Hey there!

I'm having some trouble with my signature... I want to add one more sentence to it, but it won't let me:

Your signature contains too many lines and must be shortened. You may only have up to 1 line(s). Long text may have been implicitly wrapped, causing it to be counted as multiple lines.

I'm trying to split my signature into two parts, putting one sentence on top and the other on a new line below... but the system is blocking me. It seems pretty weird to me because I've seen all kinds of signatures on here, some with entire paragraphs and tons of hyperlinks inside them. What gives?

Just jumping in here so I don't clutter things up with a whole new thread—does anyone know how I can actually give a link in my signature a specific "name" instead of just having the raw URL sitting there?

well, if you want to actually pull it off, try doing it just like this:

basically, instead of typing "like this," you just put in whatever text you actually want to show up.

Oh, and don't sweat the colors the code generated, honestly just ignore those, and make sure you type it all out without any extra spaces in between.🙂

Look, I just don't get why I can't set a signature longer than a single line when I see other users doing it all the time. Honestly, I wouldn't mind if it were tiny; I just want the ability to actually save it. But how am I even supposed to shrink the text?
I tried drafting it in Microsoft Word using a tiny font size (size 2), but the system won't let me. It keeps telling me the text is too long—even though it’s literally just two lines. We’re talking about a single verse from a song here. So, I tried typing it directly into the forum and shrinking the font there before copying it over to my signature settings, but again, nothing works. It’s frustrating because some people here clearly haven't a clue how to do this either, yet those who manage to pull off these long signatures act like it was no big deal. They claim they just typed it in and it worked perfectly fine. Why does it work for them and not for the rest of us?🤷

Technically, you should be able to set a signature as long as it doesn't rely on any BB code—you know, things like bolding, italics, and stuff like that. So, what kind of text were you actually planning on using?

It didn't contain any of that, yet it still refused to give me what I needed.

That’s just three lines of text. I went ahead and tucked them into your signature, though I did drop the font size a bit since they take up three whole lines.

Hey, I could use some help with my signature. I can't seem to get it looking exactly how I want it, so if one of you moderators could jump in and fix it for me, I'd appreciate it.
Here’s the layout I’m going for.

There are certain things you just can't fight—acts of God.
If you see a hurricane barreling toward you, you just move out of the way.
But once you're inside a Hunter, you can actually take the storm head-on.
You can actually win.

You can have up to 3 lines, max.

Alright, I guess I wasn't aware of that rule.🙂

Maybe we could go with this, if that's what you're feeling:

Look, there are just some things in life you can't exactly square up with—you know, those total acts of God.
Like, if you see a massive hurricane rolling in off the coast, you don't try to punch it; you just get the hell out of its path.
But man, once you're piloting a Hunter, everything changes. Suddenly, you actually have a shot at fighting that hurricane. You might even walk away with a win.
