It’s been exactly one year and one day since we lost our beloved custom signatures 😍

🙂

No more favorite fonts, no more colors... none of those little things that actually made this place fun 😁
But I guess 🤷... if we managed to pull through an entire year without them, we can certainly handle another 🙂

Unless, of course, there’s some kind soul out there who wants to brighten my day by announcing that regular users will finally get the same signature customization options as the moderators 😍

Ugh, look, there are some changes happening on the forum right now and you just never know. Maybe they'll bring back signatures, I guess, but I really don't hold my breath. 😢

Well, I didn't actually say signatures were being mentioned in any of this, but since some changes were announced, maybe signatures will make a comeback if the owner decides to actually refresh the forum. 😁

Hopefully we'll see those Microsoft Permissions 😍 👋 soon... and honestly, I couldn't care less about all this bickering over the old versus new mods 😁

I deleted it because the forum completely crashed while I was trying to edit, and it just wouldn't let me 🤷

Anyway 😁... exactly! ..just bring back the signatures 😍 ..that's really all we need 🙂

You can always just ask a moderator to tweak your signature for you if you need to. 🙂

I honestly can't believe the kind of nonsense they've pulled this time; I mean, seriously, just give us back our Microsoft Permissions already, if only so we could at least have the option to use lowercase letters or different colors 🙄

On another note, I really think we should consider bringing back the ability to edit signatures ourselves.
Maybe just limit it as needed, but leave us some control—specifically for things like bolding or setting the size to 1—since I've noticed most people end up requesting 😉

I don't know, it feels a bit silly having to bug a moderator just to tweak a signature... some people change theirs quite often, and then they have to bother someone every single time. 🤷 I imagine you guys already have plenty on your plates, and managing signature edits would probably just make your jobs more difficult.

I honestly still can't wrap my head around why we aren't allowed to have a dedicated section specifically for managing signatures upon request... you know, just one specific thread? It could house all sorts of tutorials, different techniques, Photoshop tips... maybe even little contests to see who has the best eye for quality or aesthetics.

I truly believe it would draw in a massive crowd of forum members who are already obsessed with this kind of stuff... 😉

But instead, we leave it to the moderators, and let’s be honest, that isn't even part of their job description... I just don't get it.
It shouldn't be that hard to see the upside of something like this—we could have work evaluations, signature battles, showcases, constructive criticism, seasoned pros helping out the newbies, and plenty of suggestions.
And then there's the technical side—backgrounds, color palettes, text effects, Photoshop brushes, renders, fonts, and whatnot... people who know, know.

So what's the catch?? 🤷
I've mentioned before that on some other major US forums, they have strict rules: say, a height of 150 px, a width of 450 px, and a file size under 70 kb... plus, maybe a limit of two (or more) emoticons in your signature.

Hey, listen, a huge number of people tend to avoid forums that allow way too much visual clutter and oversized images in signatures. Personally, I’ve steered clear of quite a few niche interest boards just because of that—they become impossible to navigate when posts get lost in all that chaos and massive signature graphics. 😁
Just imagine what those chat threads would look like; you'd have someone posting maybe three words, only to be met with a giant, neon-colored sheet of a signature.
