So, is it actually true that he has a stutter? I never really caught onto it myself—though looking back at some of those old YouTube interviews, I guess I can see how he talks a little more slowly than most!

Yeah, it’s true. He started stuttering around the end of elementary school, and honestly, a lot of that was why he started cracking jokes and playing the class clown—he said it was his way of showing everyone that even though he had a stutter, he wasn't any less capable. He used to be super outgoing and social, but the stuttering made him pull back into himself at first, so he found that when he stood in front of an audience—you know, when he's acting or stepping into a character—the stuttering just sort of vanishes. So, working alongside some specialists to manage it, he leaned into acting, and that's where he fell in love with the craft. Over time, he managed to pretty much overcome it almost entirely.

That one role in Die Hard that everyone just... overlooks...

👍👍👍👍Schwarzenegger turned down the role of John McClane in Die Hard (1988). The role went to Bruce Willis instead. Ironically, Bruce Willis has a line in the film where he says that the terrorists "have enough explosives to orbit Arnold Schwarzenegger".

Bruce Willis is the man. Die Hard is a legendary series—honestly, the second one is the only bit that's kinda mid. The first one and the fourth are absolute classics. I also think Armageddon is brilliant, and Jackal is easily my favorite of his.

He isn't just any actor, though he certainly has that style you mentioned... In fact, he doesn't even need to "act" in a movie; it’s enough just for him to show up and deliver a few lines. For me, it was always: Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, and then everyone else...

I watched Die Hard with a vengeance yesterday... honestly, it’s always been my absolute favorite in the whole series. I think the chemistry between Bruce Willis and the energy he brings to the screen just works so well here; they both seemed to be having such a blast with their performances. Plus, the way the villain sets up those specific stakes felt really impactful, especially since the first two movies were pretty much confined to one single location. My only real gripe is the ending, though. It felt like a bit of a letdown to me—kind of a rushed, lackluster confrontation that just didn't quite land the way it should have.

Personally, I found it a bit boring compared to how great the first two were... though you still get some decent moments, like that "I hate [slur] in Harlem" scene, that old car😁 and a really solid performance from Jeremy Irons!

A legendary actor, even if he’s a pretty mediocre singer, but I’ve already got this one on my playlist Bruce Willis - Under The Boardwalk

Pulp Fiction, The Fifth Element, and Sin City—I finally added them to my watchlist, so they should be up next in the next week or so.

Honestly, it’s been way too long since I sat down to watch a Bruce Willis movie, and I really need to fix that, right? It just so happens that I'm actually in the mood for these three specifically!

The actor who carries what might be the greatest action movie ever made (die a man 1) definitely deserves nothing but the highest praise in this regard. I guess it’s also hard to find any real misses among his other films, since most of them seem pretty easy to watch. He’s kind of an icon that Hollywood just doesn't produce anymore.
