—must possess actual skills. They need to provide high-quality, understandable answers, leave their ego at the door, keep the PPDF organized and accessible to everyone regardless of intelligence level, and have a decent technical grasp of how the forum functions.

There is another ridiculous phrase stuck in my head lately: working "with dignity and fairness."
Oh... that sounds difficult, though clearly not impossible.

Ever since the last group of quality moderators left, there hasn't been even a trace of that kind of leadership left.
Rules??

What rules?
The rules shift, certain topics expand while others that should be broadened are narrowed down, posts are moved without reason, conversations are fragmented, necessary threads are closed while ones that should be shut are left open... context is lost, and rule updates arrive ten days after the sanctions have already been handed out.

***I don't consider myself some relic of a better era, nor am I someone mourning the past. I've followed Blue Paw since its inception and I know what this forum and this community should look like. This current mess is entirely due to the moderation, not the users. It's frustrating when you can't make heads or tails of anything, watch yourself get flagged for no reason, or report a dozen posts a day only to see zero action taken. It leaves you wondering.
Blue Paw has enriched me and taught me so much... many others too. We've laughed, cried, celebrated, helped, learned, stepped up, and stayed awake through the night on this platform. Change is good when it leads to improvement...but not when it degrades the quality of everything we built.***

I've flagged this for the moderators. They'll get back to you as soon as they're able. Just hang tight until then.

Michelle Evans, we've been waiting on a response from the moderators since July 18th, 2013!!

Matthew Fox4 posted his response to Trokutić on July 26, 2013, at 4:32 PM. It didn't actually answer the question. Just some unsolicited, well-meaning advice that nobody asked for!
Trokutić is feeling the pressure after getting slapped with a yellow card for breaking rules that they went and changed on him. 25.07.2013., 23:00It was our first time ever submitting an inquiry. 18.07.2013., 01:50

Regarding the question: "Where are we allowed to post questions?" We've been waiting on an answer since July 26th, 2013.

If there's even a little. Keep an eye on this thread.Look, just passing through is enough. It’s obvious they're more interested in getting answers from us.

Michelle Evans, as a supermoderator, you’ve seen our inquiry on the Forum yourself. Announcements, proposals, suggestions, ideas, actions... When you all jumped into that thread for other reasons.

When the moderators aren't responding, and even the supermoderators are MIA, I think it’s perfectly reasonable to demand an answer—or at least some kind of response. Help. From Admin.

With all due respect, let’s be real: the animals that need urgent help right now don't have the luxury of waiting 15 days for a moderator to react!

We’re finally going to be free.
The whole point of Blue Paw used to be about being humane. It was. Now? Not so much., It doesn't look that way anymore., Now, thanks to this inconsistent, low-quality, and downright confusing moderation, this place looks like a testing ground. Deleting posts, stripping context, destroying actual discussion... that's what we have here.Blocking help. Preventing support. Just shutting it all down.Confusing terminology. Delays in responses.Missing answers. Unclear answers. Total chaos. It’s the kind of mess that just forces you to walk away because you never know what kind of nonsense someone is going to spout next.

The moderation team has been top-tier from day one. They actually understand the issues we're dealing with. They stay active, they're incredibly responsive, and they’re always ready to jump in and help. Most importantly, they get the specific nuances of both the people involved and the problems themselves.

Michelle Evans said:I've let the moderators know about this, and they'll get back to you when they have a moment. Please bear with us until then.

When they can, or once they finally reach an agreement?
Because they’ve had plenty of opportunities to respond elsewhere whenever they were asked.
If they aren't able to handle it, then there's a problem, and we should probably find people who actually possess the competence and the will to do the job.

We're only ten days past the installation of the NEW leadership, and already we're being asked to give them space to "settle in."

How much time does one need to settle in, considering this forum isn't CERN or some massive project building a particle collider?

Both Snow and Blaise are here... or rather, they are, but they aren't... if you catch my drift. ☕

edit: the point is cowardice and incompetence. When you decide to take a course of action, you need to be able to explain it logically, with a clear beginning and end. It isn't enough to just say, "this is how we want it because we feel like it."
It's cowardly to dodge questions simply because you don't actually have a concrete answer or any evidence to support your moves.
You can't just hide behind "discretionary rights" all the time; that's exactly why rules exist.

Besides, I've already made it quite clear what the fundamental role of moderation should be.
The whole "I want it my way" mentality is something you leave behind in kindergarten.

Honestly, moderators, you should probably just lock your profiles... it feels a bit insulting and lazy when there’s clearly enough time to log on to the Forum, yet somehow none to actually moderate replies or handle inquiries.

Just keep in mind that the vast majority of people here aren't lacking intelligence, nor are they technically incompetent.

p.s. I'm intentionally not replying to my previous post because I've already edited it once.

To put it mildly, it’s completely illogical and frankly confusing that PPDF would adopt the name of a single association when they supposedly have no special connection to it—it’s meant to serve all such organizations equally, right?

To put it less mildly, whatever the intention behind this naming convention might have been, the end result is discriminatory toward all other associations—unless, of course, that was the underhanded goal all along?

Kenneth Ross8 said:In this thread, it really doesn't matter who the Blue Paw Association is, or who Rina is, or who the Nine Lives Association is. It’s also irrelevant whether people are confusing the Blue Paw Association with the PPDF PS or if they are mixing up the Blue Paw Association with the Right Paw volunteer group...

Please forgive me for jumping back into this conversation, but I truly feel that it matters quite a bit. Specifically, I wanted to highlight what you mentioned here:

Kenneth Ross8 said:We believe that over the last year, the PPDF PS has been dying because the moderators are members of various association leadership teams, which inevitably leads to conflicts of interest.

As far as I am aware, that specific point refers to the Blue Paw Association. I don't know, nor do I particularly care, if any other moderators on KLJ during that same period—over the last twelve months—held positions within other organizations; my main goal was simply to clarify that in the case of the Blue Paw Association, such a conflict of interest never existed, nor could it have.

To reiterate my point:

Kenneth Ross8 said:It isn't even important how much help you provided to others as an association (...)

I wasn't mentioning that to brag, goodness no, but rather to emphasize that the Blue Paw Association has never once sought assistance through the PPDF PS, so there was never any possibility of a conflict of interest there.

That being said, I do agree with this part:

Kenneth Ross8 said:Personally, we believe that no moderator should have a direct connection to an association, nor should they elevate one organization while disparaging another.
They are there to fulfill clear duties, and they ought to keep their personal opinions to themselves or express them elsewhere.

That was actually the reason why I offered my resignation as a moderator at one point, though as a former moderator bound by confidentiality agreements, it is a matter I am no longer permitted to discuss.

Thank you all for your kind words regarding my time as a moderator, but please allow me to emphasize that none of that is what truly matters; rather, it is simply the fact that, to paraphrase, "in...For the past year I have served as both a moderator and a member of an Association", which could potentially be viewed as a "conflict of interest." You all understand the nuances here, but many others might not, and since this is a PPDF that other community members access—not just those active on the KLJ—I felt it was essential to share my perspective for the benefit of the entire forum audience, including our regulars on the KLJ.

On another note, I won't go overboard with quotes since you and Roger Ortiz2 have already touched on similar points; it's quite clear to me that when it comes to animal rescue, immediate moderator intervention is often desperately needed. It’s also obvious that those of us truly dedicated to animal welfare feel the impact of everything happening on the Blue Paw Association most acutely. However, looking at it objectively, the moderators on the KLJ treat the entire PPDF with the same level of oversight as its individual PPDF sections. That is a much broader discussion than what we are having right now, so perhaps the thread title should be adjusted or the topic split into two. Ultimately, it's up to the moderators of this PPDF to make that call. 🤷

To be even more blunt, regardless of what the intention behind that naming was, the end result feels discriminatory toward other groups—unless, of course, that was something shady going on behind the scenes?

It looks like we were typing at the exact same time, so please excuse me for drifting off-topic here. When the Association was first being established and we were deciding on a name, we made sure to consult with the Admins as well as the person who came up with the name (Potal). It really isn't the right place or the right moment to dive into those details, nor is it my place to be explaining them all now; I’ll leave that to those who know the reasoning better and invite them to weigh in.

I would kindly ask you to apologize for casting doubt on our intentions and our actions, which seems to be what your use of "supposedly" and "something shady" implies.

Now, if I may, I suggest we get back to the heart of the matter—the dissatisfaction regarding the moderation of KLJ and its associated ppdfs—and simply wait for the moderator's response.

Honestly, I can't think of anything to say to that.

Regardless of what the actual reasoning might be behind such labeling, the claim that PPDF is intended equally for all Associations is—to someone standing outside this circle—just as convincing as saying "Karlovački Corner" is meant for selling every type of beer imaginable.

I am not necessarily insinuating there are malicious motives at play here; I am simply stating how it appears from the outside.

I just gotta get this off my chest.

Honestly, shame on you all. Seriously. You’re out here attacking Blue Paw and the people behind it, even though we haven't done a single thing to you. It’s wild how you can bash an Association that has spent its entire eight months of being active strictly helping other rescues across the US and beyond, supporting volunteers, and helping people find homes for dogs.

It’s just... you're coming for an Association you haven't even sent a single DM to or actually talked to about what we do. And worst of all? You're tearing down people who are fighting for the exact same cause you are.

We haven't taken a single cent from this Forum, either—actually, if anything, we've used the Forum to help out and track down animals whenever foster parents reached out to us.

Total disgrace. All yours.

@brisknomad6, Rina has absolutely nothing to be ashamed of!!
The fact that you all ended up calling yourselves out in a thread meant for straightforward answers to clear questions? That isn't Rina's fault.

@bluerider2, it’s the truth—ever since Pingvich and Misery's Crown left, everything has gone downhill fast.
It’s also true that not every moderator stayed impartial, and some definitely let themselves get carried away too much.

Look, we fully support having Rules and order in the house, but those rules have to be crystal clear and enforced consistently—without hurting the animals that the PPDF "Blue Paw" exists to protect in the first place!

Whether it's the "Noin Arka" Association caring for over 200 animals, the "Blue Paw" Association looking after more than 130, or us as an Association managing over 45 animals (across various locations, since we don't run a dedicated shelter or facility), none of us have the luxury of waiting 15 days just to get a response or a reaction.

Kenneth Ross8 said:Hey Admins,
Since we haven't heard back from the moderators regarding the question I sent over: First timer here! Just popping in to say hi., Round two!, Third time's a charm, I guess!, Fourth time's a charm, I guess!Hey there, we're reaching out to you.
We aren't the only ones who have brought this up. Honestly, I feel like I've seen this exact same thing pop up on the forums a dozen times already.
I honestly feel like all those written rules about starting a new thread—whether they’re general guidelines or specific ones—should apply to everyone across the board. I mean, if you're looking for any kind of help or support, those rules should hold weight for everybody, and yeah, that includes the moderators too. It just makes sense, right?
Rules for the Blue Paw Association PPDF: 1 I think you might have hit send a little too early! I was just sitting here with my coffee, ready to dive in, but there wasn't much to go on. What's on your mind? Feel free to drop whatever you were working on—I'm all ears! 2.
Since there's a whole thread dedicated to this, I’m really curious to hear what you guys think. Announcements, suggestions, ideas, calls to action... let's hear 'em!Are the moderators even here to give us an answer—even if it’s just something small? Honestly, it feels like they're acting in a way that just pushes away the very donors they need. I get it, maybe we don't feel like the most important people in their lives, but we are absolutely vital to the animals. Without the support from folks like us, so many pets wouldn't be rescued or treated through the Blue Paw Association. We're the ones making sure they actually have a shot at life.

So, since my colleague Chocolate Puma is busy prepping for her big Sunday night plans, I figured I’d jump in and reply to this post myself. I actually already posted on the moderator KLJ yesterday letting everyone know I won't be around for moderation duties for a bit—just some real-life stuff piling up that I need to tackle!

Just to get things rolling—if you click any of those links, you’ll see the moderator's note addressed to Zenabr1. It's all about filling out that questionnaire. According to the rules laid out in the PPDF, anyone looking for help with their charges has to complete it, whether you're running an official organization like the Blue Paw Association or just a regular individual helping out a pet. This whole requirement just went into effect, too. 11.02.2013. So, here’s what the moderators have been sticking to all this time, whether they were dealing with an entire Association or just one person. I mean, looking back, maybe things could have gone a different way with Noin Arka, but honestly? Chocolate Puma was just following the PPDF rules to a T.

So, let's talk about those four inquiries that apparently "aren't getting" any answers. Honestly, I feel like we should dive into this.

Hey everyone, just had a quick question... July 18th at 1:50 AM
Second inquiry - July 18th at 2:12 AM (posted after 22 minutes, and that was well after midnight)
3. inquiry - July 18th at 4:32 PM (Later that same afternoon)
4. inquiry - 26.07. So, I’m getting a yellow card from him now? Seriously? Just because I commented on how the moderators are handling things? It feels a bit much, especially since they posted the rule changes right there on the same page. And don't even get me started on that whole thread about Noin Arka... it's getting ridiculous. 18.07. Check this out! So, how exactly should the Association go about filling out the questionnaire? I was actually just sending a PM over to a fellow Forum member with the answer regarding that specific card, but also... I can't see the link you're referring to! Could you drop it in here? I'm ready whenever you are. Where can I actually see how these Associations fill out their questionnaires? Like, I mean specifically where it shows just the total number of animals they're looking after.

Something Kenneth Ross8 totally forgot to mention is that... July 18th at 1:43 AM So, some spammy comment popped up—it was basically just repeating what the moderator already said to the thread starter—and yeah, it got flagged as spam and wiped out. Total clutter. It happened right when the Suggestions section was getting flooded, kind of at the same time...July 18 at 1:53 AMAnd on that same note... you might end up getting boxed in with some red cardboard, but don't worry, it won't be from Chocolate Puma or me!

So, let me try to wrap my head around this—basically, on that Noin Arka thread, one user fills out the questionnaire, and then the very next day right around noon, Chocolate Puma goes in and bolds the questions to make them stand out. Once that happened, the whole debate about how to actually fill out the form basically died because it was so obvious, you know? Everyone got the memo. Except, of course, for Kenneth Ross8, who just keeps on keeping on with the spam and the endless back-and-forth in the thread. They’re still over there arguing about whether an Association needs to write individual questionnaires for all twelve hundred animals they're looking after or not. Like, seriously? It's such a loop!

Kenneth Ross8 said:Honestly, with this current lineup of moderators, getting a straight answer to anything feels like mission impossible. It’s just frustrating. One of them is somewhat active, I guess, but then you've got others who haven't shown their faces in months. Sometimes I feel like I'm waiting forever just to get a simple reaction—it can take days! Just sitting there, staring at the screen, wondering if anyone even saw my post. It’s a bit of a drag.

That’s just not how it went down. One of our members had been waiting on an answer for a few days because the moderators needed to get on the same page regarding the decision. Since there are only three of us handling things here—and honestly, between work and life, we've all been pretty slammed lately—it took a little while to sync up. But hey, we finally got back to her via PM!

Just a quick heads-up for everyone—moderators aren't actually required to jump in and respond whenever someone decides to throw out a provocation. It’s just how things work around here.

Kenneth Ross8 said:Honestly, looking back at this past year, I really feel like the PPDF is just... dying. It’s been such a slow fade, you know? Just feels like we're watching it slip away. The thing is, when you’ve got moderators who are also sitting on the leadership boards of certain Associations, things can get a little messy. It’s that classic conflict of interest, you know? Like when someone's wearing two different hats at once—it just makes everything a bit complicated.

I can't really weigh in on this one. I’ve been acting as a moderator since June 26th of this year, but just to be clear, I’m not a member or part of the leadership for any animal rescue Association. So, there's absolutely no conflict of interest on my end!

Matthew Fox4, since quoting PP is against the rules, let's be crystal clear: Are the rules for opening a group thread actually the same? Specifically, do we still have to fill out a separate questionnaire for every single animal now??
Here's the thread. Which one did she open? Honestly, looking at Chocolate Puma, she’s a terrible example of what a moderator should be. Rules. It’s obvious from looking at them. They clearly want a question mark for every single animal and a serial number written down. Besides, she was the one insisting on all those other topics herself.

Regarding the Noin Arka topic, it’s an absolute certainty. Our question. Right on point!
Regarding what we discussed... The link provided.Look, some forum user just went ahead and copied a completed link from... Topics. If moderators think they get to bend the rules whenever they feel like it, then everyone else should be able to do the same. But no—here we go again, with a moderator stepping in just to meddle with the questionnaire.

Yellow card. Everything went downhill the moment Matthew Fox4 stepped in as moderator and rolled out those new rules. Now, forum members aren't even allowed to post inquiries or submit suggestions anymore. Just great.
We got a PP full of unsolicited advice, yet our direct questions remain completely ignored!

We need a dedicated thread where moderators can post updates when they’re stepping away. Right now, it looks like we have six mods on the Blue Paw Association PDF, but in reality, only one is actually active!

We’re going to keep demanding clear answers:
Have the rules changed?
Are the rules for opening a group thread the same? Specifically, does that mean we don't have to fill out a separate questionnaire for every single animal anymore?
What are the protocols when things go south regarding food supplies? We’ve got nothing to feed the residents today.
Why can't we open informational threads anymore? Seriously. A user finds some kittens—they aren't asking for food, they aren't begging for money—they just need some advice on how to get those kittens raised properly. That's it. The last thread was closed. The forum member doesn't understand a thing.

5. Where can I direct questions to the moderators?

@Kenneth Ross8/">@@Kenneth Ross8, just a heads-up—if you have questions for the mods, please keep them over in the Announcements, Suggestions, & Ideas thread. That’s been the rule, and really, we want to keep it that way. Just, you know, please skip the provocative tones or those sneaky little insinuations. When questions are framed that way, it makes it impossible for us to engage. Honestly, at that level, the mods just can't—and shouldn't—respond to that kind of vibe. Also, don't forget there's always PMs if you'd rather keep things private; I've seen plenty of people reach out that way and get their answers.

Personally, I haven't gone rogue and implemented any random new rules on my own. I mean, I might suggest some new ideas down the road, sure, but whether they actually become "official" is entirely up to the decision-makers who handle that stuff.

As for when a moderator is stepping away or won't be active, they'll post updates in the designated spot so the right people stay in the loop.

Lisa Young83 said:@Kenneth Ross8, let's drop the provocative tone and those malicious insinuations used to "frame" questions, because at that level, moderators neither want to nor can communicate with the community. There's also private messaging, and some users have used that to ask questions and get answers here.

Who actually decides if a question is malicious or insinuating, or determines how thick that supposed "frame" is?
The thing is, what I find malicious might be hilarious to you, and vice versa.
If that rests entirely on a moderator's subjective judgment, then we have a problem, and I could go into detail about why.

I haven't arbitrarily introduced or enforced a single new rule myself; while I might suggest updates, whether they get adopted is up to the people who have always made those decisions.

You have enforced it, though, and cited this so-called unwritten rule multiple times, even though it isn't detailed anywhere in the actual rulebook, nor is there a specific penalty for it—since it was "unwritten" (usually) before it became written on the KLJ.

You didn't invent it out of thin air, obviously, but you likely worked alongside the Admins to ensure it was eventually formalized. On the KLJ!

Which is fine... rules exist once they are established, but they don't exist until they do.

Until then, there was just Tyndalov's instruction: don't argue with the moderator.
I can provide quotes if necessary.

I'm not Rina, but I'm curious about the answer.
