Honestly, I’ve been feeling pretty lousy since Friday. Just totally wiped out, zero energy, and my head and eyes are starting to throb. It feels like I might just keel over at any second.
I really don't want to go dragging myself to the doctor for nothing, and honestly, being stuck in those waiting rooms is the absolute worst.

What do you guys think this could be? Is it just this crappy weather messing with me or what?

I really don't want to drag myself to the doctor for nothing, plus I can't stand sitting in those waiting rooms anyway.

Any idea what this could be? Maybe just the weather acting up or something else?

Look, if you actually want a decent answer here, you gotta give us something to work with. You need to lay out the basics—stuff your doctor already knows or would ask you about. Like, your medical history, any old illnesses, BMI, blood pressure, potential triggers... basically, give us a quick medical history overview.

You really need to lay out at least some basic details—you know, the stuff your doctor already knows or would probably grill you about if you walked into their office. I'm talking about the essentials: any past medical history, your BMI, what your blood pressure is looking like lately, or even those specific triggers that set everything off. Basically, give us a proper medical history, for crying out loud! It's hard to help someone when we're flying totally blind here.

I honestly don't even know where to start with this whole mess, because it feels like every time I turn around, there's some new headache waiting for me, but I guess I'll just dive in anyway since I've already committed to this rambling thought process. It’s funny, really—if you can call it that—how things just spiral out of control when you least expect them to, and I'm sitting here thinking about how much easier life would be if people just stopped overcomplicating everything, though I know I'm probably just being my usual, overly dramatic self. Anyway, just a little extra note to add to the pile! So, I was falling down a rabbit hole online last night—you know how it goes, one minute you're looking up something useful and the next you're three hours deep into some obscure wiki page—and I ended up reading all about medical anamnesis. Now, that sounds like a fancy, high-brow term if you ask me, but really, it’s just a glorified way of saying "taking a history." It's basically that intense interrogation session where a doctor sits you down and tries to piece together the puzzle of why your body is currently betraying you. It’s actually kind of wild when you think about it. Before they even touch you with a stethoscope or start poking around, they have to play detective. They’re digging through your past, asking about your family's health quirks, what you ate, how much sleep you've been getting (which, let's be honest, for most of us, is a joke), and every little ache or pain you might have dismissed as "just getting older." It's all about building this massive roadmap of your life so they don't miss the forest for the trees. I mean, can you imagine if doctors just skipped this part? They’d just be guessing! It would be like a mechanic trying to fix your Ford F-150 without even popping the hood or asking you if the engine started making that weird clicking sound three weeks ago. You can't just jump straight to the prescription pad; you have to do the legwork first. It’s the foundation of everything. Without a solid history, the whole diagnosis is basically built on sand, and nobody wants a doctor who’s just throwing darts at a board to figure out why your stomach hurts. It’s tedious, sure, and sometimes it feels like you're repeating yourself a dozen times to different nurses, but man, it's the only way to get real answers.)

...

I honestly think everything’s gonna be fine and this whole thing will just blow over soon. My best guess is that I totally botched it by using some Dove cream too close to my eyes because my skin was feeling incredibly dry lately, you know? So, I’ve officially stopped putting any of it on, and if my gut is right, it should all clear up in maybe two or three days—well, at least that's what I'm really hoping happens! 🙂

I really don't feel like dragging myself to the doctor right now if there isn't even a real reason... honestly, I just can't stand being stuck in those waiting rooms... ugh.

Could it be the weather... or what else could it be?

No offense intended, but medically speaking, this doesn't really hold water. Looking at all those symptoms mentioned in the original post... honestly, the only thing that actually makes sense is the stinging eyes. That could easily be caused by using a dry skin cream too close to the eye area...

Look, whenever I glance upward, I immediately get hit with this wave of exhaustion and weakness, so my gut feeling is that maybe the cream just totally drained my eyes and now my body is basically trying to "save" them or something. When I'm lying down or sleeping, everything feels fine, but the second I stand up, my head and eyes start throbbing—it usually settles down after about ten minutes, but if I eat anything beforehand, I feel like I'm going to throw up and I actually run a fever. If I don't start feeling better by Friday, I'm heading straight to the doctor.

edit: Honestly, that cream is the only possible culprit because I only started using it on Tuesday, and then by Friday, the headaches and that weak feeling kicked in. I didn't even stop using it until Sunday morning, so that's probably why I'm feeling like absolute garbage right now.

edit2: Also, I tend to go out for pretty long runs when the weather is nice, so there's a good chance the sweat just washed the cream right into my eyes.

Unless you mixed some LSD straight into your moisturizer, it’s probably not the cream's fault. Are you dealing with blood pressure issues lately? Eating alright? If everything else seems fine, just go see a doctor

I mean, I get blood pressure issues sometimes, but it’s super rare, maybe like three or five times this whole year. And I eat three meals a day, usually, though yesterday and today I could barely stomach anything. This is the container of cream I've been using, but I honestly can't tell if it says "soft" or something else on the label.

edit: So, I applied the cream between 6:30 and 7:00 AM, and then on Thursday I went out for a run, obviously having some of that cream on the skin around my nose area. The next day I woke up with this nagging headache and feeling just kind of weak. Then on Sunday, I headed out for a bit—even though I felt pretty shaky—and I figured it wasn't a huge deal, so I stayed out until about 1 PM. Got home, crashed at 2 AM, and slept until 8. Then I tried to sleep again around 11:30 PM and didn't wake up until 12:30 PM. Right after waking up, I went outside even though it was windy and I felt incredibly weak. Finally made it home around 7 PM, hit the sack by 7:30, slept until 9 AM, and now I've just been napping all day. I'm starting to feel a little better now, though. Hopefully, this whole thing clears up in a couple of days.

Whatever you experienced—whether it was a one-off thing or if you're still feeling off—it simply can't be caused by Dove moisturizer, or any skin cream for that matter. I suppose if you had gotten some directly in your eye, you might have felt a bit of irritation for a few minutes, but that would be about it. However, the fatigue, nausea, weakness, and everything else you mentioned? There’s just no logical connection there, which is what Tyler James5 was trying to point out to you earlier.

I’m jumping into this thread so I don't start a redundant one. I’m dealing with the exact same symptoms: I can barely eat, I’ve lost weight, and I'm struggling with headaches, stomach pain, and constant bloating. This started last Friday. My sleep schedule is completely wrecked—I’m passing out at 5 AM and not waking up until mid-afternoon—and I have zero appetite. I feel incredibly weak, sometimes getting sharp pains under my ribs, and whenever I try to stand up, everything goes black. I honestly have no idea what’s going on; even as I'm lying here right now, my stomach is still hurting...

Check out post #2 above. Just a list of symptoms isn't enough to go on without more info about the patient

16 years old, BMI 18.7 (it was 19.7 back when I was in high school), no major health issues aside from a one-time course of antibiotics for a tooth infection. My blood work and blood pressure have always been perfect; my only constant concern has been my heart palpitations.

I’ve been feeling absolutely pathetic for the last two days, almost like I’m coming down with the flu... everything just aches, my head, my muscles, the whole nine yards. I don't think I actually have a fever, though—I managed to smash my thermometer back in February, so I'm basically flying blind here. God, everything just hurts.

I suspect time is the primary culprit here... perhaps you might try incorporating a multi-vitamin into your routine—those effervescent ones from Nature Made worked wonders for me—just stay hydrated, avoid anything too heavy on the stomach, and things should start looking up 🙂

Well, it’s already water under the bridge... though it did hang around for maybe two days or so. Everyone else I talked to was insisting it was just some weather-related fluke too. 🙂
