Look, man—you have to realize that Camtasia and Windows Movie Maker are two completely different beasts altogether.
Windows Movie Maker is built for editing video after the fact, whereas Camtasia is specifically designed for capturing what’s happening on your screen.
The best way to think about it is when you're scrolling through YouTube and stumble upon one of those "how-to" tutorials—those are almost always captured using Camtasia.

Take a look at this:

screen recording

Look, it's one option. I don't have the bandwidth in my life to go back and forth on this. I posted two screenshots—the interfaces are basically twins, even a blind man could see it. I made a suggestion, now you guys find me something similar. I'm out of this thread.☕

That’s like claiming Adobe Illustrator is an image editor just because it happens to have a few filters like sharpen, contrast, or gamma. Its core purpose is graphic design.

It works on my end too. Just wondering if there's a way to make subtitles and how to go about it.

Hey there, I was wondering if anyone might be able to lend me a hand with something. I'm trying to put together this slideshow that features both text and images, where the plan is to have all the text appear first—though, full disclosure, it’s about 3,000 words long—followed by some photos set to music. My little issue is that I tried tinkering around with Windows Movie Maker, but it seems like their subtitle effects hit a wall at maybe 70 or 80 words per slide, which isn't ideal. :( So, I guess what I'm really asking is if there's a specific program out there where I can just dump the entire block of text in and let it run through everything automatically? Doing it manually 70 words at a time would honestly take me forever, and I'd much rather spend my time on something else. Help me out if you can!!
