James Johnson73 said:I mean, honestly, why would we even mess with this? I feel like we should just leave it exactly how it is because, if you ask me, this current width of the forum page is easily the best it’s ever been. It just works, you know? I don't know, maybe I'm just being stubborn, but everything feels so much better now that it isn't cramped up or weirdly stretched out. It’s definitely the sweet spot.
It lines up perfectly with the width of the monitor, I guess. πŸ‘

I mean, look, if you’re strictly sticking to those old-school 4:3 CRT monitors, then sure, whatever, that worksβ€”but if you try pulling that same stunt on a modern 16:9 widescreen, you're basically asking for trouble, I guess. It just doesn't translate.

Ronald Sullivan90 said:If you're on Chrome, just grab the Stylebot extension https://chrome.google.com/webstore/d...foejpgmdaleoha and then apply this

Here's the CSS:
html body { background-color: #fff; background-image: none; }
table { width: 100%; }
div.page { width: 100%; }
div.pagenav { width: 0px; }

And if anyone prefers Stylish, you can just paste it there too.

Just a little gift for my first post! xD

Thanks! At least the forum actually looks normal again on Chrome.

I really hope I don't have to switch back to Chrome now. I already made the jump over to FF just to deal with this forum, and I’ve gone through the hassle of installing a bunch of add-ons just to make the damn thing functional. Seriously, what a complete wreck of a website... And here we are, acting like total masochists by crawling back for another dose of this nonsense. 🀣

And yet, here we are, acting like masochists by coming back for more. 🀣

The script works perfectly fine in FF without any issues. You just need to install GreaseMonkey and you're good to go.

It’s honestly not even that bad. I just zoom in to 170% and don't even have to get up from my chair to see what's popping on the forum from the hallway. 😬

And honestly, this is the part that gets to me most. πŸ™‚ It turns out that no matter what we build here, we'll still be stuck in this loopβ€”which is exactly why they keep pulling these stunts.

Just like a classic Nokia from the old days, sweet and reliable

Oh, my dear Andrew Taylor13... you've been making some seriously questionable calls for years now.
Just take a look at what his main website actually looks like. He hasn't touched the design in over a decade...

And then he has the nerve to complain about how hard it is to make money, yet he refuses to walk away from the job. Because of course, he's always been all about chasing that paycheck...

The white space surrounding everything is still a total mess πŸ™‚, but at least the stupid ads are gone and the forum layout is back to a normal width thanks to Ashley Lopez πŸ‘

I've already got GreaseMonkey set up, but I don't actually have the script itself. If you've got the link, drop it here... πŸ™‚

That’s just nonsense... having to install extra scripts on top of everything else is such a hassle...

They completely trashed it 😬

I honestly didn't give a damn about the ads or any of that crap before, but this is getting ridiculous. And what is up with this blinding white background everywhere?

I'm gonna go whip up a script so this forum actually looks decent again; I'll drop the results later.

I tried to get rid of that white mess too. Hopefully, it's gone... Or at least mostly gone... 😁 Just reinstall (or just run an update, I can't quite remember how the process works)

CSS:
html body { background-color: #fff; background-image: none;}
table { width: 100% ; }
div.page { width: 100% ;}
div.pagenav { width: 0px; }
.alt1 td, .alt1Active td { background-color: #f5f5f5; }
.alt2 td, td.alt2 { background-color: #E1E4F2; }
div.panel tbody td { background: transparent ;}
#vB_Editor_001 { background-color: #e1e1e2; }

It’s not "nonsense," it’s freaking survival gear while we wait for the admins to finally grow a brainβ€”if they ever do.😍

What on earth is this mess? πŸ™‚

By the way, any word from the admins on when we might see the new version of the forum? πŸ€”

It overwrote. Thanks. πŸ™‚

Folks, Ashley Lopez fixed the issue if you're using Chrome. 😁

Edit - any way to get those subforum titles left-aligned? On the photography section, there are two subforums and the titles are centered in the field. πŸ™‚

Time to overwrite. Thanks! πŸ™‚

Hey everyone, just a heads-upβ€”Ashley Lopez found a fix if you're running Chrome. 😁

Quick editβ€”is there any way we could get the subforum titles left-aligned? Take the "fotografija gore" section, for example. There are two subforums there, but the titles are stuck right in the middle of the field instead of being aligned to the left. πŸ™‚

I gave it a shot, but I haven't cracked the code just yet. If I manage to get it sorted, I'll let you guys know. πŸ™‚
