I’m still trying to wrap my head around how such an incredible band didn't have their own dedicated thread here... but oh well, 🙂 at least they 😍 finally
do.

They got their start back in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1996.
Their sound blends Christian rock, rock, alternative, and hard rock.

Out of their eight albums, two actually earned Grammy nominations

(in 2005, for the Grammy Award for Best Rock Gospel Album with Collide.)
(in 2007, for the Grammy Award for Best Rock & Roll Album with Comatose.)

Back in 2008, they took home some wins at the Dove Awards (Gospel Music Association), including Rock Song of the Year for their hit Comatose ...

I only listened to about six or seven tracks on YouTube a month ago, and they really stuck with me... I think it's finally time to go ahead and download their entire discography. 😁

I recently started discovering Skillet and intended to start a thread about them, but driftingbear29 beat me to it. 😁
That said, I only know a handful of their tracks, and they are all 👍 My favorite is I want to be a Hero... It's not me, it's you is perfect for venting negative emotions, One day too late is inspiring, and Monster is a great soundtrack for those bad days... Their lyrics aren't shallow, meaningless, or boring... they are simply 🙏
I definitely need to dive deeper into their discography. 🙂 The guitarist is incredible; one day I hope to shred on a Fender or a Gibson. 😬

Yeah, I was honestly wondering why such an incredible band 😍 didn't have their own thread, while some random troll over there managed to hog all the attention 🤣
But hey, that's sorted out now 😁
And regarding what you mentioned, I absolutely love their music because the lyrics actually mean something... they aren't just empty fluff, and you can really find yourself in most of their songs 🙏

Just go ahead and lurk, or better yet, fire up a torrent 😬, you won't regret it 😉

Honestly, Comatose is an absolute masterpiece 😉

Just like invincible 🙏 ... I think that one stands out because it breaks the mold compared to most of their stuff. Even though it's from the third album, it's just too good... 😍

No dedicated thread yet 😛 😁

And yeah, I could never quite pin them down as a Christian band... 😬

I was actually pretty surprised when I saw there was a thread all about Skillet, because they’re such a solid band, honestly... they really know how to nail those heavy tracks and the ballads too, just pure alternative vibes 👍

Honestly, this is easily one of the greatest bands to ever exist. Every single track they drop is a masterpiece 🙏

It’s honestly so heartwarming to see how tight-knit everyone is, especially in this video 😍
. They always seem to have their kids tagging along on tour too 🥳... those little ones are just adorable haha 😁... and one of them has the sweetest accent, it's seriously cute 🙂
