Personally, I’ll admit I’ve tossed a flare onto the field at least ten times in my life—and I did it on purpose because that was just how things were done back then! But most of that happened during the old glory days, long before this era of mediocre amateurs took over. Back then, we actually fought against the people ruining the club, and if you look at where we are now, it's clear they almost destroyed everything.
But throwing a flare now, when we're staring down bankruptcy and the literal threat of the club folding, is pure insanity, isn't it? And all of this is happening just to please some corporate suit. For the first time in my life, I actually find myself agreeing with someone I usually disagree with, because even the Black Knights are prioritizing some bloated executive over our own interests. Instead of going after the corrupt management and the league officials every single game, we've somehow decided to play nice for the sake of the higher-ups. To me, that feels like an even bigger disgrace than when the club's ownership was swapped out for that Inter Miami group.
By the way, the cheering yesterday was just plain depressing. When it really mattered and we needed to push those kids through the final 20 minutes—since they were falling apart like house of cards—there were maybe 13 people left standing in the stands. But I guess it makes sense, doesn't it, since it's been ages since anyone could cheer without needing some authority figure to give them permission.
