Can I change my username? :S

I’d "really love" if someone could change my username... any kind souls out there? 🙂

EDIT: Reason—I've had this account since 2010 and it's the only place I still have this handle... I want something people can actually recognize me by—plus, the capitalization and that asterisk at the end are driving me crazy -.- So, yeah... anyone available to help? please

Can someone please point me toward whoever can actually help me change my username? I’ve been firing off emails to the Administrator, but honestly, it’s just radio silence on this end. Not exactly the best look for customer service, you know? I really want to jump into some of the discussions and get involved, but I'm stuck because of this handle. I've been trying to DIY a fix for days now, but no luck. I even thought about just making a whole new account, but that's clearly not an option either.

2. You are more than welcome to jump into various discussions or threads around the forum; after all, you just wrote a post where your current handle and active participation are quite clearly visible.
3. I suppose the most practical move might be to simply register again under a different username, especially since you've only just signed up with this one. 😉

Well, thanks to you and rustydrifter10 for the help. Though, I guess I ended up finding all those tips myself anyway after spending days scouring the site, hoping I could figure something out since nobody was getting back to me. It's been a bit of a ghost town, honestly. Anyway, I really need to change my handle if I'm going to actually join in on the threads I care about. But apparently, the only way is to email the Administrator and just... wait? And they aren't responding. I tried to just make a new account, but the system won't let me. It's frustrating, I guess.

Maybe just log out and sign up again using a different email address—not the one you used for this account.

But hey, if you're really set on keeping that specific email, you could always head into your settings, swap the email linked to this nickname, and then log back in with a brand-new handle instead.

The reason you aren't hearing back via email is that it isn't used for that sort of thing; you have to send a PM (Private Message—it's right there under the username, top right corner). As for the staff, we have rustydrifter10, Daniel Ward87, and Tyndall. It's actually Tyndall who handles the nickname changes (or something along those lines), but the standard procedure requires you to first visit the thread (Nickname Change <--- click here), which is how things are officially done.

That's all assuming you can't just start over, though you really should be able to register a fresh account with a new name without any issues.

Thanks for all the help, everyone. I’m gonna head out and try to actually build something now. If it works, cool—if it doesn't, well, I guess I won't be bugging you guys anymore.
