It’ll never quite touch the magic of the original (🙏), but I am genuinely curious to see how they’ll handle the remake of my absolute favorite horror flick. 🍿

He directed kids' movies before this, so I guess we shouldn't expect much more than what you'd get from any other reboot or remake out there.

So, Sam Raimi and Gil Kenan are teaming up to remake the horror classic "Poltergeist."

Basically, they're taking that old story about a family getting haunted by ghosts and giving it a fresh spin with a script by David Lindsay-Abaire. Sam Raimi is producing this one, while Gil Kenan is stepping in to direct.

The cast looks solid too—we've got Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt, and Jared Harris leading the pack.

MGM, the studio behind the whole thing, says we can expect this "new" version of "Poltergeist" to hit theaters this summer, specifically sometime in June.

The trailer looks solid—honestly, there’s a good chance it might actually outshine the original.

Just another one of those mediocre remakes that can't even begin to touch the original—and I’m talking about a genuine masterpiece here. Every time I see the title, my mind immediately drifts back to little H. O'Rourka—bless her soul. It was easily one of my absolute favorite movies growing up; we used to constantly borrow the VHS tapes from neighbors just to make sure someone always had a turn at the player.

I suppose I'll give it a watch, if only out of pure curiosity, though honestly, I’d much rather they just stopped trying to remake brilliant films like this one in the first place.

He’s one of those characters you just catch out of the corner of your eye while you're sipping a cold beer after a big lunch, working through a crossword, relaxing, and just waiting for the release of *Plodovi Lands*!

What a total joke 👎 Seriously, there were parts where this felt like a straight-up parody. I’m beyond disappointed, though honestly, my expectations were already in the gutter.

SPOILER: The only redeeming quality was seeing them actually make it out alive at the end. I was low-key rooting for them to just survive since the movie itself was such a dumpster fire.

Bottom line: don't waste your money on this garbage.
