I think the letters are great. Maybe they’re a bit long... but still great. If we try to play the role of some big-shot celebrity now, I guess the turnout might go from 0.44% to maybe 1.00%. They’re the ones with enough grit to take on a thankless job like this—a job where you're constantly fighting against the local Miami mentality, internal flaws within the group, and endless administrative bullshit. You don't even expect any credit when things actually go right, because at the end of the day, you're doing it out of love for the Club and the guys. But if you screw up? Well, then the firing starts. You get hit from three sides: first, by anyone who disagrees with you using lines like, "Man, I knew this would happen once X and Y took charge"; second, by the media; and third, in most cases, by the cops. There’s a difference between being skeptical and being actively obstructive. Everyone has a right to be wary of change, sure, but life moves on. You don't have the right to sabotage someone else's efforts unless you were actually planning on stepping up and taking the heat yourself.

The fan culture needs to stay messy for as long as it takes until everyone finally stands up, because forcing things just doesn't work. At the end of the day, being a leader within the supporters isn't like those old roles where you just picked between the guy who could outdrink anyone or the egoist who wanted to climb the stadium rafters. These days, it’s more like being a conductor, except when the conductor leaves, there isn't exactly a set score to follow. It makes things harder, I guess. If you have complaints, fine—bring them all, along with actual arguments on how to change things, to the General Assembly. Until then—or after that, if you choose to stay silent—just let people do the work. Let them handle the paperwork, sew the flags, or coordinate the buses for away games. Not to mention all the other essential stuff any organized group has to deal with. 😁

I’ve personally watched him want to smash his phone against a wall at least 50 times over these last 6 years because of calls about tickets, banners, organizing travel, bus/flight logistics, and all that nonsense. It’s never actually happened, though. People would call him with the absolute worst bullshit while he was just trying to grab coffee, prep choreography, or hang out at the Club or home. So, yeah, maybe think twice about why that guy ended up in the secretary role.
