What kind of penalty are we even talking about here? If he’d just stayed on racing line, Perez would have ended up in the catch fence—then Alonso’s car and the five following him would have all piled into them... He had to cut across just to prevent a massive pileup

I don't think so. 😂

I'm really curious if there's gonna be a penalty here.
Wait, where exactly did Checo slap the maestro?
All I saw was one attempt at an overtake followed by some absolutely masterclass positioning☕
And honestly, Checo looks kind of ridiculous calling out Alonso for cutting the chicane, especially when Alonso had to cut Baton twice for the exact same reason just to avoid a massive wreck😂
Besides, I didn't see you asking for a penalty on Perez either.😂

Penalized for avoiding a collision or basically nailing the corner?
I wouldn't say so...

The faster the better—btw, I can actually swap tires now.
Too bad I can change tires now—would’ve been killer if they finished on these.

This is Fernando's big chance right at the start.
It doesn't get any better than this, so I really hope he shows a bit more grit. If he doesn't have a clear opening, he tends to hesitate rather than go for it.
I'm itching to see him pull off something bold, maybe even a classic Perez Button or a Lewis Webber type of move.

Avoiding a crash? Please. He wasn't even overdriving in that bend. He could've just backed off the throttle a bit and lost a spot—no collision would've happened at all.

Well, it appears he’s been handed a penalty by the stewards. So, essentially, Checo is slapping Alonso

I'm not seeing the consistency here. If Perez pulled that same move on Button earlier in the race, why isn't he getting hit too? 😕

In the end, Perez did give the position back to Button.

I personally witnessed one attempt at an overtake followed by some truly masterful defensive driving ☕
And honestly, it’s almost comical how Checo tries to point fingers at Alonso for cutting the chicane, when he himself cut the corner twice just to avoid a collision 😂
Besides, I didn't see you calling for a penalty against Perez either 😂
I am left waiting for an apology, or if that proves too much, perhaps even just a simple admission that you are being quite biased, as per usual
