My post got nuked last night, and here was the reason given:

I realized later that the mod actually followed protocol since the rules say you can't copy texts longer than 2000 characters.
The issue isn't really the deletion itself, it's just that they suddenly started enforcing this rule out of nowhere.
Then there's the fact that the rule isn't even being used consistently anymore, because right here in this same thread, there's a post by Sarah Wilson95 that definitely has over 2000 characters of quoted text, and her entire comment is basically just "coffee talk topics:".

So, it would be nice to know why my post got hit when it's never happened before, especially since it looks like there's no intention of actually enforcing it moving forward.

Maybe it's just some specific users getting picked on.

The truth is, this entire thread is a complete mess that misinterprets historical events, hard facts, and everything currently happening in relation to them. So, when I post a specific excerpt from a text along with its source, which truly places everything mentioned into its proper context,you can go ahead and label it as breaking Forum rules, trolling, communist propaganda, or whatever other nonsense you want to call it. But I am asking you nicely: please DO NOT refer to my posts as pamphlets, especially not using that ridiculous terminology.

I truly had no intention of posting some sort of political manifesto, and unlike a few people hanging around this Forum, I don't use this space for those kinds of agendas 😁

besides, given how chaotic and messy this thread already is, my single post containing a snippet of text and a link is practically a drop in the bucket

They totally ruined a young, innocent, healthy guy. They just destroyed his entire life... and he didn't do anything wrong. His only crime was being an American soldier for a few months in the US.
Another relative, who was never even in the military, was killed in 1945. They came to his house, dragged him away, and killed him like a dog. Supposedly someone reported him for shouting "Long live America." He was only 15 when they killed him.

My father had everything lined up to get one of those communist apartments in New York City—you know, when they supposedly gave them to everyone—but obviously, he didn't get one because his old man was an Ustaše.
Because of his dad, my uncle couldn't even get a job, even though he graduated top of his class and was a total pro in his field. Luckily, he found work in Germany and made it happen.

I know plenty of other communist crimes that happened within a few blocks of my house, all with names and faces attached... I even know the names of the killers. Just saying.

And here's the kicker... I've NEVER posted this on the internet before, but I'm doing it now.

And then comes this guy who deserves like 20 permanent bans on this Forum, and there's pretty much evidence he's just a clone of a permanently banned user, typing this out:

It’s honestly tough to spot guys like this and just tune them out, since they don't add anything to the conversation. Nobody's gonna miss him, and things would actually be way better if he just disappeared.

Sure, you can always shut down my right to ask by using some technicality (calling it a 🙏 loophole), but I've been ready for that for a long time now. It's just a matter of when it happens, I guess. That's always your prerogative. I won't hold it against you if you use it.

As for me stirring the pot by uncovering some dirty oil under the political hood... that's on you guys. It's an issue of how you pick the people running things. So don't go killing the messenger; maybe check if you sent the wrong commander and the wrong troops out into the field in the first place.

honestly, my biggest issue is political correctness—both from people using this Forum for their own ends, and my own stupidity for letting everything slide in the name of free speech, which lets all sorts of stuff slip through
one thing's for sure: some of my guys will never take power because I just don't have people like that

The issue isn't that there are users here using the Forum for an agenda. That'll always happen; it's just part of politics.
I'll admit I fall into that trap sometimes too, but hey, we're human.

The real problem with politics is that you have moderators who have their own agendas on the Forum, and that’s a slightly bigger deal than just user agendas.

Because moderators have "editing power," and that should be free from any agenda except maybe the owner's.

But arguing is pointless since it won't change anything, so let's drop it.

Personally, I don't have anything against you. I don't have anything against people with different views either, whether in politics or life. To me, diversity is a good thing.
As long as that "different" person isn't trying to erase my differences.

Can someone please make sense of this for me?

I’ve been trying to report offensive posts... nothing happens. Absolutely nothing. Then, out of nowhere, I get hit with a warning. When I ask why I’m being penalized while the person actually insulting me gets a free pass, I just get told, "We didn't receive your report." Okay. Fast forward a month or two, and it’s the exact same song and dance. "We didn't receive your report, you probably didn't do it right—did you actually click the little triangle next to the post 🙄?" Fine. So, I stop reporting anything at all. But then, suddenly, I get a message from a different moderator telling me to stop spamming their inbox with reports. Is that even possible? 😁 This is specifically about the moderators over in the US section—first they claim they aren't getting anything, and then suddenly I'm "spamming" them—and also a moderator from the Recreation section, which isn't even an area I hang out in, so 🤷. I honestly started thinking maybe I was doing something wrong or that the button itself was broken, especially after I messaged a few other moderators just to see if my reports were actually landing. Turns out, they are working fine for everyone else. So... what gives? Is it just the US section that's broken 🤣?

As for my role in all of this, since I stepped into my moderator position here on the US Forum, I haven't actually seen any of your specific reports come across my desk. I did send you a direct message explaining that once you submit a report regarding that particular issue next time, we will be sure to take it into consideration.

The moderation team has changed quite a bit recently, so I'm honestly not entirely sure who you think you're reaching out to. Regarding the whole situation with flooded inboxes—which isn't happening with mine, and I certainly hope it won't happen with anyone else's—perhaps you were just being a little too persistent. 🤷

Everything I write gets deleted under the guise of being labeled as trolling or similar nonsense, when it is blatantly obvious that the only reason is that we disagree. It seems the moderator feels entitled to hit the delete button just because my opinion differs from theirs.
Furthermore, there is another glaring issue here: it is highly probable that the moderator has a personal connection to the user maher18, because not a single one of that person's posts has been removed to date. Meanwhile, everything I post is scrubbed—including my posts where I present actual facts and arguments. My last post was simply a rebuttal to one of the many absurdities maher18 has been spewing while masquerading as a medical professional—specifically a psychiatrist... and honestly, the level of misinformation this person provides is beyond abnormal. For instance, they claimed that no dealer would ever want cannabis decriminalized because they would have to pay taxes.
If you are going to sit there and write something just to look smart when you clearly have no clue about the subject matter, the least you can do is actually do some research.

I don't mean to be rude, though that is quite literally the situation here. It is embarrassing to see such nonsense being peddled, let alone the implication that I was publicly voicing these ridiculous ideas back when I was fifteen. Truly shameful.
So, my question and my grievance are this: why does the moderator, ambermason16, take it upon themselves to delete factual statements whenever I present them, yet refuses to delete
