Best PDF editors?

Hey,
can anyone help me out with a link for a program that converts Word docs and stuff into PDFs? I know I need to download some software so I can just use the Print option to get it done. 🙂

I can't speak for all the other versions of Office out there, but if you're rocking Microsoft Word 2007, you actually have this handy little trick up your sleeve:
Save As --> PDF or XPS 🙄,

So, I’ve got this PDF file which is essentially a scan of a book where they’ve crammed two pages onto a single sheet. My goal is to split them "down the middle" so I can end up with individual pages in a standard US Letter format. Does anyone know of a reliable, free program that can handle this without making my life difficult?

No software is going to automate that for you. Printing multiple pages onto one sheet isn't the hard part—it’s getting the logic to work in reverse that's the real headache.

I used to rely on PDFCreator, but lately, I’ve been sticking with PDF24 Creator. If you’re just working in Microsoft Word or Google Docs, you probably don't even need extra software since those programs let you save directly as a PDF.
