neonwalker29 said:I HAVE A QUESTION! My dad had rectal bleeding, so he went to the doctor, and they told him he had three hemorrhoids and some sort of 2mm growth that they couldn't quite identify. They thought it might be a polyp or just some fleshy tissue, and they told him surgery was necessary. He went through the operation where they removed the three hemorrhoids and that little growth they weren't sure about. They sent the sample off for testing, and it turned out that the growth was actually just another hemorrhoid. My question is—is it really possible to misidentify a hemorrhoid? Is it actually possible to not know if something is a hemorrhoid, a polyp, or just extra tissue? Thanks in advance, and please excuse my poor grammar—I'm from Greece. Please help me out.

It’s entirely possible that they can't pinpoint exactly what it is at first glance... I've had hemorrhoid surgery myself, and on one of them, there was an inflammatory polyp—or at least, that's what the doctors suspected. That polyp was sent off for a biopsy, and in the end, it turned out to be nothing more than a hemorrhoid itself...

So first I felt this light itching, which lasted about two days, then it started hurting just a little bit. I was honestly wondering what the deal was—why the itch and the dull ache? Then I noticed some redness, like a little red bump. I couldn't tell if it was hemorrhoids or maybe just a skin irritation since I’ve been wearing those absorbent boxers lately. If it really is hemorrhoids, how do you even fix that???

Check this out. It’s a 7-minute clip where Dr. Oz (the guy from Oprah's shows) breaks down how to dodge hemorrhoids and drops some other solid advice.

I would appreciate some insight or advice
My husband has been dealing with itching and burning around his anal area for about 7 or 8 days now. There are no visible hemorrhoids, no bleeding, and his bowel movements are normal and soft.
Could this be the onset of hemorrhoids?
What kind of ointment would you recommend? We want to avoid heavy chemicals since he takes strong medications for a chronic condition he's had for years, and we don't believe this itching or burning is related to that illness.
Does anyone know of a plant-based option?

Here’s another one dealing with hemorrhoids.

I've been dealing with this stinging sensation whenever I go to the bathroom for about a year now, though everything else seems fine. I haven't noticed any heavy bleeding—just a little bit on the toilet paper, nothing major.

I'm trying to figure out what stage we're looking at here. Does this require surgery? Also, if you guys have any recommendations for the best cream to use, let me know.

Thanks in advance.

There's no way to know your stage without an exam... personally, I find Hemophilin cream works okay. Surgery is definitely an option, and honestly, I'm thinking about seeing a specialist for a procedure, though I'd probably go through a private clinic. Those heavy-duty creams help with the discomfort, but they don't actually fix the root cause.
Hemorrhoids are basically a modern epidemic.😢

Has anyone here actually used Hadens cream before? I know it’s manufactured in Austria... Is it any better than FedEx cream? A friend recommended FedEx to me, and now that I've opened it, I noticed the scent is almost identical to Hadens—it's got that menthol kick. What should I do? Should I stick with the Hadens or just switch over to FedEx? The pain is absolutely brutal; I'm currently out on medical leave because it's been a total nightmare.😠

So, I just went searching through the archives to see what everyone was saying. Just as I suspected. Everyone’s got their own opinion on what works. I'm not entirely sure what to expect when I check back in a few hours, but I recently started using Hadens, so I'm going to try FedEx tonight. To be honest, I’ve been coming onto these forums as a veteran of this struggle; I've been dealing with hemorrhoids for nearly two decades now, and they have absolutely wrecked my life. A long time ago, FactCheck actually helped me out. But lately, whenever things flare up, nothing seems to touch the pain. Since FactCheck doesn't contain any corticosteroids, it isn't really designed to handle severe inflammation anyway. A few years back, the pain was so intense I honestly thought I might die. I was screaming like a banshee. Now, I feel like I'm standing right on the edge of that kind of nightmare again...😢

Just put something on it. Honestly, I think some Hadens might actually help you out. Or maybe try that chamomile cream, or even FactCheck or Sagitaproct... just use anything at this point, because you really need to get that bleeding to stop. As for dealing with inflammation, if that’s what you're facing—well, that's a whole other conversation. We're all in the same boat there, asking the same questions and sharing what we've learned.

Just go get them surgically removed... it doesn't necessarily mean they'll come back.
Man, hemorrhoids are a total nightmare. If you haven't dealt with them, consider yourself lucky.

It looks like this FedEx stuff is a total bust. Honestly, I’ve seen zero improvement after 24 hours—none at all. I know you aren't supposed to swap products constantly, but this FedEx cream just isn't doing anything for me yet. It feels like I might have to go back to Hadens. Damn them, the pain is driving me crazy.😠

Look, the reason those FedEx tablets actually work is pretty simple...😉

Last night, after a rough trip to the bathroom, an external hemorrhoid flared up and hurt like absolute hell.
Since I have supplemental coverage through my insurance provider, I called them first thing this morning at 7:56 AM to explain the situation.
By around 10:00, they called me back and told me they’d managed to squeeze me in for a specialist appointment with a proctologist at 1:00 PM today!!!

I showed up for the appointment at 1:00 PM, was checked in by 1:05 PM, and by 1:15 PM, the doctor informed me that surgery was urgent because, besides that painful external one, I have internal ones that are bleeding.
By 1:35 PM, I was walking out of that doctor's office having had the hemorrhoids removed. I paid $267 for that "pleasure" and couldn't help thinking, "What an idiot—why didn't I just get this done eight years ago when the procedure is so painless?" (The only part that actually stung was when the doctor administered four injections of Lidocaine for the local anesthesia)

It's now 8:11 PM, and for the last three and a half hours, I've been cursing myself for even going to that damn proctologist. The local anesthesia has worn off, and honestly, I'm not even sure if I can fart, pee, or poop right now :S

Anyway, I'll check back in with updates once the pain subsides.

If anyone wants details about the surgeon who performed the operation or how the actual procedure went, feel free to shoot me a PM.

Look, the pain usually lingers for about two or three weeks after surgery. Your doctor should've prescribed you some painkillers to deal with it. In the meantime, stick to ice packs and sitz baths. And for heaven's sake, don't strain when you're hitting the bathroom—just wait until the absolute last second if you have to. We're pulling for you!

Maybe try using some Delta Hadens cream or those suppositories, assuming there isn't any active bleeding. A friend of mine mentioned she saw them available in pharmacies over in Greece.

Man, I have been absolutely wrecked these last few days. I’ve been crying like a little kid. It seems to be looking a bit better since last night, though. The real issue is that any kind of bowel movement just irritates those inflamed hemorrhoids.😠 Honestly, I went through this exact same thing a few years ago. It took about 20 or 30 days and two separate stints on medical leave before I finally got it under control. But the day before yesterday and yesterday? I was struggling harder than I ever have in my life. Believe me, there were moments where I thought it would be easier to just die than to keep enduring this level of pain. In the end, I managed to regulate things using Portalak syrup, which is lactulose-based. I highly recommend it to everyone—seriously, use it. It makes the stool more liquid without turning into full-blown diarrhea. Eating kiwi helped me too. The point is, you can't have firm stools right now; they need to be more fluid, and Portalak is honestly brilliant for that. Last night, for no apparent reason, things took a turn for the worse. The inflammation flared up so badly I actually felt like I was running a fever twice during the day. I was shivering uncontrollably even though my apartment was nice and warm. But it looks like I finally found the right remedy: Lidoproct. Here is what is in it: per gram of rectal ointment, you get 180 mg zinc oxide, 50 mg Lidocaine, 35 mg Aluminum subacetate, and 2.5 mg hydrocortisone acetate. It really seems to numb the irritated area. Anything that isn't inflamed doesn't feel sensitive to the touch, and the inflamed parts become much more bearable. Things are trending upward now, so I'm going to go lie down. I can't stand for long; the blood pools in the veins and then the pain kicks in.

Well, there was some bleeding before, but it's stopped now. Still, the pain comes back whenever I've been standing too long. I really need to go lie down. Thanks for the advice...

Does anyone know if there are any over-the-counter pills available for this?
