So, if you want to create an absolutely legendary vibe, you need the perfect storm. You need an opponent you genuinely despise from the bottom of your soul (like the Los Angeles Lakers😍), an opponent who brings their own hardcore ultras along, because that’s when you really want to show those guys that they have nothing to say in our house because we run this place. And then there's the opponent you're fighting against just to prove you belong in the big leagues (like a top-tier European club). That last kind of matchup gets everyone—the whole stands, North and South—totally fired up. Honestly, I think the craziest atmosphere we ever had was against that one European powerhouse, because everything lined up: the stakes were high, we were scoring tons of goals, and the adrenaline was just insane. Plus, I remember that game happened during that crazy storm on August 5th, where the whole stadium was basically drunk. That kind of night is when you hit the absolute peak of what cheering can be.
And, uh, about Smith, he’s alright, he’s got his ways, but even he messes up sometimes. Like, imagine we’re playing the Lakers and it’s the 88th minute and the score is still 0😳. I wouldn't necessarily agree that the passion of the fans depends on how attractive the opponent is. There are plenty of variables at play, but let’s be honest—you guys have always been a step ahead of us in that regard. 😍

It serves absolutely no one to see a club with this much history, tradition, and sheer scale fall apart. I don't know what your local fan culture is like, so don't sweat it, but when it comes to pure numbers, organized stunts, visual displays, and overall atmosphere, the Hell Angels deserve nothing but praise. Keep doing exactly that. I’m probably not the only one feeling this, but I’ll admit I’m a little envious of that seamless bond between the players and the supporters—that "you are the club" mentality—because we are nowhere near achieving that level of unity. You had over 20,000 people showing up to support a team fighting just to stay in the league, whereas we won't even see that many people combined for two Champions League matches, even with the prize money on the line. Personally, I’d still rather go to an MLS match than a Champions League game, just to prove that supporting a club isn't solely about chasing trophies. Look, the whole point of all this is to build up more leaders—so we don't end up putting everything on the shoulders of just one guy again.
Even before the old leadership era, there were plenty of "hold on, wait a second" moments where people were rotating through the stands way more often. I’ll have to dig through some old videos and photos later to prove I'm not just making this up.
Take the game in St. Louis, for example—the atmosphere was pretty lackluster, but then the next match was way better, and at the game against the Lakers, it was absolutely perfect. Just give it time; things will settle into place eventually.
I mean, look at BBB—they always show up to the big derbies with three megaphones going, and everyone is just used to that rhythm now. It’s totally natural that after six years, seeing someone else in charge feels weird.
Even when the suggestion was made to let the current lead rotate out occasionally, he just flat-out refuses...

edit: We've had countless massive games where the energy in the stands was just straight-up trash. Think about those matchups against Zenit, AEK, or even the Centennial anniversary game...

Maybe if you actually gave 100% of yourself out there for the full 90 minutes, then you’d have some actual ground to stand on when you start whining about how the fans aren't doing enough...

Look, I don't care if we set off one massive flare, just not at some damn 60th minute when we're absolutely cooking. We're on a roll, attack after attack, a goal is practically inevitable, and then—bam—it's like Nero tried landing a plane at the Rose Bowl, everything goes sideways, the rhythm dies, the momentum vanishes, and the whole thing just goes up in smoke.
Seriously, just swap that 60th minute for the 46th and let the whole place burn down instead.
