Best budget monochrome laser printers?

I'm looking for some advice on picking up a monochrome laser printer.

My monthly volume is pretty low, around 100 pages.
I need something budget-friendly, ideally under $233, and I want to make sure the replacement toner isn't going to break the bank when the time comes.

Honestly, just grab whatever fits your budget and toss it once you run through the starter toner. They're all pretty much the same stuff, man.

Your best bet might be grabbing the cheapest HP you can find, getting the toner refilled once, and then just ditching the whole thing to start over with a new machine. That way, those 2,500 pages end up costing you maybe $900--$333
Why?
Because let's face it, printers these days are basically disposable, just like the cartridges inside them.

Obviously, you don't need a machine rated for 14,000 pages for $333 + tax

I picked up a Xerox Phaser for $167, and the starter toner got me through about 700-800 pages. Then I grabbed a compatible toner $100 (which does over 1500 pages)
I'm already on my third off-brand one now and it works like a charm 🙂

Picked up a Canon LBP6000z 640 $213, and the compatible toner is only $83.

Satisfied so far. It’s plenty fast, and the print quality is fine—more than enough for basic text.

Anyone know if there are any sales going on for laser printers right now?

It looks like the toner cartridges, specifically the MLT-D101S, go up to $167? I've heard people talk about getting them refilled—like, is that actually a thing? And where do you even go to do that without getting ripped off?
Are there zero discounts happening at the moment?
Ideally, I'd want to pick something up from a shop in Indianapolis
