I assume the thread was deleted, so I’m curious if there was any specific reasoning behind it regarding those of us looking for more affordable ticket options?
On another note... that particular discussion was one of the most high-quality threads on this Forum, perhaps even the best we've had. It would be wonderful if you might consider restoring it, much to the delight of the loyal, dedicated, and long-standing members of this community.

Thank you. 🙂

Well, looks like the thread got nuked, along with the author, who apparently couldn't figure out how to follow basic rules or honor a simple agreement for more than five minutes

I posted this question a few days back, though I suspect I might have picked the wrong thread, so I wanted to ask if anyone other than hollowtrucker77 could weigh in on this. What exactly are these "agreements" people keep mentioning, and what is the specific reasoning behind trying to stop Phoenix from posting on Politics? I really don't want to make it seem like I'm just looking for loopholes when everything being said is clearly permitted by the rules.

Invoking these supposed "backroom deals" or claiming a violation of the rules is a pretty hard argument to make when we all know those standards aren't applied equally to everyone here.

After all, isn't the whole point of the Forum to allow for a diverse range of perspectives and opinions?

If they banned this guy for good, they’d have to ban me too just to get rid of all my clones.

But seriously, I don't get why they keep nuking threads that are already right here.🤷

Phoenix was handed a golden ticket that absolutely nobody else has been given
even though there’s a permanent ban on his account, we actually let him keep his own thread just so he could write in it
but apparently, that wasn't enough of a deterrent for him to stop creating clones of himself just to jump back into Politics
and well, since everything in life eventually hits a wall, patience and tolerance aren't any different, and now Phoenix has joined the ranks of everyone else who simply lacks the basic ability to communicate on a platform like this

I honestly don't think you're being entirely truthful here, and I feel it would be beneficial if someone else—perhaps the moderators over on the Politics Forum, other admins, or even Anderson...—could step in and verify whether Phoenix really is the sole individual who has actually violated the rules

(if we're going to lean into that specific argument, shouldn't we?)

Who else besides him actually got the chance to run their own thread despite being permanently banned?

Who else do you think deserves their own dedicated thread despite being banned?

Don't push him with questions like that; he hasn't earned it. Just because things went his way once doesn't mean he did anything right. He messed up. He had plenty of chances to fix things, and nobody stepped in to bail him out—he did this to himself. He just kept using those same old political tactics with all those clones. He's done it enough times now that he’s officially lost all credibility. You’ve seen why the topic was removed, so I think we can finally close this thread, especially since he won't be starting any new ones anyway.

You really shouldn't jump to any final conclusions until you've responsibly confirmed or debunked whether the rule regarding permanent bans is actually being strictly followed ☕ since you seem to be basing your argument on what was said

Are we talking about Phoenix and the topic at hand? Did anyone actually get an answer? I don't really see the point in playing lawyer for everyone else. The reality is, Phoenix is just dealing with what usually happens to forum members who get permanently banned. We should probably be focusing our discussion on how he lost his own privileges through his own mistakes. Honestly, I don't think there's much left to debate here.

It’s a matter of perspective, or more simply put: this is just untrue. I’m stating that quite bluntly because everyone already knows it, but if you’re going to lean on the rules regarding permanent bans, then at least clarify whether that rule is actually applied consistently across the board or not. If it is, fine, but if it isn't, then it serves as no valid argument against Phoenix.

Privileges? Calling Phoenix's corner a PRIVILEGE? He's been barred from posting in Politics (though nobody has ever provided a coherent explanation as to why), so he was graciously granted the PRIVILEGE of having his own thread—a thread whose title originally mentioned Phoenix, though it could have just as easily been titled "Good Morning, America."

Given that the whole point of an exchange forum is to pit different viewpoints against one another, I truly don't understand what you all are trying to achieve with this situation in the Politics section. If Phoenix holds an opinion that differs from what Chicago Sash, wiredangler5, or especially Simbi OS or xy prefer, is that really enough reason to silence him? What year is this, and what kind of society are we living in?

His posts are being cited by other media outlets, yet here on this Forum, they are being deleted. 😕

I honestly don't see why anyone is surprised that Phoenix was banned from Politics. To me, it feels hypocritical; if you actually know Phoenix's body of work on Politics—and you definitely do—you shouldn't be shocked. I’m not talking about his opinions, because there are hundreds of other users here with views just like his who post on Politics all the time. You always see people complaining on the right side that they get censored while liberals get a free pass, but are you really not seeing what's happening here? Let's drop this empty argument that he was banned for his views.
He was banned because of how he treated people. You know perfectly well how abrasive he could be and how often he resorted to insults. It surprises me that you're overlooking that. You notice everyone else's insults instantly, though. So please, spare me the lectures about him being silenced for his opinions. And please, don't try to turn him into a martyr, especially after everything I've read in his posts where he was so disrespectful to others. If the media wants him, they can keep quoting him. That's not what this is about, so let's not go down that path.

And don't even get me started on the attacks against Simbu-Os. People get permanent bans for much less than what he was doing. After all that, Phoenix was tolerated for a long time. Honestly, it was a privilege that, at his request, he was given a specific corner where he could chat with his friends without anyone interfering. He just needed to stay in that lane. Don't start pointing fingers at others now, especially since you didn't say anything when he was using that space. Now that this topic has been touched upon, suddenly we're all acting dramatic and calling out everyone else. Please, it's not right. They could have let him continue, but he truly crossed the line this time.
We are talking about Phoenix and his specific thread here. If you have evidence regarding people using clone accounts, report it to the sub moderators, the admins, Anderlon, Bajic, or even the Attorney General's office. But as far as Phoenix and his thread go, it's over, and this discussion is over too.

Best, 🙂
