Right now, I have zero proof, and whether you choose to take my word for it is entirely up to you.

That said, those following the political threads—specifically the ones discussing Fred Matić—know exactly what’s going on, especially the regulars who have been following the debate over the last two days.

To be blunt, the moderator Cuka just performed a blanket deletion of two entire pages of discussion, without issuing a single warning or penalty for violating the Rule Forum.

It's no secret that this Forum has dealt with its fair share of biased moderators for a long time. While Cuka isn't even among the most notorious partisan actors here, still...

Has it really come to this regarding freedom of speech?

In those two deleted pages, a user supporting Minister Matić was systematically dismantled, portrayed as nothing more than an irrelevant and malicious commenter.

And right at that precise moment, Cuka steps in to intervene.
I am absolutely speechless; it's enough to make you want to throw your hands up in frustration. 🙂

If we had more mods acting like this, honestly, this place would be a hell of a lot better for everyone.

I’m not interested in debating the moderator personally. My issue is with the process—where everything, good or bad, gets wiped out in one go without a single warning beforehand.
The explanation I received via private message was completely unacceptable to me.

What I wrote—which isn't something I do often—was a response to the constant low blows from @roberta, who has been insulting veterans and proven heroes like Vinko Mažar. He targeted me just as he did Noah Grant59, even after I shared some personal details. He tried to push his "theory" that people criticizing Fred are nothing but war profiteers, though I won't list any other names since he labeled us all that. All of this went unpunished until yesterday, when a few of us finally stepped in.

Once it became clear we were dealing with a liar—someone who looks like they're being paid to write these things—the thread was locked and the most important posts were deleted.

Miky, you haven't actually participated in this discussion for a long time, so frankly, you don't seem to know what's really going on here.

You already asked me via DM and got my answer, but I can tell you the exact same thing here.

In short, the topic is being locked for 24 hours just to let everyone cool off. Things got a little carried away.

Just so we're clear, I spend a fair amount of my time wading through political commentary myself.

Basically, the thread is being locked for 24 hours just to let everyone cool off. People really went overboard.

Charles Fox10, I already told you that I wasn't satisfied with your private message.
I had to share some personal details about myself because people kept insisting we were just a bunch of opportunists and fake veterans looking for handouts from Fred. They want him to answer specific questions to prove our legitimacy.
Those questions have been circling since this whole topic started. Since the allegations have been made public—and Vince Mažar even filed a criminal complaint against Predrag Matić based on those claims, which is common knowledge now—most people believe the accusations in that letter are accurate. You follow this Forum; you know that. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the most incriminating part right here.

But let's stay on track. We are supposed to be discussing moderation. Robert is acting out because of the untrue and insulting comments directed at Vince Mažar. Vince became a public figure by circumstance, not choice, and he deserves a permanent ban for how he's being treated. He certainly earned more than just a temporary timeout.
To make my point more convincing, I felt I had to disclose some personal information about my own career, even though it goes against my principles. I find it unprofessional to do so.

What I wrote—and what other members wrote—should have been left alone. I am against insults. I know the Forum rules, and I know the law. Insulting Colonel Mažar is just as serious, if not worse, than insulting a politician, and both are actionable. Especially since Mažar isn't in a position to defend himself right now. Given his health and mental state, I haven't reached out to him personally, though I don't know if anyone else has.

Furthermore, Robert is naming specific veterans from the Trpinjska area, claiming they support Matić. I am in contact with some of them, and I know that is a lie. One of these men has actually been in the hospital fighting for his life for days. His "support" supposedly happened three or four days ago. In reality, nobody knows when this happened because the user providing the info won't cite a source or provide proof. I refuse to repeat those names here. These are real people with reputations in veteran circles—reputations that Fred would want to respect regardless of his actions back in '91.
The discussion should really be focusing on his subsequent career.

The thread isn't closed permanently, just until tomorrow to let things cool down. Nothing much will change regarding the arguments being thrown around here.

This is just an excerpt from the deleted posts; they don't belong here, especially since any replies quoting them were also removed. Add in a few off-topic comments and your own post containing too much private info, and you have about 15 deletions from today. None of it adds anything useful to the discussion.

one doesn't argue with idiots... .

People raised on primitive radicalism, Bolshevism, or just plain hatred for American traditions.

Your mindset and intellect clearly prevent you from mentioning anyone.

That's way over his head.

Insulting people just because they disagree shows how frustrated and unrefined you really are.

turning ourselves into fools

@Henry Hernandez7 this exchange has nothing to do with you, so please refrain.

Alright, let’s wrap this up. I’m locking this thread for 24 hours to let everyone cool their jets. Things got way too heated, and frankly, a lot of you completely lost it. Let's take a breather and settle down.

I’m putting you on the spot right here in public—and honestly, I’ll be damned if I don't expect you to come back with some kind of coherent explanation this time. ☕ Why did you shut down the thread—"Nora could be cool, but her mother doesn't even..."?
This topic is incredibly timely. It opens up so much room for real discussion—not just about certain individuals, but about the system itself—and yet you went ahead and shut it down without any actual reason. It’s pure discretion, and honestly, it's ridiculous.

I see this thread has already racked up over 400 views. Honestly, I bet the numbers—both the view count and the comment section—would be even higher if you hadn't gone ahead and locked things down. A moderator's job is to actually moderate the discussion, not just kill a thread because they can't handle someone having a different opinion than their own. 🤦

This thread isn't for PDFs. If you want to talk politics, fine—but for anything regarding the closure of the thread about Nora's mother—specifically her outfits, her makeup, her self-promotion, or what’s being printed in Gloria—you’ll have to take that up with the site admins.

Just following the Forum rules. Look, let’s be clear about how this works: if someone decides a topic doesn't actually fit under its current heading, then it gets moved to where it actually belongs. It's that simple. If it's out of place, we shift it to the right section. Period....which is something I've had plenty of chances to witness firsthand right here, and honestly, it just makes perfect sense to me.

The whole thread was basically an autopsy of that media frenzy that just refuses to die, even after it served its purpose. Honestly, watching Muter jump out of line like that to start making noise again feels pretty questionable to me. Beyond that, the discussion moved into the actual mechanics of the system itself—specifically how we handle people who are seriously ill and vulnerable within our institutions.

Rezon, your take on how Nora’s mom dresses and does her makeup is incredibly shallow, and honestly, your arguments are nothing more than pure demagoguery.

I wasn't even expecting to get a coherent explanation out of this place, let alone that this Forum actually had established rules. Honestly, if you were a moderator, I’d tell you to shut your mouth—it’s ridiculous how threads can't be deleted or locked just because some quasi-moderator decides they have a subjective opinion on them. ☕

So, that's it? Just like that, you're heading out? Fine by me! I’ve got plenty of things to do without having to deal with constant goodbyes or empty exits. If you're looking to make a clean break, go right ahead—just don't expect me to be sitting here waiting for your return. Catch you on the flip side, or maybe I won't!

Noah Grant59 said:Now I’m stuck without any way to prove it, so I guess it’s up to you all whether you believe me or not.

Still, those political commentators—especially the ones talking about... To Predrag Matić Fred They know exactly what’s going on—especially a few folks on the Forum who have been driving this conversation for the last couple of days.

So, Cuka just went ahead and nuked two entire pages of discussion without even handing out a single warning or penalty for breaking any Rule Forum guidelines. Is that how we're doing things now?

I know this Forum has had its fair share of biased moderators for a long time now. Even Cuka doesn't really count as one of those well-known, left-leaning types, but still...

So, have we finally hit rock bottom with freedom of speech?

Basically, those two pages completely dismantled ironsurfer52 on Minister Matić's page. He was exposed as nothing more than an irrelevant, malicious troll.

And right on cue, Cuka steps in to moderate.
I’m just sitting here, flailing my arms and pulling my hair out. 🙂

Noah Grant59 said:I’m not interested in debating the moderator himself. I’m questioning the process—specifically how everything good and bad can just be wiped out in one go without anyone receiving a single warning first.
They’re trying to justify it to me in a DM with an excuse I can't even wrap my head around.

I don't post often, but I had to say something. I’ve spent way too much time watching ironsurfer52 lowballing actual heroes from the Battle of Trpinjska Street—specifically Vinko Mažar—and dragging me and others through the mud after I opened up about some personal stuff. He loves pushing this narrative that anyone criticizing Fred is just some war profiteer, all while throwing around insults at everyone else on the board. It all went unchecked until yesterday, when a few of us finally decided enough was enough.

Once it became obvious we were dealing with a liar and someone who clearly gets paid to post, they shut down the thread and wiped out all the key posts.

Look, Miky, you haven't even been active in this thread for ages. Based on everything I've seen, do you even have a clue what we're actually talking about here?

Noah Grant59 said:Cuka, I already told you in my DM that I'm not exactly thrilled with your response.
I already mentioned that I had to come clean about some personal details. People kept insisting that Fred and his crew were just looking for an excuse to call us opportunists and fake veterans. Why bother?
Those questions have been hanging over the Fred thread since the very beginning. Since the allegations were made public—and because Vinko Mažar actually filed criminal charges against Predrag Matić based on those claims, which is all common knowledge now—most people following this topic believe the accusations in that letter are accurate. You’ve been following the thread, so you know that. I’m not sure if I’m even allowed to post the specific incriminating part right here.

But let’s not get sidetracked; we’re supposed to be discussing moderation here. ironsurfer52 deserves a ban—and not just a simple one—for his dishonest and insulting remarks toward Vinko Mažar, who became a public figure through circumstance despite having no desire to be one. He earned it long ago.
To be as convincing as possible, I had to disclose some personal details about myself and where I work, even though it goes against my own principles, simply because I don't find that kind of thing polite.

What I wrote, along with what other members posted, should have stayed up. I’m against insults; I know the Rule Forum, and I’m well aware of the law. Insulting Colonel Mažar is just as bad as insulting a politician, both of which are actionable offenses. Especially since Mažar isn't in a position to defend himself, and knowing his current health and mental state, I haven't reached out to him—though I don't know if anyone else has.

Similarly, ironsurfer52 is naming specific veterans from the Battle of the Street, claiming they are supporting Matić. I am in contact with some of them, and I can tell you that is a lie. One of them has actually been in the hospital fighting for his life for days. Their support was given several days ago, not recently. In fact, nobody actually knows when it happened because this user provides no sources or confirmation. I won't repeat those names here. These are living people with reputations in veteran circles—reputations that Fred would hold regardless of anything he did or didn't do during the war.
The discussion on this thread usually focuses more on his later "career."

I just noticed this pathetic little sob story full of lies, but honestly, it’s no surprise coming from such a gossip and a liar.

In the meantime, I’d like to ask the admin to restore the mentioned pages. I’d love to read exactly where and how these gossips like you supposedly "dismantled" me and where I allegedly insulted the veterans from the street.

Regarding Vinko Mažar, I simply stated that he made a fool of himself. That is a fact that has nothing to do with his service during the war; it refers strictly to his behavior over the last year.

To clarify: Vinko Mažar used false information in an indictment filed by another veteran against Minister Matić. This was accompanied by a statement where he lied about having the signatures of numerous veterans, who subsequently went public to distance themselves from him and support Minister Matić.
Once Mažar was exposed, he turned his attacks on those legendary veterans, including General Zadra’s brother, Pero Janjić, and Mirko Brekala, the president of the local veterans' association.

The most disgusting thing is for a user to mention the medical condition of someone currently lying in a hospital bed, especially when it’s well known that the support being cited is a year old, not a few days old.

Everything I’ve said is documented via links in my posts, which are still available on the thread and are easy to verify.

It’s obvious that this user is just trying to score cheap political points for his handlers ahead of the local elections, and he doesn't hesitate to use the lies and insults that seem to be his standard vocabulary.
