First off, I am dying to catch a Billy Joel concert! I absolutely adore him, and honestly, I haven't even made it to one of his shows yet 😢!
Next on my list: Next : Serj Tankian (I want him, I need him, it's basically a requirement 😉)
Oh, and get this—I just heard rumors that SOAD might be getting back together 🤷 So, man, seeing them live would be nothing short of legendary 😁 😁

Nevermore is hitting Vienna on October 3rd—ticket is already in my hand and I am literally counting down the seconds until showtime. 😁
Slayer & Megadeth at Madison Square Garden on April 6th—same deal, I'm beyond ready. 😁

Then there's Katatonia playing Lollapalooza this July.

Those three shows are absolute non-negotiables; I’d find a way to be there even if I were halfway in the grave. 🙂 😁

Everything else on my radar depends entirely on how life is treating me at the moment (you know, my mood, whether my bank account is screaming at me, my boss being a pain, all that jazz):

- Death Angel and Suicidal Angels at The Fillmore on March 23rd
- Blind Guardian at Boogaloo on April 28th
- Boogaloo - Primordial and Alcest in Graz on June 3rd
- Flogging Molly at Boogaloo on June 14th

And obviously, if anything else legendary pops up on the calendar, I'll be looking into it. 🥳

And I'm with them on that. 🤣

Well, a concert in some exclusive little sanctuary... honestly, never happened quite like that before. 😛 😁

Not trying to go off-topic here, but I really want to see Bad Religion.

Ahhh, Bad Religion! 😍

Man, I wanted to see them for years. I actually had a ticket for their show in Munich back in 2002, but then one of them broke their arm or something and the whole thing got postponed... and then Jose Williams78 ended up losing both the ticket and the chance to go. 🙂

But hey, I guess patience pays off eventually. Last year I finally checked that off my bucket list at Coachella. It was totally worth the money and the trip. Honestly, if they ever play somewhere nearby again, I’d be down to keep you company at the show, redmarlin3.😁

It's a deal. 😁
As for me, just being short on cash kept me from making it out to Coachella this time around...

I mean, I highly doubt you'll actually catch Dead Kennedys. From what I know, that reformed disgrace hasn't played a note without Biafra in ages... (CORRECTION: just saw they're playing again, with some newer singer... what a total karaoke joke 🙏). Were you at that Jello Biafra show at The Fillmore last year? I think that was about as close as you could get to seeing the Kennedys...

Pearl Jam always

hm, that's just what's been on my mind lately 😁

So, looking at the latest updates, it looks like Žednouhi is bringing the newest stuff to our local summer festival! Yay, I guess. 😁

No, this is the first time I've heard he was even here. 😳
But yeah, honestly, it just isn't the same.

They're coming to Chicago soon, so I'll definitely make that happen. 😍
I've seen Michael gira with Angels of light (incredible band and an amazing show), but I haven't caught Swans yet.

Same goes for Crippled Black Phoenix 😍

John Castillo2 said:Then there's also

Anthony and The Johnsons
Bruce Springsteen
Cowboy Junkies
Emily Jane White
Neil Young
Fleet Foxes
James
Mark Lanegan
Godspeed! You Black Emperor
The Black Keys
Earth (they're playing in Austria soon, so I might actually go)
Calexico (saw them once, but would love to catch them again 😍)

There's plenty more, but these are my top priorities 🙂

Great list 👍
I'd love to see a good chunk of those too. But honestly, seeing Waits live is my biggest wish.🙏

I feel exactly the same way; seeing these acts would be such a nostalgic trip back to my younger teenage years. 😍

At the very top of my Top of the Pops list, there is definitely Radiohead. It would be such a wonderful experience to catch them live before they decide to call it quits entirely. 😳

Muse follows right behind Radiohead, and I am crossing my fingers that they make their way over to the States, especially after that total fiasco during their last tour.

I also missed out on seeing Pearl Jam
last time, so I am truly hoping all those rumors about them touring here turn out to be true.
Then there is Lady Gaga😳, whom I regret not buying tickets for back when I actually had the money—after that, the budget just wasn't there anymore!

I simply have to see
Rage Against the Machine, much like I do with Eminem😬.

I'd also love to catch Delphic, The xx, Interpol, The National🙂 (who I actually only discovered after they had already been touring extensively—I used to be convinced they were just a boring band!), Hurts, Sleigh Bells, M83, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Grizzly Bear, and Lily Allen.

That is everything I can think of for the moment. 😬

I’d definitely be down to see most of these acts. But honestly? My ultimate bucket list item would be catching Tom Waits live... 🙏

I caught them back in Milan during the "Glitter and Doom" tour—theater setting, orchestra pit, eighth row... ☕ It was actually pretty decent. ☕ Just a small thing, tickets were about 150 bucks. 😁

For sure.

Hearing something like this live...

it's priceless! *

I'm right there with you on Crippled Black Phoenix, especially since "i , Vigilante" really hit home for me.

Opeth - playing as headliners
Porcupine Tree - Vienna 2009 😢
Agalloch
New Order - the real question is whether they’ll actually hit the road more often
God Is an Astronaut - they're heading to Vienna soon, but priorities come first—if the money stacks up, who knows...
Blind Guardian - supposedly around April 🙂
Mercenary, Symphony X, Psychotic Waltz, Nevermore - I'll be seeing all of them very soon☕

Lollapalooza?
I’d love to catch them again—along with a few other bands on that lineup—but honestly, it’s just too much cash to drop, not to mention spending an entire week out there sweating or freezing depending on the hour. That said, if Evergrey and Opeth decide to show up, I am there, no questions asked. 🤣

ZZ Top
Motörhead
Rodrigo y Gabriela
The Rolling Stones
I find myself once again lost in contemplation regarding the enduring legacy of Santana, a musician whose influence seems to permeate the very fabric of American musical history in a way that is difficult to quantify, though one feels it instinctively whenever a certain rhythmic intensity takes hold. It is quite easy to get swept up in the sheer technical brilliance of his guitar work, yet I often wonder if we truly grasp the profound emotional weight he carries through every melodic excursion, much like how one might ponder the complexities of a classic piece by Gabriel The Rolling Stones Santana AC/DC. There is a certain gravity to his presence on stage that demands a measured, almost reverent kind of attention, far removed from the fleeting distractions of modern pop culture.
AC/DC
I find myself frequently returning to the music of Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band, lost in those sweeping blues progressions that seem to demand a certain level of contemplative stillness from the listener. There is a particular gravity to their sound, an earnestness in the way the guitar work interacts with the rhythm section, which I often feel provides a necessary anchor in an era where musical compositions can sometimes feel fleeting or superficial. One cannot help but wonder if we have lost that specific, deliberate craftsmanship in modern mainstream productions, though perhaps that is merely my own aging sensibilities reflecting back at me through a lens of nostalgia.

And even that sort of thing exists out there. 😁
