@maminho - I am fully aware that you’re being messed with more than you ought to be. And, if I’m being honest, I know I’m part of the problem too. Unfortunately, I find myself feeling provoked and agitated into these kinds of outbursts quite often, and I struggle immensely to restrain myself. If I had even the slightest inkling that you were doing this on purpose, I would be making a massive scene here, arguing that half these disputes would vanish instantly if we just cleared you out of the NASCAR paddock entirely, since everything seems to revolve around you. But because I don't believe there's any malice behind it, I won't go that route; it wouldn't be fair. In any case, I’ve told Mod several times that he should feel free to issue me a ban whenever I start trolling, and I truly mean it. As for my part, I will attempt to manage my own behavior as best I can (using the ignore list...).

@pato gold - I’ve been trying to explain this exact same thing for a few days now, but it feels as though they are attempting to solve a minor splinter by amputating the entire finger.

Mark Ruiz8 is making some deep points here.
There’s honestly been way too much drama stirred up over a pretty basic chat thread.

Just look at how Paşki is talking to me about the Championship drama. It’s basically giving off major "you’re an idiot and I’m not even going to waste my breath on you" vibes. Look, if he’s actually decided to step up and take on a leadership role, then he needs to show up, be constructive, and stop with all this petty back-and-forth and little provocations while trying to fix the mess.

This entire debate really highlights the core issue here... You've been a part of this championship from day one, and if I recall correctly, you were even one of its co-founders. Yet, suddenly, you’re acting as if you have no idea how the rules work: you’re looking for concessions outside of them and offering deals that fly right in the face of the regulations that clearly govern everything. In this specific instance, you are quite clearly screwing over ruggedfox28, and you'll likely push him to the point where he has to insult you just to get you banned. Why not simply consult the rulebook to see how a teammate can be replaced, rather than suggesting he just grant you some arbitrary swap?

First off, can we please stop whining about the Paddock?

Secondly, all this Paddock talk happens behind closed doors. Nothing you type here is going to sway a single decision, especially since those decisions have already been finalized. ☕

Moving forward, I’m going to consider any mention of this chat topic after this post to be nothing more than trolling. Thanks. ☕

Yet, suddenly, you're acting as if you don't know the rules at all. You're looking for concessions outside of them and offering things that go against the regulations—regulations that clearly govern these situations. In this specific instance, you're just making things difficult for ruggedfox28, and eventually, you'll push him to the point where he has to insult you just to get a reaction, which will land you a ban. Why not simply read the rulebook to see how to change a teammate instead of asking him for special favors?

It isn't just that, either. He tends to nitpick over nothing, dragging out arguments where they aren't needed—and usually, they're needed in places where he's being most stubborn. That's why he ended up getting flagged before for those "out-of-touch" comments and similar remarks.

Buddy, just take a breath. Don't be so stubborn; just relax and try to have a normal conversation. 😉

I have never stooped to that level by insulting anyone (at least not directly 😬) on this forum, nor have I ever picked up a single penalty or even a warning for being disrespectful... unlike some people, I have a line I won't cross.

..not sure what I'd have to do to trigger him into making me snap and start hurling insults..

he's exhausting as hell, but he doesn't mean any harm😉

You're absolutely right—that post didn't earn you 35 points. It deserved at least 100, just like all your other posts after the warning. (Ignoring mod warnings + relentless trolling).
And honestly, you earned a mountain of warnings on that thread, just like plenty of others before and after the warning. I won't be this lenient in the Paddock ever again, not even for you.
That was my mistake, and I'll do my best not to repeat it.

From that post downward, it’s crystal clear what you were doing and how much you were provoking people—not just in your actual posts, but in deleted ones, edited ones, the way you write your edits, and all those subtle jabs at users versus mods despite being warned.
Of course, nobody is completely innocent here; you aren't the sole villain, nor are you the only one jumping into the fray to bait others.
But you really crossed the line this time, leaving me zero choice but to shut down the thread that the regulars love so much on the F1 subforum. 😢

Now that the Paddock is closed, you're suddenly "better than ever." You're behaving perfectly by the rules in all other threads, and I agree—it’s actually a pleasure communicating with you across the F1 boards now.
Your posts no longer contain provocations toward anyone; you argue without baiting your interlocutors, and your discussions are genuinely constructive. 👍
Posts like these are exactly what we need. It's a pleasure to read them and engage with you. 🙂

My only issue is that I'm afraid this is just temporary—the calm before the storm.
I hope I'm wrong and that everyone keeps up this tone you've adopted in the F1 section lately. 👍
If you keep writing the way you have since the Paddock closed, I don't see any reason why you or anyone else should get a single warning on the F1 subforum. 🙂

There was never an issue with the topics in the Paddock—whether it was football, wolves, clothes, cooking, cats, food, or drinks.
The problem wasn't the subject matter; it was the constant provocation and trolling.
It's like those football fans who only ever post to trash-talk one specific team and its players,
without ever writing a single positive thing about any club or player, always picking fights with the exact teams the forum regulars have long-standing rivalries with.
That is blatant provocation and trolling, plain and simple. Just because it's a chat thread doesn't mean anything goes.

I know you've been provoked plenty of times too, and you aren't the only one to blame, nor were you always the instigator of these arguments.
But sometimes you have to take a step back and try to de-escalate the situation instead of throwing gasoline on the fire after being told to stop.
I consider you one of the veteran, and therefore wiser, members, which is exactly why I expect you to act more responsibly and intelligently.

If this bickering and mutual provocation doesn't stop, I'll have no choice but to ban one or both of you from the F1 subforum entirely.
The Paddock will reopen once we settle the ground rules. 😉), so yeah, that kind of behavior that usually gets a free pass? It’s definitely going to get sanctioned from now on. The Paddock isn't some lawless wasteland where you can just do whatever you want anymore.

And take this warning seriously—especially you, maminho.
Since Jason Campbell70 is playing strictly by the book right now and isn't poking the bear—not even you—you might want to try acting exactly like him for once.🙂

darkmarlin16 said:Look how this guy talks to me in the Championship thread. It’s basically "you’re an idiot and I’m not messing with you." If he’s actually stepped up to be the Host, he needs to be here to actually fix things constructively without all the petty jabs and constant provocations.

He doesn't have anything to solve. You created these problems yourself—for yourself, for him, for us moderators, and for everyone else playing.

And stop acting confused like you don't know the rules. These have been the rules for four years in a competition that *you* suggested and led first. You even helped write them.
Worst part? They’re clearly listed on the very first page of the thread. I literally explained that exact rule about teammates to you about ten days ago because you asked me the same damn thing you're asking the Host now.🙂

And don't even start with me about checking your IP addresses.
If it turns out Karl is just your clone, there’s no debate: Karl gets a permanent ban, and you get at least a 7-day ban.
That’s standard procedure, and it’s right there in the F1 subforum rules.
mistybear87 said:Special Rules:
Rules regarding all competitions on the subforum

Given some past issues with the competitions, here are a few additions to the subforum rules:

1. Any competitor using both their original nickname and a clone in the same competition will be punished with a 7-day ban (or more) on their original account and a permanent ban for the clone.

Look, if it turns out Karl is your clone, you’re almost certainly getting banned from the F1 section too. Honestly, I'm fed up with you forcing people to laugh at you or making them want to mock and insult you.
Otherwise, I'd end up having to punish everyone else just because of the nonsense you post that makes everyone look ridiculous.

stormybadger8 said:It was never an issue discussing anything in the Paddock—not sports, wolves, clothes, kitchens, cats, food, or drinks.
But we aren't talking about sports here. We are talking about constant provocation and trolling.
I’m talking about certain sports fans who write exclusively to trash one specific team and its players,
while simultaneously failing to post a single positive word about any club, athlete, or anything related to sports
, and they always target the exact team that this user has a long history of arguing with over the F1 threads.
That is blatant provocation and trolling, plain and simple. Just because it's a chat thread doesn't mean everything goes.

And what about those people in constructive threads who constantly call Fernando Alonso a crybaby, even though it's obvious Alonso has a massive fanbase?

Some guy pops up out of nowhere and, regarding the upcoming UK Grand Prix, writes "Come on Michael, break a leg." The post gets reported—the moderators don't react.
I send the link to the moderator—no reaction.

Yet, a sarcastic comment like "Williams is super fast through the pits" (in a situation where the Williams car was being pushed along the pit lane) instantly earns a red card (from the Williams fans, naturally).

Clear double standards. And intentional ones at that.

By the way, nobody comments on that moderator asking, "Hey Jason Campbell70, why are you being such a total idiot???" 😉

You say the situation on the Formula 1 subforum has improved over the last few days.
The only change is that the Paddock is closed.
I hope it stays that way.

There's no mindless chatter, no posts about wolves, shoes, or sports.

There are far fewer posts, but they are all about Formula 1, and the discussions are higher quality.

After all, people should come to the Formula 1 subforum for Formula 1, not to chat about wolves, shoes, sports, or anything else. Don't we agree?

For chatting, there is the "socializing & coffee" subforum. Or "offtopic."

No Paddock, no problems.
As for other issues—where are they? They are in the race threads.

Remove that from the subforum, and the problem is solved.
Fewer posts, but they will all pertain to Formula 1. 🙂

He's exhausting, truly. But there's no malice in him.😉

Oh, I see. If you add a smiley face at the end, it isn't an insult anymore.

That's just not true, people are actually debating it. I won't deny there's been talk about total amputation, but man, I'm seriously hoping they don't go down that road. Fingers crossed that isn't the final call.

@Jason Campbell70/">@@Jason Campbell70 since you decided to quote me..

Do you really want to go down the rabbit hole of discussing all five hundred bans God himself handed out to you? Or maybe just the ones from other mods back when I wasn't even a mod here,
and should we dive into every single one of your report submissions and PMs sent to the staff, specifically those you sent to the F1 subforum before my time,
or am I supposed to just guess what you were whining about in private messages to every moderator on the board?

What are you even talking about? What does any of this have to do with me, your bans, this thread, or anything else for that matter? 😕

And that "crybaby" comment actually gave me a good laugh. 🤣
The first time I ever read the term "crybaby," it was gaynando calling some "auntie" on an F1 PDF who was complaining about one of them. 🙏🤣

But sure, it’s totally fine to use terms like "piece of crap driver," "dickhead driver," "ugly," "black," "chocolate," "idiot," "wimp," or "whiny brat" whenever you feel like it regarding Hamilton, Vettel, Button, and the rest, right?
You, the same person who spent years calling Alonso basically every name in the book, now suddenly find yourself standing on some high moral ground lecturing people about double standards. 🙏🤣
It’s hilarious how you think it’s perfectly okay—actually necessary—to insult Vettel, Hamilton, and Button in race threads, but if someone calls Alonso a crybaby, it’s a national tragedy.
Of course, that’s only true as long as that person isn't Jason Campbell70. If it's him, then anything goes. 😁

Oh, and it’s funny how there’s never an issue with "competitions," only with "competition"—and only in the specific game you play, and only when playing against your daddy.
Funny how there aren't any issues with the other games daddy plays, since you aren't playing them.
Really interesting...

As far as I'm concerned, arguing about who gave you what ban in which year—when it wasn't even me—is a massive waste of my time.
So, you and I are done talking about this in this thread. ☕
I've said my piece in the previous posts and I don't have anything left to add.

stormybadger8 said:Considering all those hundreds of warnings you've racked up, how many different moderators
gave them to you?

You are intentionally spreading falsehoods just to give your claims some weight.
So—you're lying.

Nothing new here. This style of "arguing" is something we've seen plenty of times on these boards.

stormybadger8 said:The person I first read that specific slur from, "gaynando", is now complaining about one of them on the F1 PDF.🙏🤣

And yet, terms like "garbage driver," "useless driver," "dark," "chocolate," "idiot," "crybaby," or "whiny brat" don't bother you when you use them regularly for Hamilton, Vettel, Button, and so on?

Once again, you're glossing over obvious facts just to make your statements seem more credible.

Take the term you linked, for example.
As you can clearly see, that controversial post is four years old.
A lot has changed since then, primarily in how I participate in discussions on the Formula 1 subforum.
In the meantime, I served my two-year permanent ban and returned as a fully rehabilitated user—more than that, actually.
I am one of the most active users engaged in constructive debates within the Formula 1 subforum.

Also, you claim that "garbage driver," "useless driver," "dark," "chocolate," "idiot," "crybaby," and "whiny brat" are terms I routinely use for Hamilton, Vettel, and Button?

Can you provide an example where this is visible? Specifically, a few posts that demonstrate a pattern of using such language.
If you manage to find them—and I mean posts that aren't four years old like your example above, and posts that undeniably show an intent to insult and provoke fans of those drivers—I will personally ask to be banned for at least three days.

By the way, I have never used the term "black." So, once again, you are lying.

That specific term was used on several occasions by the user Joža Bistranski, and after complaints from other users, mistybear87 explicitly stated that double standards would be applied if anyone used that term.

In fact, while digging through old posts, I stumbled upon this:

Of course, as much as the term "chocolate" might have seemed harmless to me, I fully accept the warning I received shortly after.
I regret how I handled things. There was honestly no ill intent behind those comments, and frankly, mentioning that driver has actually become one of my favorites.

But here’s the interesting part—mistybear87 didn't even react to
Man, just go get lost, you absolute idiot 🤮

For the record, post was directed at me.

And mistybear87 definitely saw it.

My bad, it wasn't five hundred. I was just eyeballing it.🙈
There’s probably around a hundred, give or take. I didn't bother checking the exact number since the math isn't really the point of my sentence.
It’s not like I have nothing better to do than dig up everything you've done over your five or six years on this forum.

The whole point is this: if you got a ban from Sep at any point, go talk to Sep and ask him why.
Same goes for any of those hundred bans I didn't personally hand out.😳
I don't owe you an explanation for every single strike you've taken unless I was the one who gave it to you.😉

If you have beef with Sep, take it up with him, not me—here or anywhere else.
Especially regarding bans from back when I wasn't even a moderator for NASCAR, or reports and PMs you sent people while I wasn't on the mod team.
And definitely not for posts I didn't write or things I had zero power to moderate.
Yet here you are, stubbornly dragging those old bans and posts into this argument about *my* moderation, expecting me to answer for them.

I moderated the NASCAR section from November 2010 to April 2011, then again from November 2011 until now. Given how much you guys have been riding me lately, it looks like I won't even hit the five-month mark this time around.🙄
I am honestly fed up with all this nonsense, especially your obsession with bans from God knows what year.🤦

As for your "constructive" posts, unfortunately, they were mostly outnumbered by the trolls until a few days ago.
Thankfully, the situation has shifted completely, which was actually a pleasant surprise.🙂

But until just a couple of days ago, they usually looked like this:

I honestly don't get why people act like this is some massive, world-shaking scandal. It’s just how things work sometimes. You expect perfection, you get reality, and then you act shocked when it happens. Honestly, I'm just here for the chaos at this point.
I'm telling you, it’s just common sense. If you want to win, you need the right setup. You can't just show up and hope for the best. It takes work, actual strategy, and someone who knows what they're doing behind the wheel. People love to complain, but they rarely understand the grit required at this level. Honestly, some of these takes are just embarrassing.
I honestly can't believe I fell for that. I actually sat there thinking, "Yeah, this makes total sense," like some kind of amateur. It’s embarrassing, really. I should know better by now, but apparently, my brain decides to take a vacation right when I need it most. Lesson learned, I guess. Next time, I'll try to use at least half a brain cell before jumping to conclusions.
I honestly don't get why people are making such a big deal out of this. It’s just one race. You win some, you lose some. If you think one bad result defines an entire season, you probably shouldn't be watching sports. It's not that deep. Get over it already.
I don't care what anyone says, I'm still convinced that even if you gave them the best car on the grid, they'd find a way to mess it up. It’s almost impressive how consistently mediocre they can be. Honestly, at this point, I'm just waiting for the inevitable disaster so I can say "I told you so."
I don't know about you guys, but I’ve been staring at this for an hour and I still don't get it. It feels like we're just circling the drain at this point. Honestly, if this keeps up, I might just pack it in. Is anyone else actually seeing anything here, or am I just losing my mind?
I'm just saying, if you think that driver is actually going to win anything this season, you’re dreaming. It’s honestly kind of hilarious watching people defend him like he's some kind of legend. He’s mediocre at best. Let's be real.
I don't know about you guys, but I’m still trying to wrap my head around how we even got here. It feels like we're just spinning our wheels at this point. Honestly, it’s kind of ridiculous.
I honestly don't get why people act like this is some massive revelation. It’s common sense. We've seen this pattern before, and pretending otherwise is just exhausting. Honestly, if you're still surprised by this, you probably haven't been paying attention at all. Typical.
I’ve seen some ridiculous takes in my time, but this one really takes the cake. Honestly, I can't even begin to wrap my head around how someone could be this delusional. It's almost impressive, in a tragic sort of way. Seriously, pull it together.
I honestly don't get why people make such a big deal out of this. It’s just a sport. You win some, you lose some. People act like every race is some life-or-death struggle, but it’s really not that deep. Honestly, if you're looking for high drama, go watch a soap opera. This is just cars going fast in circles. Stop overanalyzing everything.
I don't know about you guys, but I’m genuinely baffled. It feels like we’re just circling the drain at this point. Everyone’s talking in circles, acting like they have some grand insight, but honestly? It’s all just noise. We’re basically watching a slow-motion train wreck and pretending it’s high art. Total nonsense.
I honestly don't get people who think they can just jump into a debate about racing without knowing the basics. It's like walking into a high-stakes poker game at a Vegas casino thinking you're an expert because you watched a movie once. You’re just making yourself look ridiculous. And then there’s stormybadger8, acting like they have all the answers. Look, I’m no expert either—clearly, my takes are questionable—but even I can see when someone is completely off base. Let's just stick to the facts and stop pretending we're all seasoned pros here.
I honestly don't get why people act like this is some massive revelation. It’s basic logic. You can complain all you want about how things are run, but at the end of the day, the results speak for themselves. If the system works, it works. Stop overthinking it and just deal with it.
I can't believe people actually fall for this stuff. It’s honestly embarrassing. You see these "experts" on TV acting like they've figured out the universe, and everyone just nods along. Please. I've seen more logic in a bowl of alphabet soup. If you actually believe what they're selling, you're beyond help. Honestly, I should probably stop posting here if this is the level of discourse we're dealing with. My mistake for expecting better.
I honestly don't get why people act like this is some massive, earth-shattering scandal. It’s just how things work. You expect everyone to be shocked, but honestly? I'm not surprised at all. People love to complain, but they rarely offer anything better. Typical.
I don't know how anyone can actually enjoy watching racing when there’s zero drama. It’s basically just expensive cars driving in circles while everyone waits for someone to screw up. Honestly, if you find this stuff thrilling, you might need to get out more. Or maybe I'm just broken. Who knows.
I honestly don't get why people act like this is some massive revelation. It’s basic math, really. You can talk about "strategy" all you want, but if your car is a rolling dumpster fire, no amount of pit stop wizardry is going to save you. It’s just physics. At a certain point, you have to stop pretending that a genius driver can overcome a complete lack of horsepower. It's embarrassing to watch.

Just some random posts pulled from two different threads. Fresh topics from this year's Malaysian and Australian Grands Prix that aren't just the usual chat threads.I'm not even going to bother looking through that paddock. You clearly treated it like a free-for-all zone where anything goes, and honestly, I have zero interest.
And then you start lecturing everyone else about using trashy language and baiting fans. Real classy.

Just because you've been acting like a saint on this NASCAR forum the last few days doesn't mean you suddenly became an angel overnight.😉
Looking at the Bahrain Grand Prix thread right now, it’s night and day compared to what we saw in Malaysia or Australia.
You can't really call people out for stuff they did days, months, or even years ago when you've been doing the exact same thing yourself—and not just once, either.

Look, you want me to go hunting through this entire PDF for every single post and expression? No way. I have zero intention of doing that, I’m definitely not digging through every random thread, and quite frankly, I don't have the time for that kind of nonsense.

Look, I clearly have zero interest in banning you, as you can see. It’s pretty obvious I’m not out to kick you off for every little thing either—all those posts above went by without a single strike.
You get flagged here if you start overreacting just to play the victim, and then you have the nerve to take the drama to my DMs.

Yeah, I’ll give you that—your wording is way classier now. There's a massive shift, and honestly, you’re acting a hell of a lot more civilized than you were a few years back.
But let's be real: it was painfully obvious for a long time how much you loved throwing cheap shots and toxic jabs at other fans.
Look, I’ll say it again: right now, you’re one of the best on the NASCAR forums and you aren't doing that anymore. Please, just keep this energy up.🙂

Whatever happened in the past is in the past. Just keep writing like this—stick to this polished NASCAR style and you’ll save me, yourself, and everyone else from these exhausting arguments.

P.S. I seriously don't have the patience or the desire to deal with your endless lectures about whatever random penalties happened back in the stone age.
And constantly dragging that into our discussions feels like a cheap provocation to me, because you keep hijacking the topic to talk about stuff that has zero to do with me.
It’s not the first time you’ve done this, and you aren't just doing it to me.
If you want to obsess over September's penalties, go start a whole new thread about them and argue with September there.☕

As for me, I have absolutely no intention of reading this thread or replying to it ever again.☕
