Has this movie already hit theaters here in the States, or is it still on the horizon? If it's coming soon, does anyone know when?

I watched this movie yesterday and I truly found myself enjoying the experience. I didn't expect to enjoy it much because I had read a few negative reviews beforehand, but I really think it's worth someone's time...
The theme isn't entirely new, but it feels like such a grounded story where
so many people might find themselves relating to the main characters...
I loved the overall atmosphere and how they captured the
complexities of marriage, love, loyalty, and attraction...
The lead actors were quite good and felt very convincing.. 🙏
Don't miss out on this one 👍

I actually really liked the movie.
The plot is pretty straightforward—but man, there’s a lot going on under the surface.
As for connecting with the characters > it honestly kind of breaks my heart to think about anyone actually identifying with them.🙄
Keira Knightley and Guillaume Canet are 👍. I used to find Eva Mendes super annoying before this film, but not anymore.
One thing I wasn't feeling > the chemistry Sam Worthington shows is just way too over the top. He spends the whole time staring at Eva Mendes like a total idiot. 🤣 They definitely went overboard there.
Also, I get the vibe that everything Keira Knightley does is driven by her current marriage situation rather than genuine feelings. Which, when you get to the end... turns out that's not even the case.🙄

I just took a look at the page for *The Impossible*. Honestly, I’m still trying to wrap my head around it. It’s one of those movies that really sticks with you, maybe because it feels so raw. I guess it hits different when you realize how much people actually went through during those kinds of disasters. It's definitely heavy stuff. Maybe some people would find it too intense, but I felt like it was necessary to show the reality of it. I don't know, I have mixed feelings about how much they lean into the emotion, but it’s hard to deny the performances were solid. It's a tough watch, for sure.

The movie hit theaters here in the States back in November of last year, but the European rollout didn't really kick off until February 2011—and unfortunately, they skipped over us entirely. They announced the DVD release this past August, so I guess it looks like we might be watching yet another great film suffer the same fate as Hachik and The Runaways. 😢

It looks like they haven't released the official soundtrack yet, though I guess I managed to track down an unofficial version somehow.

Check out this killer review:
I don't know, maybe I'm just being cynical, but reading this recap of last night’s big Hollywood gala makes me feel like I'm losing my mind. It’s all just noise. Everyone is talking about who wore what and which A-lister was spotted at the afterparty, but honestly? It feels incredibly hollow. I guess some people actually find this stuff riveting, but to me, it just looks like a bunch of manufactured moments designed to sell tabloids. You have these massive stars acting like they're part of some exclusive club, while the rest of us are just watching the spectacle from the sidelines. It’s exhausting. Maybe I’m just old school, or maybe I just have a low tolerance for this kind of superficiality, but it feels like we're celebrating nothing. Just lights, expensive dresses, and ego. It's all very performative.

Here are all three versions of that mesmerizing trailer:

I can't really get my head around this video. I guess I'm just looking at it, trying to make sense of the whole thing, but maybe I'm missing something obvious. It feels... I don't know, disjointed? It’s hard to tell if it’s supposed to be profound or if it’s just aimless. I might be overthinking it, but there's something about the pacing that just feels off to me. It’s frustrating, honestly. I kept waiting for a point to land, but it never quite did. Maybe it's just not my thing, but I expected more.
I can't really get into this video right now because I don't have access to external links like YouTube. If you want to talk about what’s actually happening in the clip, maybe just give me a breakdown of the main points or tell me what part specifically bothered you. I guess if you describe the context, I might have an opinion on it.
I can't really get into this video. I mean, I tried to watch it, but it’s just... I don't know. It feels like there's something missing here. Maybe it's just me, but I found it pretty hard to connect with what was being said. It's all a bit much, I guess. I'm not sure if I'd call it helpful or even interesting, per se. Just felt kind of aimless.

I caught this movie about a week ago and really enjoyed it! Having read the review above—which, honestly, hits the nail on the head regarding why the film works—it leaves me wondering... have you ever felt the temptation to cheat? Or perhaps even accused a partner of being unfaithful? Is physical betrayal actually worse than an emotional one? Just some food for thought...😍

This movie actually caught me off guard. I really wasn't expecting much...
It isn't some shallow flick, either. The relationships have actual depth. Especially the dynamic between Joanne and Alex. There's this heavy emotional bond there, and by the end, you're left wondering if it was just a love that never got its shot, or if they totally blew it when they split up. Is it too late to fix those old mistakes, or is the whole thing just an illusion?

Then you have Michael and Laura, which is a completely different vibe... more about raw passion, instinct, and that sheer rush. Though, it felt like she had these massive expectations that she eventually just crushed herself, almost like she was kidding herself. At least, that’s how it landed with me.

I walked away feeling like everyone in this story messed up somehow. But Joanne and Alex seem like they'll be the ones hurting most. Alex especially. Guillaume Canet was excellent in his role.

Even though the pacing is pretty slow, it does a great job of setting the mood.
I think you get it better once you've lived through similar stuff yourself 😉 whether that's been a good experience or a bad one 😬

I was honestly blown away by this movie. It captures how heavy relationships can get—that messy tangle of raw emotion and passion that most people would just consider "normal" behavior.
But let’s be real: it feels a bit unrealistic that she wasn't terrified of being judged by someone out in public, just like he didn't feel any hesitation telling Andy to cover him up... I don't know. I didn't see much guilt coming from his side, if anything, it seemed to stem more from her.
