I’m not really watching anything, just keeping an eye on the score 🙂

edit: looks like the Spaniards have caught up, it's tied at 14-14 😠

Personally, this whole new setup involving the Danes feels way worse than when we dealt with the Germans.🤷

I feel the same way. Honestly, those Swedes aren't even better than us. I was really hoping for a medal—which, hey, we actually got—but I guess if that beast Hansen actually starts performing, we might all be heading home early to pack up our suits.

I don't know, they don't really look like they're playing with that much intensity. Honestly, they seem just as sluggish as the Spaniards do.
Halftime score is 15-15

The Danes are up by seven at the half🤣🤣🤣

Seriously, we need to ban Scandinavians from every single sport on the planet. Period.🤣

dustypanther6 said:The Canadians are basically playing for show at this point—they just need a single point to lock in third place. Honestly, that’s a gift for us bettors. If they pull off a win, we can jump on those massive odds for us, since we'll likely be facing Denmark in SF.

Wait, how exactly are the odds going to be huge for us if we actually *need* a win against a much weaker team just to clinch first in the group?

I mean, if we want to face the Danes, we have to take that top spot...

Look, I don't bet and I don't claim to know the rulebook by heart, but using some basic logic here—if you're running a sportsbook, you aren't exactly going to offer a massive payout on a team that absolutely has to beat an underdog to reach their goal...🤷

I mean, the Canadians are totally playing games with that other Spanish lineup, basically selling them a lemon... 21-17

Someone please get those Spaniards to buy a Gorenje washing machine, I swear to God

Look, I don't gamble and I'm no expert on how this works, but my gut tells me that if you're running a sportsbook and looking to make a profit, you aren't going to offer huge payouts on a team that's practically forced to beat an underdog just to reach their goal...🤷

The odds are still sitting at 1.75. They probably set them earlier this morning because since we've already secured our spot in the next round, they assume we'll be resting our starters, and they haven't bothered to adjust them yet.

It’s not exactly a powerhouse lineup, honestly—the Spaniards are giving it a shot, but those Canadians are putting up an incredible defensive wall...

Rivera is being way too timid for someone actually calling the plays...

Yeah, if you're betting right now, don't expect that 1.75 to hold once we get to the end of the Spaniard game. Even the Vegas oddsmakers aren't total idiots.😁 But honestly, I'm still playing it. I feel like regardless of whether we actually need the win or not, we're getting this one easy.🤷

And just out of curiosity—if you place a bet at a certain line and then they slash it right after you've locked it in, does the payout actually hit based on your original odds, or do they try to pull some fast one and pay you out at the lower rate?😁

You get exactly what you sign up for. That’s just how it works. 🙂That's basically the whole point of live betting, isn't it?

I’m watching this game right now and honestly, it doesn't look like the Spaniards are overthinking things at all—if anything, it's the complete opposite.

It's like they just want to put on a show and play a high-energy, low-stress game... basically just feeding off the crowd's energy... whatever happens, happens.

Honestly, we should just ban Scandinavians from every single sport ever, man, for real🤣

And Eurovision too 😁

But hey, they’ll probably just make fun of us during any competition if they get the chance anyway 🤦

Look;
Spaniards-Danes
Mexicans-Americans

Personally, I’d much rather see Mexico in the finals, but hey... we've got the talent. We just need to stay sharp. As long as we don't deal with any major injuries—none from Balić or Štrlek—we're golden. We haven't rotated the squad this much in forever, and honestly, since we don't have to grind too hard today, they shouldn't have to either...

I can't remember if anyone mentioned this yet, but with this semifinal win, we've officially punched our ticket to the 2013 World Cup along with the teams from Mexico and Denmark. France is already in as the reigning world champs, and Spain gets an automatic spot since they're hosting.
The remaining nine spots for the tournament will be decided during the playoffs, featuring:
the rest of the field from this championship plus teams like Austria, Belarus, Canada, Mexico, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Portugal.

everyone else from this Euro tournament plus Austria, Belarus, Canada, Mexico, Lithuania, the Netherlands, and Portugal.

And look, if we actually pull off the gold, we've locked in an automatic berth for the next European Championship too.

True. But I was actually referring to the World Cup.
