Hello everyone

Ten days ago, I underwent surgery using the Kate Allen35 method to address grade two and three hemorrhoids.
I went home the very next day after the procedure. Shortly after returning home, I dealt with terrible pain and high blood pressure, but since then, everything has seemed fine.
However, when I have a bowel movement, I sometimes experience quite intense burning.
I am wondering if this is simply because the skin in that area is sensitive and slightly damaged following the surgery, or if there is something else going on.
Today, after using the bathroom, I feel a pulsing sensation in my rectal area that feels remarkably similar to what I experienced before the operation; it feels as though the hemorrhoids inside are still "working" and pulsating just like they used to.
This is somewhat frightening to me. Is this a normal part of the recovery process?
Additionally, after finishing a bowel movement today, I felt a small protrusion near the anus that was definitely not there a few days ago. Looking in a mirror, it appears as though a small lump has popped out; the area simply looks different than it did two days ago.
For those of you who have undergone the Kate Allen35 method, what has your postoperative experience been like?
Did any of you experience anything similar, and did your hemorrhoids actually disappear for good after the surgery?

Alright everyone, just wanted to give a quick rundown of my situation—I've been struggling with standard hemorrhoids for about 15 years now, and five years ago, I ended up with three fistulas, or something like that... basically, they just appeared. They bleed constantly, they hurt, and cleaning up is such a nightmare—I can only manage with wet wipes... I went in for an exam today and decided to finally try the rubber band ligation method for the first time. They didn't even give me any local anesthesia because they told me it wouldn't actually hurt. Now, the exam itself? Not exactly pleasant, but nothing major... but placing that band... oh my god. It only lasts a few seconds, but the pain is absolutely maddening. They popped a Ketoral plug in me and sent me on my way. It was over an hour's drive from Washington, D.C. back home, and honestly, the pain was so intense I was vomiting in the car. So now I'm just lying on my side, scrolling through what you all are saying, and I just took some Voltaren because the pain is unbearable—it's going to be quite the party when I actually have to go to the bathroom 😁—and I have no clue when this pain will subside or when those "dangly bits" will finally dry up...
I can handle this level of pain for maybe one or two days at most; if it lasts longer than that, I’m terrified to ever let anyone put those bands on me again 😁

I recently got some advice to pick up some Marek HEMOROL cream for hemorrhoids at the local pharmacy. I think I paid about $17 if I remember correctly... honestly, I was in so much pain. Going to the bathroom was a total nightmare. That evening, right after my shower, I applied it generously to the area, and by the next morning, things felt so much better. I couldn't believe how fast it kicked in. I kept applying it twice a day for a few days and everything just cleared up... no more pain. Now, that tube is a permanent resident in my medicine cabinet 🙂... I really hope this helps someone else as much as it helped me 😉

About 10 days ago, I had surgery for hemorrhoids using the HAL-RAR method... they were grade two or three...
I went home the day after the procedure. Right after getting back, my blood pressure spiked and the pain was just brutal, but since then, everything has been fine...
However, when I go to the bathroom, sometimes there's a pretty intense burning sensation...
Is that just because the skin is a bit damaged and sensitive following the surgery, or what?...
Today, after a bowel movement, I feel this pulsing sensation in my backside, almost exactly like what I felt before the operation, and it feels like the hemorrhoids inside are "working" or "pulsing" just like they used to...
It’s actually scaring me a little... is this normal?...
On top of that, it feels like I felt a small bump near the anus after using the restroom that wasn't there a few days ago... looking in the mirror, it looks like a tiny little lump popped out... basically, the area looks different than it did two days ago...
What have your postoperative experiences been like for those of you who underwent the HAL-RAR method?...
Did anything similar happen to you? Did the hemorrhoids actually stay gone after the surgery?...

They're gone for good. Though, yeah, the whole setup down there definitely looks a bit different now...

I'm 20 years old and I'm dealing with constant constipation.
It’s true that I’ve been living on fast food and junk lately, but as soon as I noticed the first symptoms, I started working out and drinking about 2 liters of fluids a day, including fruit juices, but nothing seems to be working.
My stools are still incredibly hard, and now I've developed hemorrhoids that are really stinging.
I feel bloated all the time, and honestly, I just feel terrible.
Senna tea clears things out, but it feels way too aggressive for me. I’ve also tried bran, probiotic yogurt, and stuff like that, but there hasn't been any real progress.
I'm pretty terrified of doctors... the idea of enemas... or even surgery.
Plus, I'd rather not rely on a bunch of pills, capsules, or teas because I'm worried about my body becoming dependent on them, and they don't seem healthy given how young I am.

Has anyone else gone through something similar, and if so, how did you actually fix it? 🙂

Ugh, I’m dealing with this hemorrhoid issue too. 😢 It showed up about a week ago; there’s no pain, itching, or burning, but I just want it gone. 😢 I tried using Hemoproct, but nothing happened. Olive oil was pretty ineffective, too. I just started using Faktu cream, so I’m not sure if that will actually help. I also wanted to ask if it’s okay to have sex (vaginal, not anal) while dealing with a hemorrhoid, and if there's a chance this will clear up on its own soon. I’m worried about things getting worse, but I’m honestly a bit nervous about seeing a doctor. If anyone has any insight, I’d really appreciate it—this is weighing on me. 😢

Can I still have sex (not anal, just vaginal) while dealing with this? And is there any chance they'll just vanish on their own? I'm terrified they'll get worse, but honestly, I'm too scared to go see a doctor. If anyone knows anything, I'd really appreciate the help. This is stressing me out. 😢

I had massive hemorrhoids once, all because of those constipation pills. I tried everything; sitting or walking was pure torture. Eventually, I used some Nivea cream, washed the area with distilled water a few times, and kept applying the Nivea. Then, I basically shoved the hemorrhoid back inside where it belonged. 🙂 It hurt like hell, but it worked. 🤣 Now, I get them occasionally, but never as bad as before. Just keep the area clean, use ointment, and make sure to wash up after using the bathroom. Also, try putting ice on the painful spot—it helps a lot. And yeah, you can still have sex.

Take a look at this thread: The moderator will definitely merge this once they see where you're heading with this. As for hemorrhoids, though... I'm practically a PhD in that field.😁

It isn't actually huge—it’s relatively small (at least in my opinion, since everyone else seems to be describing something massive). I don't have an issue with it right now, but I am worried it might get worse. Ideally, I'd just like it to go away if possible. My mother tells me not to worry and says she deals with the same thing occasionally, but I'm concerned because this has been going on for a week now. Thanks for the response; I'll give that a try and see if it works. 😁

Look, this isn't exactly the most fun topic to bring up, but we've all got stuff we need to deal with, right?
So, I tried those Pilex tablets, and honestly, they were a lifesaver for me. I was dealing with some bleeding from hemorrhoids and everything pretty much just cleared up... it just receded, I guess. I was actually pretty skeptical at first, especially since they’re kind of pricey and I didn't want to waste money experimenting, but they worked perfectly—or maybe they just really agreed with me... anyway, for 14 of them, you're looking at about $200
If you want to check out the details on the tablets, here's the link

Just wanted to share a quick success story: I’ve been applying Fact cream and it has actually reduced the swelling 😁 😁 😁 I’m hoping it clears up completely, but at least I feel more relieved now. Honestly, I think the whole thing was triggered by overexertion; I tried moving a piece of furniture that was way heavier than I anticipated, and the hemorrhoids flared up that very same day. From now on, I’m sticking to lifting nothing heavier than my phone :P. To be honest, reading about how bad things can get is pretty terrifying. That said, since everyone seems to rave about Fact, I decided to give it a shot, and I have to say, it really works. Sending good vibes to everyone else—I hope this helps you too

It won't just vanish entirely. But the main thing is how well Fact works. Just make sure you don't strain yourself; you already know that part...

I'm dealing with stage two internal hemorrhoids.
My doctor suggested I undergo surgery using the HAL method. Honestly, things haven't been unbearable yet—I haven't even had to reach for anything like Preparation H up to this point—but I am planning on getting pregnant soon. Because of that, my physician recommended I get ahead of this now so I don't end up facing much more intense issues during pregnancy.
To be perfectly candid, I’m feeling quite apprehensive about the whole procedure. I’ve actually been putting it off because I’m terrified of potential post-op complications. I've been reading horror stories online about how you might lose bowel control after the surgery, along with a whole laundry list of other issues, and it makes it incredibly difficult to pull the trigger on a decision.
If anyone here has found themselves in a similar situation, I would truly appreciate hearing about your experiences. Also, if you have any recommendations for a reputable private clinic or a specific specialist in the States, please let me know.
It feels like I'm shouting into a void here; I don't really have anyone in my immediate circle I can turn to for advice on this, as it seems like I'm the only one I know who deals with this kind of thing.
I also can't help but feel a bit cynical about the whole process. Since I went through my exam at a private facility, I can't shake the feeling that it's just easier for the doctor to recommend surgery to keep the business moving and the revenue flowing. (Just to be clear, money isn't the issue for me if this truly is the most effective path forward).

Thanks in advance

My doctor recommended surgery using the HAL method. I don't have massive issues right now (I haven't even used any treatments yet), but I am planning to get pregnant. For that reason, the doctor suggested getting it handled beforehand so I don't deal with major complications during pregnancy.
I'm honestly a bit terrified of the surgery. I keep putting it off because I'm scared of the aftermath. I read online that there's a risk of losing bowel control, among other things, and I just can't make up my mind.
If anyone has been in a similar spot, could you share your experience? Also, which private clinic or doctor would you recommend?
I don't really have anyone close to me to ask about this (it feels like I'm the only one dealing with this, since none of my friends have ever mentioned having these kinds of problems).
I am also aware that since I went to a private clinic for an exam, it might be easier for the doctor to suggest surgery just to keep their business moving. (To be clear, money isn't the issue if this truly is the best solution).

Thanks in advance

If you look back at my posts from last year, everything will make sense. It’s definitely better to fix this now while it's still in the early stages. This is one of the least invasive procedures out there; you won't have issues. As for the loss of control—they're lying to you. After this specific treatment, you don't have to worry about that at all. See, there's a sensory area above the hemorrhoids that allows you to control your movements and tell the difference between gas and actual stool, and that area remains untouched. They use a probe to find the specific blood vessel supplying the hemorrhoids and destroy it, which prevents them from coming back—something that used to happen constantly with those old-school methods. Hajde, go back and read my posts from March, April, and May of last year. I laid out the entire procedure and my whole recovery process there. I was actually the toughest case to deal with, so if you're only at stage two, it won't be nearly as bad for you. After everything was done, my hemorrhoid problems were gone for good...
Just do it now and get this headache over with...

I was actually hoping they would just disappear 😢 but apparently not... at least I don't have issues with them anymore. As for physical exertion, I understand now that I shouldn't be pushing myself alone—something I definitely didn't consider before.

Thanks for getting back to me. I’m going to take some time to sit down and comb through the previous posts here, then I'll circle back once more if any additional questions happen to cross my mind.

Guys, I need some help. I’m dealing with hemorrhoids, and honestly, I had no idea it could get this nasty... Last night, I noticed a few of them right at the opening. And don't even get me started on the pain. I've tried applying some drugstore cream a couple of times, but it hasn't done much. To be fair, there aren't as many as there were last night, but the ones left behind look terrible. Two or three have swollen right at the edge, and they're this deep, dark purple color.

I've never dealt with anything like this before, and frankly, I'm freaking out. What am I supposed to do? Is my backside ever going to look normal again, or is this "swollen" situation permanent? 😢

I know this sounds ridiculous to most people, but it really isn't funny to me. 😢

Classic... It's a good sign that they've shrunk, and that bluish tint is just typical for hemorrhoids. You need to see a doctor. For more details, scroll up and read through everyone else's experiences here. Mine were pretty rough, but things ended well in the end. Surgery was the answer for me. Bottom line: you can't do anything without seeing a physician...

Is there any way to dodge the doctor entirely? And honestly, what can a doctor even do for hemorrhoids?

I did some digging online and stumbled upon Pilex capsules, but man, they cost an absolute fortune. Anyone here actually tried them?

Actually, you're mistaken there—you really ought to see a doctor. It isn't right for us to be handing out medical advice on a forum as if we were all experts. A physician is the one in charge of this stuff. That said, if you have some questions, I can certainly offer some practical perspective based on my own extensive experience fighting this beast. I used to think it would just fix itself through conservative methods, too—you know, just applying creams and hoping for the best. Creams help during the early stages, sure, but once you hit stage 4, they won't cut it. So please, go get a doctor to take a look at it. For a real thriller, check out my previous posts and those from others who managed to resolve this. In the end, we all made it through safely. Just go see a professional...
