🙂 🙂 🙂
😠 😠
I honestly have zero clue how you’d even speed this place up, let alone why it’s dragging its feet like this... but today is just straight-up ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙂

I'll probably be waiting for Godot to show up before this page actually finishes loading!!!
Switched over to my phone now, but even that’s crawling 😠.
I don't know who's pulling the strings on the technical side of things here at Reddit, but seriously, this is totally unfair and unprofessional.

Edward Young3 said:I'm totally on board with that. We really should take some action here, maybe by introducing a membership fee. If we don't, there's just no way we could ever manage all these servers and everything else needed to keep things running smoothly. 😉

I feel like I've seen this exact conversation popping up on Reddit a few times now.
So, I have a couple of questions for everyone who keeps suggesting this:
1. How much do you guys honestly think it would cost to get the kind of high-end hosting required to make a site like this absolutely fly?
2. What kind of revenue do you think Reddit actually pulls in from its ad placements?

Given how often these ideas come up, it seems like the people proposing them might believe the hosting costs actually outweigh the ad revenue. I'm just curious—what makes you all think that?

It leaves me with a few questions for anyone actually suggesting this:
1. In your estimation, how much would we need to spend on hosting just to get a forum like this running smoothly at scale?
2. What kind of ad revenue do you think a site like Reddit actually pulls in?

Given how often people pitch stuff like this, I assume the proposers think the hosting costs would somehow outweigh the ad revenue. I guess I'm just curious why they'd think that's the case?

Well, how much *is* actually required?

Speed up? For what?
Between cooking, laundry, downloading movies and music, scrolling through news sites... by the time he actually opens the thread 🙏
, I'll be dead. Don't take this away from us 🙂 😁

Please bring back the redirect to Bet at Home. 😍 I seriously should’ve just stopped playing around with it—it was so incredibly fast whenever I opened up a thread.
This current setup is just straight-up terrible.

I have been bothering my family for a few days now about how slow our internet is, especially when... 😂

Just do what I explained right here and this forum will absolutely take off. 😉

I’ve certainly picked up the pace on my own initiative 😁
Little might be small, but it still brings a man joy 🥳
