I honestly can't tell if he’s just some lone wolf wandering through here or if you all actually have some interesting way of measuring engagement on this forum...

I just got a PM warning claiming I was posting off-topic content or spamming...

So, you disappear for a week, show up out of nowhere, and then just drop a thread about some ancient 60s show with a synopsis and the cast list, but without actually saying anything about the series itself. I mean, the Unshown section is supposed to be for actual discussions about shows, not just for mass-producing threads

And honestly, if it turns out you're just a carbon copy of Larry Walker24, you probably shouldn't even be hanging out on Television anyway, since Larry Walker24 is basically halfway to a permanent ban there. ☕

I honestly have no clue who anyone thinks Manhild's clone is... I’ve been a registered member here since 2009, so I think my track record speaks for itself. My whole intention in posting these series is simply to spark some actual conversation and get people talking about them, but if nobody wants to engage or dive into a discussion, that's hardly my fault...

Just as you can see, having zero replies on a thread isn't exactly a reliable metric for anything...

Since I spent three years serving as a moderator myself, I’m genuinely curious about the logic here...

I think I’ve made my point clear. Honestly, just flooding the boards with replies when I’m the one who started the thread doesn't really count as contributing anything meaningful... it feels more like spamming to me, I guess. 🤷 But hey, you be the judge. 🤷

He really needs to be told, right from the jump, that his actual job is to step in and explain things to a member if they’re making a mistake, rather than just throwing around warnings like that... those formalities should come much later in the process.

Not sure why there’s such a surge lately in threads about ancient shows that basically die after the first post. It seems pointless—just cluttering up the feed without actually serving a purpose.

If we were talking about shows from five or ten years ago, maybe. But digging up stuff from the 80s or, God forbid, the 50s? That isn't really discussing spoilers anymore; it’s more like a history lesson on American television. It goes against the spirit of the Unshown section, which is mostly meant for series and seasons currently airing here in the States. There's this unwritten rule based on common sense and basic decency. It sounds utopian, but usually, it works.

Every single series listed under the "Aired" and "Unshown" sections deserves its own dedicated thread, and honestly, nobody has any right to try and block that—not even the moderators. If the community doesn't find a particular show interesting enough to talk about, then it’ll just naturally fade into obscurity on its own...

A moderator's actual job should be to step in and explain the rules when someone slips up for the first time, rather than just jumping straight to a formal warning. It’s how I handle things on four different subreddits I moderate, and honestly, it works perfectly fine there...

In those examples you brought up, we're looking at movies that hadn't even hit theaters by the time the threads were started, so I suppose it's impossible to really give any kind of solid commentary on them yet.

Well, just to make sure I’ve covered all my bases, I went ahead and dropped a comment in all four threads. If anyone actually decides to step up, then great... if not, oh well.

If I can offer some constructive criticism: maybe don't start threads about shows you haven't actually watched yet. If your goal is to get people interested in an older series, sharing a personal take would actually help spark a conversation. Right now, your posts mostly boil down to "What do you guys think of this?" or "I'm planning to watch this soon," which defeats the purpose. Also, the constant talk about upcoming pilots and shows that haven't even aired yet is getting old. My suggestion? Wait until you've at least finished the first episode before opening a thread. That way, you'll have something real to contribute besides just copy-pasting info from other sites.
