The Scary Movie franchise (1, 2, 3, 4, 5...)

I watched the first one a while back, and honestly, it’s a masterpiece.

Over the last month, I finally caught up on the sequels, 2 and 3. They don't quite hit the same high as the original, but they aren't total garbage either.
I'm curious about what people think of 4 and 5. Is it actually worth sitting through them? What’s the consensus?
Also, does Anna Faris show up in 4 and 5?

Dude, just so you know, Scary Movie 5 isn't even a thing. 😂 I caught the fourth one though—it actually wasn't bad. It’s basically a parody of Saw.
Super funny stuff. I've actually got it saved on my PC. They aired it on ABC back during New Year's.

Haha, there is a fifth one, which is a parody of Saw.
The fourth one is a parody of that horror flick—I can't recall the title right now—but here is a picture.

Now you guys have just gone and confused me.

So, there's 5 in Saw, 4 in that horror movie from the picture... and the picture is just a doll from Saw. Is this some kind of mind game?

I haven't watched anything since Scary Movie 2, so I honestly have no clue.

The 5th one hasn't even been filmed yet. As for the 4th, it's a parody of Saw, and this image is from that movie.

Personally, I found every single one of those films to be absolutely stellar—just pure, unadulterated gold if you're looking for a good laugh 😁

Honestly, I think pretty much all the sequels are great... even if they're total trash.

Man, I am so over Scary Movie 5—it’s got like three or four "big name" actors in it, but then you’ve got Charlie Sheen showing up in some random footage that probably won't even last two minutes. 😢

And honestly? I’m really not feeling this whole vibe where the entire movie just tries to parody Paranormal Activity. I mean, sure, you should poke fun at stuff, but having the whole plot take place in one house... it just doesn't work. It needs way more variety and actual spoofs of different horror flicks.

We waited forever for this fifth installment, and I was actually hoping we'd see some faces from the older movies, like Marlon Wayans or Anna Faris... but instead, it feels like we're just getting two identical parodies next year.

Look, I’m not saying Scary Movie 5 isn't going to be funny or that it's gonna be total garbage, but you guys know deep down it’s just not quite hitting the mark, and there's definitely a sense of disappointment there. ☕

Scary Movie 5 (2013) has some seriously bottom-of-the-barrel ratings, and honestly, almost everyone I've been chatting with lately says it's easily the worst one in the whole franchise.

A few buddies and I were actually thinking about grabbing tickets to go see it, but we ended up passing on the idea after hearing how bad it was.

Has anyone else here actually sat through it? What did you guys think?
