I have to say, there’s nothing quite as obnoxious as Formula 1 drivers.
I’m watching the NASCAR qualifying right now, and even with the rain (which isn't even that heavy), everyone is riding perfectly fine.
It turns out you can handle two wheels just fine, yet on four wheels—despite those massive contracts—they struggle.
They should all just crash into each other. Back in the day, these prima donnas didn't get to act so entitled.🙂
Back then, it was all about pure grit.
A quality they just don't seem to have anymore.

How did we end up with this red flag? It doesn't look like qualifying is going to wrap up anytime soon—we could be stuck here for hours. 🤦

I couldn't care less—I don't let my guy drive or anything like that 😠 ☕

I want to! Just let me get behind the wheel... 🙂

DC and Ben are hanging out with Murray Walker, interviewing the crew. It's packed with info. You've got jak and Eddie on the scene, one hand holding a mic and the other a coffee, just sipping away and taking the piss out of everyone... one of them is actually from NBC 🙏

vibes.

Honestly, all this talk just reminded me that I am way overdue for a cappuccino.

Not happening. They don't have the floodlights like they do in Singapore. They’ll probably just buzz around behind the SC for a bit and then call the whole thing off, because apparently, these guys don't know how to actually drive in conditions like this.

P.S. S. Pirelli is likely to blame for everything. 😁
P.S. Uncle S. Brunin is probably turning in his grave seeing how his nephew can't even nail a qualifying lap in Q2—back when he used to absolutely crush those same conditions by a full second.

Was the rain in the 80s just not as heavy as what we're seeing today? 😁
Or were the cars more reliable back then, allowing them to actually push through a monsoon? 😁

Or are today's F1 drivers just lacking the guts? 🤦

It’s a quasi-constructive lobby. Their whole mission is to sneakily market some obscure energy drink that clearly isn't designed to keep people grounded, all while essentially slapping the face of every decent gentleman in the room.

Nice 🤣
Two red cars spin out like prima donnas and suddenly we’re waving red flags everywhere. 🙄

If this keeps up, McLaren needs to file a massive lawsuit against Charlie and the FIA. ☕
Perez and McLaren played their tactics perfectly and earned that point. Denying them a shot at Qualifying 2 would be a total slap in the face to fair play and the spirit of the sport. Punish Charlie Whiting. 🙄

Perez and McLaren nailed the strategy and earned their points—denying them a spot in Qualifying 2 would be a total slap in the face to fair play and the whole spirit of the sport. Honestly, they should just penalize Charlie Whiting🙄

Two red cars spin out on the track like absolute prima donnas and suddenly everyone is waving red flags as if that solves anything at all.🙄

If this becomes the new standard, then McLaren really ought to consider filing a massive lawsuit against Charles and the FIA.☕
Sergio Perez and McLaren executed their strategy to perfection and earned that podium spot, so trying to extend Qualifying 2 would be nothing short of a slap in the face to the very concept of fair play and sportsmanship; frankly, Charlie Whiting should be the one facing consequences here.🙄

And now your precious Vettel is claiming that stopping qualifying was actually the right call...
If we have to manufacture scenarios where Fernando Alonso and someone else are stripped of their legitimate attempts at a run, then quite frankly, they don't deserve the podium.

Their race starts at 1 PM, so that 6 PM slot there would be 3 PM. Definitely isn't dark yet.

btw... mechanics are doing waves, fans in the stands are screaming.🙂

I’m watching the qualifying session for NASCAR right now, and despite the rain—which, let’s be honest, isn't even that heavy—everyone is driving perfectly fine.
It just goes to show that you can handle two wheels without an issue, yet when you're on four (and getting paid tens of millions to do it), suddenly everything falls apart.
They should all just pile up together. Back in the day, we didn't have these prima donnas acting so entitled.🙂
It used to be about pure grit and guts.
Something that clearly doesn't exist anymore.

A modern F1 car is essentially a low-slung, four-wheeled machine equipped with incredibly wide tires, which makes it ridiculously sensitive to standing water...

When, or if, you actually hit aquaplaning, you are completely helpless... it's utterly pointless driving... and the entire race basically turns into a desperate attempt to dodge tiny little puddles. 🙂

hollowhawk412 said:And your guy Vettel said stopping qualifying was the right call...

So what does it actually matter what he or anyone else said?

hollowhawk412 said:If we have to save Sergio Perez by making sure Fernando Alonso and someone else don't get decent runs, then he doesn't deserve pole anyway.

Yeah, right. By that logic, if Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel, Romain Grosjean, or whoever wins pole doesn't deserve it because Jenson Button didn't get a chance, then nobody deserves anything.🙄

It doesn't matter who said what. It’s simple: certain drivers nailed their window to hit the track and the right tires.
Whoever timed it right should get rewarded; everyone else just misses out.☕

And if people say Alonso didn't get a fair shot, it's not his fault he went out on intermediates.
Or maybe you think Sergio Perez is to blame because Ferrari decided to gamble and sent their guys out on inters while the rest of the grid did something else.
