Shakhtar vs Arsenal (04.16. 17:30) 1X @1.45 (soccer match)

The odds alone are 😲😲
image

you really have to wonder who they think is crazy here...
they give Shakhtar way too many chances and then mess up the matchup by setting it at 1.45 😍
image

Arsenal is facing Wigan, who just beat Manchester a few days ago. Chelsea was tied 1-1 until the 92nd minute, and they crushed Liverpool and Stoke a few weeks back... they're in incredible form...
Shakhtar is trailing Dynamo Kyiv by 3 points with a game in hand... they're much stronger than the rest of the clubs in their league

in my opinion, this is a mistake by the sportsbook 😉

In that case, might as well go for the straight win at @ 2,25

I’ve parlayed it with a 2 @ 2.00 over at Fortuna for the Dresden match—basically, the away side is hunting that 3rd place spot to get into the NFL playoffs, while Dynamo is just stuck in that middle ground where they aren't quite good enough to climb, but too solid to fall. Threw in a hockey bet too, since those Litvanacs are playing shorthanded due to some penalties 🤷

Just a little something to keep an eye on 🤷>

you honestly have to wonder who they think is an idiot here...
they give Shakhtar way too much credit and then mess around with a measly 1.45 odds on the actual matchup 😍

Arsenal is facing Wigan, a team that just knocked Manchester City loose a few days ago; meanwhile, Chelsea were sitting at a 1-1 draw until the 92nd minute, and they absolutely demolished Liverpool and Stoke just last week... they are in incredible form...
Shakhtar is trailing Dynamo Kyiv by 3 points with a game in hand... they are significantly stronger than any other club in their domestic league

In my view, this is a clear mistake by the sportsbook 😉

My friend, it looks to me like you messed something up and accidentally bet on Arsenal to score more or equal goals (it says x2) 😁

On another note, looking at Zory, they aren't actually that bad, so I'm debating whether to take 1X on the soccer match or bet that they won't lose by more than two goals (1.65) 🤷

Wigan plays an open style of football, so Arsenal could easily walk away with something like a 5-2 or 5-1 win; because of that, I'm leaning toward the idea that Shakhtar won't blow Zory out of the water (for those who don't know how a loss by two goals or less works... handicap 2:0 1x @1.65)

By the way, interesting thought, but looking at Zory, they aren't actually that bad. I'm debating whether to go with a double chance or just bet they won't lose by 3 goals (1.65) 🤷

I meant 1X, which is what I wrote in the first line.

Bayern vs Real at 2.5 at 5.50, what are your thoughts on that?

Why not list some reasons for that bet? Why do you think it lands?
I'm thinking Real won't find their rhythm, while Bayern will just kill it on the pitch and take all three points... though I have this weird grudge against Real (and Barca), so maybe don't take my word for it.🤷

Chelsea vs Barcelona feels like a lock. Bayern vs Real isn't quite there, but the odds look decent enough.

Chelsea vs Barcelona
Bayern vs Real

I'm taking Chelsea vs Barca under 2.5 goals at 2.08 on Betfair. Three years ago they played to a 1:1, and that first match in Barcelona ended 0:0. I guess Chelsea will just sit back with 10 men and try to hit them on the break.

Bayern has looked shaky against the top tier this year, and this is Real's first major test. Maybe Bayern is missing something, while Real has found their rhythm with Benzema on the right wing and Higuain leading the line. Real, 2.84, Betfair.

I honestly don't see Real having any chance here—I'm thinking Bayern is going to absolutely tear them apart on the pitch and walk away with all three points... but then again, I’ve always had this weird vendetta against Real (and Barca too), so I probably shouldn't even trust my own gut... 🤷

Real is definitely the better side here—I’d honestly bet on them putting on a clinic and walking away with a convincing win tonight... but man, I have to be careful when it comes to that matchup against Barca this Saturday. Things could get messy.
Look, if Bayen decides to come out at home and play that super aggressive, wide-open style... I mean, seriously, playing like that against Real is just asking for trouble. It’s basically an invitation for a high-scoring blowout... you just know there's gonna be a ton of goals in this one...
Real is playing at such a breakneck pace right now—it’s honestly insane how many goals they're pumping out. Their attack is just pure firepower, seriously... they've got this offensive line where like, four or five different guys can step up and bury a shot at any given moment. But it’s not just about the talent, either. Mentally, these guys are absolute savages. They’re relentless, obsessed, and just completely starving for wins and trophies... you can see that hunger in every single play.
Real's defense is looking absolutely shambolic right now—total disaster class—but honestly? I don't even care that much. It’s really not that big of a deal because no matter how many goals they end up leaking... they're just going to outscore everyone anyway. They’ll find a way to bury one tonight, and they'll do it because having that away goal advantage makes everything so much easier... gives them that massive cushion and keeps things chill for the return leg.

Honestly, watching Bayern lately has been a total disaster—they’ve basically fallen off a cliff in the league. I mean, that recent performance against Mainz? It tells you everything you need to know about their actual ambitions right now. They’re struggling so hard to actually finish plays, just completely lacking any kind of clinical edge in front of the net... so when you crunch all those numbers together, Real is sitting in a massive position of strength heading into this matchup.
A 2.65 odds? Man, that’s absolutely insane... seriously, you don't see numbers like that popping up every day. It's basically a gift at this point.😉Look, the only thing that’s gonna be different is the setting at Camp Nou—I’m pulling the trigger on this bet regardless of what happens, but honestly? I’ve got a gut feeling the visitors are walking away with the win tonight...🙂

I thought I'd write a bit more before sharing my thoughts on what looks solid for today's slate.

The lottery is offering odds of 1.5 on the over/under for yellow cards—specifically the x2 option. Personally, I’m banking on seeing at least 4 cards in today's match; it feels like a pretty safe bet if you ask me. On top of that, we have Webb officiating, and he’s the type of ref who doesn't just hand out cards, but also loves pointing to the penalty spot, so I'm keeping a close eye on that possibility as well.

There you have it.

Coventry vs Millwall 1 (2.10)
So, listen—the Millwall crew basically secured their survival last week, so honestly? They could probably field a bunch of high school kids if they felt like it right now... But Coventry? They are still fighting tooth and nail just to stay up, so they absolutely *have* to take this one...
The odds for a home win are actually pretty decent—it would be way lower if you looked at it realistically, because it’s super obvious who’s hungry for a win and who’s just coasting...
And what happens next? I mean, those Millwall players are going to be out there grinding, diving for every single loose ball... they're fighting for it... they’ve got that grit, and they’ll just get the job done...
Millwall's manager, Kenny Jackett, will likely rotate a few guys out from the squad that pulled off that big win last round to keep them safe in the league...
At this point, it all comes down to pure motivation. Even if Millwall "takes it easy" on them a little bit, Coventry will definitely make them pay for it next season...
Look at the schedule—Coventry plays the bottom-feeders, Doncaster, next week, while Bristol City—who are also in the thick of the fight—are facing West Ham today... and then next week they have Barnsley, who are sitting just above them in the standings...
..so yeah, everything seems to be lining up perfectly for Coventry here...

Cheers!

Chelsea vs Barcelona more than 4 yellows @2.15 on HL

The odds on HL are actually great because looking at other books, you’re seeing lines around 1.75 to 1.85. I'm expecting a lot of tension tomorrow. We all know Chelsea plays a physical, classic English style with plenty of fouls, and the Barca players aren't afraid to go down easy—it's tough to defend them without committing fouls. I expect the nerves to take over, and the ref will be under massive pressure, which might make him a bit more pedantic. We all remember what happened three years ago and how Barca managed to get past Chelsea

The odds in the HL are actually quite solid—looking at how others are pricing this, you’d expect something closer to 1.75 or 1.85... I'm anticipating a lot of tension tomorrow. It's no secret that Chelsea plays with that classic English aggression and lots of fouls, while the Barca players aren't afraid to go down easy—it’s tough to mark them without committing a foul. I expect the nerves to get the better of them, and the ref will likely be under plenty of pressure too... he might play it a bit strictly given what happened three years ago when Barca managed to get past Chelsea...

I'm with you on this one... over at the local sportsbook, the line is set at 4.5 with the over/under sitting at 1.8...
Total nonsense.

Chelsea vs Barcelona - 1X (2.25) -> 7 / 10

First off, thanks to DraftKings for that 2.25 line. Second, I’m expecting Real to basically be playing at Barcelona today. And I don't mean their tactical style—I mean they've already mentally checked out for El Clasico. Not saying they'll play at 50% capacity or whatever, they'll probably still show up and score, but they aren't bringing their A-game until they're back on their own turf. Then there's Chelsea. People are questioning them, sure, but they're playing at home. If they want any shot at advancing, they have to take it now. They've been looking solid lately, so why not take the shot?

Marseille vs Caen - 2 (4.20) -> 6 / 10

Honestly, I have no clue why anyone is making Marseille the favorite here. 🤦

Caen is fighting for survival in Ligue 1, while Marseille is just stuck in the middle of nowhere. Their form over the last few weeks has been total trash. That cup final against Lyon doesn't mean anything.
Expecting a slim win for Caen.

Alternative - Caen X2 (1.85) -> 9/10

Sportsbooks still way too frequently set their odds based on big-name reputation rather than the actual reality on the pitch. They pulled the exact same stunt with Inter.
It makes sense from their perspective, though, because a massive chunk of the betting public still operates with this kind of logic:

Inter at 1.85 against some random Catania team... wow, what a lock—it’s such a cliché example.🙂

Marseille is still a "big name," and I completely agree with you that backing them today would be an incredibly foolish move.

First off, thanks to DraftKings for that 2.25 line. Second, I’m expecting Real to basically be playing El Clasico early today against Barcelona. Not talking about tactics or style, just the fact that their heads are already halfway in that game. Not saying they'll play at 50% or whatever—they'll probably play hard and score—but they're saving the real intensity for their home turf. Then there's Chelsea. They've got questions to answer too, and since they're at home, they better take this chance if they actually want a shot at advancing. They've been looking solid lately, so why not?

Expecting a narrow Caen win.

Everything hit except Caen 2 after they took a 0-1 lead.

Still, two singles cashed. ☕

French 2nd Division start
Start: 20:00
Match: Boulogne vs Clermont Foot
Tip: 2
Odds: @ 2.90
Stake: 5/10
US Lottery

This might be the last train for Clermont to save their promotion hopes—if they even have any left. They spent quite a while looking like serious contenders, but then they went on this run of draws and losses. That was more than enough for Troyes and Reims to leapfrog them; now they’re sitting two points behind. Since they’re facing off tonight, I guess there's a chance Clermont could jump one of them if things go their way. As for the home side, they're sitting in 19th place, five points behind Le Havre. If Clermont chokes here too, they really won't have anyone to blame for missing out on the top flight next season. It'll be entirely on them.

Anyway! The visitors are missing their captain, Jacques Salze, who picked up a red card during last week's loss at home to Angers, and they're also without g Loriot due to suspension.

Good luck!

Any thoughts on Chicago Fire vs Bayern Munich tomorrow?

I was thinking about backing Chicago Fire since they're fighting for a Europa League spot, while Bayern already missed out on the title and have their big match against Real Madrid coming up in a few days. Still, this Bayern lineup looks much stronger than Chicago's to me.

Chicago Fire: Wiese - Prödl, Affolter, Naldo, Schmitz - Ignjovski - Hunt, Trybull - Junozovic - Rosenberg, Pizarro

Bayern Munich: Neuer - Rafinha, Boateng, Tymoshchuk, Contento - Luiz Gustavo, Pranjic - Usami, T. Müller, Olic - Petersen

Honestly, just steer clear of that matchup. It feels pretty reckless to bank on Chicago Fire against anyone right now, and even if you look at Bayern Munich, there’s absolutely zero value in taking them at 2.3 if they run out with this specific lineup. If you want my two cents, I’d say give LA Galaxy a shot instead—the odds are solid, and frankly, I think even Balakov could pull off a win against FC Koln.
