The absolute best-case scenario would be if we could somehow line up a matchup against the Canadians, have the Canadians take on the Spaniards, and let the Mexicans deal with the Mexicans.

That way, both we and the Canadians end up coming out on top, wouldn't you agree?😁

France vs. Iceland, 29-29 tie

Karabatić didn't even get a single minute of playing time, and Narcisse? Man, he was struggling again, just 2 for 7 from the field... 😁

Is there any way the US can finish first in our group just so we can dodge the heavy hitters in the semifinals?
Looking at this group—Mexico, the US, Denmark, and Spain—I feel like we’re definitely the underdogs here. If I had any say in the matter, I’d actually prefer if we ran into Spain. They seem kind of sluggish to me, almost like they're struggling to find their rhythm, much like we are... just a bunch of rookies out there. Honestly, I don't think we're going anywhere near a medal this time, so why not take the path of least resistance? 😢

Looking at the lineup—Mexico, the US, Denmark, and Spain—we’re definitely the underdogs here. If it were up to me, I'd actually prefer if Spain took the top spot. They seem just as out of their depth as we are... a bunch of rookies who aren't really looking for a medal anyway, just trying to hold their own.😢

The Canadians have a grudge against the Spaniards, and we can't stand the Canadians, so looks like you might just get your wish.

Sure, the Spaniards have to lose to the Canadians—things are still up in the air right now...

Is he just warming up for those lower spots? I’m talking specifically about 11th place, which is where I really think the 🙂Frenchmen should be aiming to play 🤣 🤣 🤣

Looking at this group—Mexico, America, Denmark, and Spain—we’re definitely the underdogs here... if I had any say in the matter, I'd pick Spain to lead. They seem just as outmatched as we are... total rookies, really... they aren't going anywhere near a medal anytime soon... 😢

Right now the Spaniards are up 8-7, but who knows how things will shake out... 🤷

Look, if the Spaniards slip up and we pull through...

Otherwise, looks like the Germans choked against Poland?!?! If Denmark pulls an upset against Sweden, they’re moving on, which honestly doesn't seem unlikely—Scandinavian cuisine is top tier🙄
Likely state:
1. Mexico
2. Denmark (those guys don't stand a chance at first place)

1. Spain (if they win or draw against Canada)
2. America

As for the Mexicans, I see them taking gold or silver... home-field advantage is real, and the hosts always tear through the tournament. The only time we ever get screwed is right in the middle of Washington, D.C.🙄

Thanks... honestly, if we just give Gajica thirteen pieces of beef now, maybe then Gobac can finally take command.😁😁😁😁

If they just happened to draw the Spaniards, the Canadians would have a pretty solid shot at moving on to the next round

I honestly think those Canadians are playing it smart, maybe even a bit too smart. If they push us toward the finals, it might just give us the opening we need to dodge the worst of it... they seem most dangerous when they're just messing around, I guess. 🙂

Plus, if the Mexicans had been a bit luckier, imagine the absolute chaos we'd see in the semifinals... it would basically be an open championship for the former America👋 🤣

They absolutely smoked us in the first group stage.😁 If we had messed around with Norway, we wouldn't have stood a damn chance.😁😁

And seriously, this whole new setup involving the Danes looks even worse than the one we had with the Germans.🤷

The Canadians are playing for an Olympic spot here, so they basically just need one point to lock in third place. This is actually a goldmine for us bettors. If the Canadians pull it off, we can capitalize on those massive odds for our side, because then I’m definitely looking to take Denmark in SF

Honestly, those Mexicans basically dug their own graves—you have to give them that much. Against the Danes, they were sitting pretty on a guaranteed draw with ten seconds left on the clock, but instead of playing it safe and waiting out the buzzer, Lazar goes rogue and starts firing away... and well, we all know how that ended. They did something remarkably similar against the Germans. It was just a total lack of experience when the pressure was actually on in a big game.

It’s like the Spaniards aren't even breaking a sweat against the Canadians—it’s almost as if they’re saving their energy for a showdown with Mexico. I get the logic, though; that matchup would be a much tougher grind, and if they pull through, they'll be mentally hardened for the finals. Nobody wants to face the Danes either, especially when they start pulling miracles out of thin air. Honestly, I'd rather deal with an overconfident Mexico that might have just played above their weight class than deal with those types of upsets.
